RV toilets come in many different shapes and sizes. Some are larger than standard toilets, while others are smaller. There are also RV toilets that are specifically designed for RVs. These toilets are usually larger than standard toilets, but they may be smaller than some of the other types of RV toilets.
There are many different types and models of RV toilets, but most of them are designed to be interchangeable. This means that you should be able to find a model that will fit into your RV, regardless of the make or model. There are a few exceptions to this rule, but for the most part, you should be able to find a toilet that will work in your RV.
You can install a porcelain toilet in an RV. The main thing you need to consider is the weight of the toilet. Most RVs can support a toilet that is up to 100 pounds.
Yes, you can install a regular toilet in an RV. However, you will need to make sure that the RV is properly ventilated and that the toilet is properly secured.

This has saved my life. It was challenging to make the two-hour walk to the campground restroom when our RV toilet failed. I needed a last-resort solution because I have a bladder condition. This is durable, tough, and simple to clean. 3 trash bags are included, however I suggest purchasing extra. Plastic seats aren't particularly pleasant, but they aren't painful either. If you're going camping or just want a backup in case of emergency, I advise.

I largely concur with other reviewers who express concern regarding long-term sturdiness, but feel that the reasonable price makes up for it. I would anticipate it to last and work effectively for many years if it were not misused. Be prepared to pay more if you want anything that is designed to be yank and slam resistant. People that abuse items harshly and irresponsibly, neglect maintenance, and then blame the manufacturer for a product's failure are not something I can tolerate very well. I've just used a couple flushes of plain water to test the toilet so far. I would expect that the bowl valve will adequately seal off odor because it closes strongly enough to maintain a little residual pool of water for a long time. Be advised that the new foam gasket is purposefully thick enough to require considerable compression during installation in order to achieve a proper seal. I advise alternating between the two retaining nuts as you gradually tighten the base of the toilet until it is flush with the floor. You must apply downward pressure to the toilet while tightening the two retaining nuts.

The Dometic 320 is a fantastic improvement over the standard RV toilet! The longer and deeper china bowl is much more comfortable, and if a basic seat isn't your taste, you can enhance it. The greater (18 "(bowl height) toilet is significantly more comfortable than a toilet that is the usual height. This toilet is one of my top ten upgrades for any camper or RV as a full-timer!The full-bowl swirling flush integrated into this design is a significant improvement, as is the lipped bowl. This design provides 100% coverage and enhances the flush's cleaning capabilities. With the same conventional design as high-quality domestic toilets, the lipped bowl makes perfect sense. It is impossible to overstate the value of the spray faucet that is incorporated. The advantage of being able to spot-clean as needed is more effective and less messy than using a toilet brush most of the time, even if it is only pressurized while using the flushing pedal! The sprayer has a mount that allows you to fasten it to the wall close to the toilet. My installation needed the 1/2 inch pipe to be changed "As a result of the different connecting locations, PEX water supply line. For the offset, I had to use two 90° fittings. A Watts P-620 Quick Connect Elbow with a 90° fitting and a Watts P-635 Quick Connect Female Swivel Elbow with a 90° fitting were both used "FPT connector) for the toilet's connection. A SeaTech 3539-10 Stop valve (1/2) was also attached "If I ever need to disconnect the water supply again, I will not have to turn off the water by placing a shut-off valve) below both connections at floor level. To avoid a cold-trap that freezes up more quickly than plastic connectors, I always use plastic fittings as opposed to metal ones.Installation, including re-fitting the water supply line, took about 30 minutes with the right connectors and equipment available. I used an adjustable wrench, a #2 Phillips-head screwdriver, a hacksaw, and a knife to smooth the PEX ends after trimming them to fit. A towel to mop up any water dripping from the supply line, cleaning products to clean the floor before new installation, and a sizable garbage bag to contain the removed toilet are all useful to have on hand.Like another reviewer, I experienced damaged delivery of my first UPS-shipped item. I received a replacement item from Amazon almost away, and they even gave me a free UPS return mailing label. The ceramic bowl isn't properly protected at the bottom of the box, which is a packing problem that the manufacturer might fix. Bravo to Amazon.com for its great customer service!

