Dometic's replacement is ideal. It's polar white on this grill. Most likely, your original artwork was ivory in color. Simple: remove the four Phillips screws holding the old piece in place; two are visible when the grill is removed, and the other two are concealed beneath plugs at the unit's back. With the point of a little screwdriver, pry these out and remove the screws. Remove the assembly, then wash it well with soap and water to get rid of any dust and debris that is present. Utilize a lint-free cloth to clean it. For plastic, Rustoleum enamel or high-quality spray paint both work well. Light coats at first, until it is completely covered. Avoid painting the movable louvers too much. Check your louvers to see whether they move after the paint has had time to dry and cure (a few hours in the sun). WHALAAA!! a classy white or (color of your choice)

For customers installing a completely new AC, this includes the metal insert. I only utilized the plastic bottom portion with the included screws. Since the AC is already installed, I didn't utilize any of the metal casing.We have a completely ducted Dometic air conditioner, and I wanted to replace or at least upgrade the return so that I could either shut it off and let the cool air simply flow through the ducts or dump it in the room.simple to install To access the return and cooling section on the roof side, just open the top piece of the AC and remove the cover.To drill a hole from the top down so you may use it as a reference from below, I would advise using a drill. Then, cut out the necessary piece in the same size as this plastic grill.To seal any gaps in the roofing area, foil tape can be required. then only secure this grill in position.It has made a notable improvement since I put it a couple of weeks ago.

Perfect is the 15k btu air conditioner. Due to a low branch event that required replacement of both air conditioners on top of our RV, I made the decision to remain with the brands I already owned. I have a lot of experience performing maintenance-type tasks for my profession, but I had never worked on an RV system before, so I wasn't sure how this would go.It turned out to be so simple to make that I think anyone could have done it. The most difficult aspect was placing it atop the RV. The rest of the time was easy.Since this item doesn't come with instructions, I did some research before getting started by reading several blogs and articles and watching some YouTube videos. The essential information you require to proceed in the same manner is outlined below.To begin with, the only equipment required is a Philips head screwdriver and a 3/8 "wrench or socket You could also need a flat head screwdriver, but because I completed two in one day, I didn't.Second, this item just includes the roof top unit and the gasket. I'm done now. As a result, if this is a new installation, you will also need the ceiling kit of your choosing and the electrical connection kit.Now I must return to my work. The filter/ceiling unit cover must first be removed with a screwdriver. The ceiling template (metal bracket holding everything in place) and the electrical connection box are visible once the cover has been removed. Before continuing, make sure the power is turned off. Ah, got it. Okay, the box has a white connector with six wires on the outside. To remove it, just squeeze the edges and pull up. At this point, the return side of the air conditioner (the filtered side) should have two black wires entering it. Reach up and carefully remove the freeze control sensor from the evaporator coils (looks like a radiator). Remember where you put it since you'll put it in the identical location on the next one.The 3/8 is needed for the following step "socket/ratchet. Along the outside corners of this metal frame, four bolts hold the unit in place. Remove them altogether by loosening them all up. The metal frame will now try to hang from every wire. Personally, I just let it dangle while lowering it gradually enough to avoid damaging anything.You may now climb the stairs and take the air conditioner out. It's probably been there for a while, so it might stick to the roof, but it's disconnected now. The a/c unit weighs 80–85 pounds, which isn't obscenely large but is awkward owing to its form and size and can result in a back injury.I'll assume for the time being that you have placed the new unit on the roof and relocated the old one out of the way. I would make sure to thoroughly clean the space the old unit was in before bringing the new unit into place. Additionally, avoid moving it about and sliding it too much to avoid damaging the gasket. To get the gasket in the proper place with a not a 1, try to move it as nearly as you can "By spotting the line of the old a/c gasket on the roof, I was able to peek underneath and get very close. Once you're satisfied, descend once again.The unit should be rather well centered when looking up into the hole. To ensure that the gasket will seal all around, you can actually reach up from this position and push or move it a little. The simple part is now, once you're comfortable with where it's been placed. Grab your 3/8" wrench and those four long bolts "Reinstall the ceiling template in the socket. They should be tightened to 40–50 inch pounds, according to the handbook (which I obtained online), and in a cross pattern (not ft pounds). This translates to 3–4 ft lbs, below which you probably don't have a torque wrench that will function. Simply put, it's not that tight. If you overtighten, you risk binding the unit and crushing your roof. When properly tightened, the 1" gasket will compress down to between 1/2 and 3/4 inches; if there are leaks, you can increase the tension a little, but if you overtighten, you won't be able to and will experience significant problems.Going forward Place the freeze control sensor on the new unit's coils once the air conditioner has been adjusted to the proper tightness. Then, reach inside the new unit, remove the power plug, and plug it into the electrical box.I would now restart the electricity to the unit and test it. Simply reconnect the ceiling unit/filter housing and unwind if you turn it on and everything sounds okay. Say "well done" to yourself after a job well done!

These represent a significant improvement over the non-closable ones that come standard in an RV. I would have given them five stars, however to open or close it, you had to spin the entire device. When you do that, the heat is now being blown in a different direction. As a result, if you want it to blow to the right, you may need to spin it in that way three or four times while opening and closing the vent. Otherwise, the air will be blowing in the wrong direction. It would be convenient if the air flow could continue in the direction you intended while opening the vent. (so that it enters the room from above rather than under my bed) overall GR8 improvement