Aside from the tents, this is the best item I could have purchased for our camping excursions. My children teased me, asking, "Mom, what's wrong, you can't walk to the restroom at the campsite? '... No, I don't want to make the dark, through the trees, trek to the restrooms. Well, those doubters frequently used my "Queen's Throne," as I refer to it. The entire night as well. Okay folks, let me give you my review. I got this to replace my RV's 20-year-old toilet. There were a ton of DIY videos on YouTube that may aid you. Basically, a water line and two bolts. But it sounds so straightforward. No instructions specify what size hose should be used to replace the worn-out hose. In order to find the proper connector, I must return to Home Depot, but I'm still having trouble. Unlike my previous toilet, which attached at the bottom, this one connects at the top of the toilet. I need to figure out why my RV is not a 1/2" hose line. Regarding the toilet itself, I was initially concerned because some reviews claimed that it came with a gasket while others claimed that it did not. I also need to get in touch with the seller to find out why mine came with the gasket but not the spray kit even though the description claims that it does. The gasket was the worrying part. The toilet seems rather unstable when you place it back on the bathroom floor. I thought, "Holy poop, this is bad," but as soon as you start to turn the nuts down, the gasket will start to be smashed into place, giving you a flush and flat seal. So, a 4 for simplicity but a 1 for lack of directions, hose sizes, and the absence of the claimed hand sprayer

Arrived on Friday, April 20th, 2018, opened box with no damage. found that the seat's aperture was too narrow for a typical adult guy. Better seat opening for a small person or youngster. Additionally, the region under the seat is quite sharp and needs to be sanded ( could cut a pickle). There is a warning not to lean against the pretty fragile lid. Other than the aforementioned, it seems to be well-made. What are the expectations for $99. It was returned on 4/21/2018. I'll search for one with a bigger seat.

My first time using a porta john, and I'm glad I did! It prevented my wife from having to make numerous late-night excursions to the restroom when we were camping; she is halfway through her pregnancy. She claimed that this porta potty, which she had used twice, met the "Gold Standard" for porta potties.Notes: * It's conceivable that the folks who were frustrated didn't read the handbook completely based on other people's reviews. Your guide is a good friend!* It includes a meager amount of deodorant and waste digestion (enough for 4 full 5-gallon refills).* You can measure the waste dissolver liquid using the waste cap as a measuring cup. The "Automatic Flush" feature does not open the valve to let the waste flow into the holding tank; it just rinses out the tank.* Close seat, open waste valve, and press rinse button to urinate. If using option number 2, use the rinse button a few times to add a little water to the bowl, which will help prevent streaks from being left by the solids. Instead of doing it at home, suggest using a public restroom. This will lessen the possibility of splashback in the bathroom.Positives: * Everything is included in the box (Except water and toilet paper). Batteries, a measuring cup, deodorant and waste digesting liquid, and a toilet paper holder are included. One has a built-in toilet paper holder and works with Charmin "double" rolls but not "giant" rolls. The standard toilet height makes it feel like one is at home. Battery-operated water rinse function is very efficient and silent. ideal for people who are 5' or 6'3"Cons: * Unlike a standard toilet, a tall person's sitting posture is a little uncomfortable because they cannot bury their feet under the toilet. However, the height significantly lessens the awkwardness compared to smaller porta toilets. Given that the waste valve must still be manually opened, the "automatic flush" feature should actually be dubbed "automatic rinse."If you're willing to shell out some serious cash for the "gold standard" of porta potties, this toilet is great. Even if you have a house and the conventional toilet is uncomfortably placed on the opposite side of the house, your pregnant wife will love you if you go camping.I paid for this out of my own own; there were no discounts offered outside Prime Shipping and Amazon's reasonable prices.

I work all day in my grooming van as a mobile dog groomer. The addition of this porta potty changed everything; it has saved me time looking for public restrooms and given me comfort in being able to use it whenever I need to, without having to plan ahead. One annoying aspect is that the handle on the toilet that you pull out to access the bowl's liquid keeps coming off. The plastic clip that is holding it is inadequate. In order to utilize the pliers as a handle to pull it out, I typically have to maintain a multi tool close at hand. They have to redesign the component. The star for customer service has been updated. The business contacted me regarding the valve handle and provided me with a replacement without requiring me to clean and return the porta-potty or a refund. They informed me that my problem is exceptional, but because I chose to get a refund, I cannot testify for that. I'll keep using it just as it is and have a pair of pliers nearby in case I need to remove the rod's missing handle. When I can get it function, albeit with some inconvenience, I'm too aware of the plastics problem to throw this out in favor of a new device. It was so nice to get the reimbursement. So, ultimately a nice porta potty is good company.

Therefore, I was a little perplexed by the statistics mentioned in a few reviews as of June 2017. This should make things clearer:There are now four different toilets available: two 41541s (2.6 or 5.3 gallon models) and two 41545s (two sizes each) (2.6 or 5.3 gallons). The (Older Product) STANDARD (41541 model) and (Newer Product) PREMIUM (Not "Deluxe") are the names currently offered for them on Amazon (41545).Regarding features or brands, many companies with varying levels of manufacturing quality employ the same design as the STANDARD Camco. A battery-powered pump, a piston, and a bellows are all common features of portable restrooms. When using low-cost electric motors, there are more potential problems (particularly over a long period of time), and the edges of the bellows can wear out.Consider that if you get the 2.6 gallon, you'll be sitting on the toilet as it is only around 12.5" high. Several reviews mentioned the weight of the 5.3 gallon when full. The 5.3 gallon stands roughly 16.5" tall (so more like a normal toilet). I just need to remember to empty it more frequently now that I have the 5.3.Naturally, if you're purchasing for a child, don't mind crouching, or need to squeeze the toilet into a smaller storage area, go with the 2.6 gallon. An overview of remarks made on the use of portable toilets and cleaning them. It will be more difficult to empty if you use toilet paper and either use #! or #2. Consider putting the TP in a basket or trash can next to the toilet, just like in Mexico (where the plumbing isn't very reliable). Before your first usage, pour a little water to the bottom (black water) tank (if you want less scent), then add the gel pack or toilet solution. For a cleaner and fresher-smelling bowl, put a liquid deodorant in the top (fresh water) tank rather than a gel one because it won't clog the tank. After around three days, you'll need to replace the gel pack or deodorant in the black water tank.Consider placing a few pieces of TP in the shape of an X over the bottom of the bowl if you're going to do #2 and use it to help things slide down smoothly. Before flushing, close the lid. The easier it will be to clean out the toilet later, the less TP is in there. Because it will degrade more quickly, think about RV TP. Never use feminine hygiene products or hand wipes in the bathroom.Apply occasionally olive oil or anything like to the flush seal (not WD40 as it may break down the plastic seal). The STANDARD differs primarily in that it has a SINGLE spray rinse nozzle, a SQUARE form, a flush pull on the front, and (reportedly troublesome) latches on the sides.Portable toilet, 5.3 gallon, Camco 41541The Premium includes three spray rinse nozzles, a rounded front, and a flush pull on the side. It also has a spring-loaded clasp in the back that you pull to unlock before tipping forward to separate.Travel toilet, 5.3-gallon Camco 41545On our tent are two vestibules. We store it in the one in rear. When my wife doesn't want to hike a quarter-mile at night or when you don't want to deal with a cloud of mosquitoes in the public lavatory, it has been excellent.
If you need to replace your Thetford RV toilet, you may be wondering if you can replace it with a Dometic model. The answer is yes, you can replace a Thetford RV toilet with a Dometic model. The Dometic model will fit in the same space as the Thetford model and the connection will be the same. The Dometic model is a good choice if you need to replace your Thetford RV toilet.
Yes, you can use your RV toilet without water, but it will not be as effective and will require more frequent dumping. If you are using your RV toilet without water, be sure to add a deodorizer to your black water tank to help control odors.
RV toilet paper is specially designed to dissolve quickly and completely in order to prevent clogs in your camper's holding tank. While you can use regular toilet paper in a pinch, it's not recommended because it may not dissolve as quickly and could lead to a clog.
There are a few different types of RV toilets, but the most common are the cassette toilet and the gravity flush toilet. The cassette toilet is the type that has a holding tank that you need to empty periodically. The gravity flush toilet is the type that uses water from your fresh water tank to flush the toilet. You can usually tell which type of toilet you have by looking at the back of the toilet. If there is a holding tank, then you have a cassette toilet. If there is just a water line, then you have a gravity flush toilet.
To measure a RV toilet, you will need to first remove the seat and lid. Next, measure the length and width of the bowl at the widest points. The height of the bowl can be measured from the floor to the rim of the bowl.
Home Depot charges $99 to install a toilet. This price includes the cost of the toilet and the installation.
