Dorman 49447 Windshield Wiper Linkage Bushing Assortment, 10 Piece Review:

Since I originally bought my XJ in 2003, the wiper on the passenger side has frequently collided with the vehicle's body. All day, it's "Tak, Tak, Tak." I would continually hear that unpleasant sound since Hilo, Hawaii, is the rainiest city in the United States. The wiper removed paint, sliced through the plastic panel, etc. I spent years attempting to figure out how to fix it. I tried readjusting the wiper arm and purchased a brand-new linkage from a junkyard (but I couldn't install it because the motor wasn't working). Although it was a widespread issue, I was unable to resolve it. I finally figured out how to fix it in 2011, so I got this kit. This kit also includes additional bushings for other automobiles, so you will have extras. The linkage removal and reinstallation took about 20 minutes, but it only took 5 minutes to replace the bushings, and I no longer hear the unpleasant sound. Yippee!!!

ACDelco 19120737 GM Original Equipment Windshield Wiper Motor Transmission (Linkage) Review:

2011 - I got this for my 2007 Chevy Impala to replace the original equipment. This was simple to install and functioned as it should have. When the wipers became iced up, the plastic bushing in the original component broke. I wish I could have located the bushing, but apparently they don't. I bought it, and it works just well. Just so you know, the Chevy dealership wanted to charge me $175 for this part alone, not counting labor. I visited three well-known auto parts retailers in my neighborhood (Wisconsin), and they all advised me to visit the dealership to find this item. Installing it is simple, and it costs $75 as opposed to $100 for the dealer's. You'll save money by doing it yourself, so I advise it.NEWS - January 30, 2014What's this? Stupid thing did it again. Chevy should definitely recall this dreadful design, in my opinion. I'm currently going to get another one.

SAAB 9-3 93 WINDSCREEN Wiper Motor Linkage Link Repair Clip Kit Strong Review:

I had no trouble with any of these. The removal of the plastic from the arm aperture where you are fixing it is, in my opinion, the most crucial step in the installation process. Once I did that, it quickly snapped on and has been sturdy all winter. The finest solution I've yet seen, excepting the pricey suggestion of purchasing new arms.

ACDelco 22711011 GM Original Equipment Windshield Wiper Motor and Transmission (Linkage) Review:

My 2009 Saturn Aura's wiper assembly, or more precisely the white plastic bushing holding the wiper motor to the windshield linkage, finally broke up and died after nine years and 240K miles of seasonal New England weather. The $8 replacement Dorman bushing kit was a possibility, but since Dorman replacement parts can occasionally malfunction, the decision was made to purchase the entire wiper transmission. Assembly was simple and took no more than 30 minutes in total. It did require portion of the cowling to be removed above where the motor was installed. One problem I did encounter was that when I turned on the wipers, they first slid down about 2 inches before coming up. This was after installing the motor and reassembling everything. It was necessary to disassemble everything once more in order to rotate the short linkage that was connected to the motor and remove the nut holding it in place so that the wipers would always advance to the up position when turned on. Everything was completed successfully. Just a quick reminder: you need to lightly hammer the new bushing onto the short motor linkage. I initially believed I could simply press the metal ball into the new bushing, but I soon realized it was not completely seated. The ball was firmly seated into the bushing socket after being lightly tapped into place with a tiny hammer.

APDTY 713229 Windshield Wiper Transmission Linkage Assembly For 2005-2011 Dodge Ram 1500 2500 3500 Pickup (Replaces Mopar 55077098AL, 55077098AD, 55077098AE, 55077098AF, 55077098AA, 55077098AB) Review:

I was perplexed when I received my part after seeing all the negative reviews. The majority of the unfavorable reviews must have done one of the three possible mistakes. Prior to replacing a part, never check the part number. Second, install the provided component in the incorrect arm direction and backwards (this assembly mounts in three different ways). be cautious when installing it) The third criticism is that they didn't investigate their part number.Let me tell you, I installed this in my 2005 Dodge Ram 1500 Kingcab 5.7 HEMI. I initially believed that this review would be unfavorable. WRONG ! . The mounting notches face up because I initially fitted it wrong, and the windshield wipers stand up straight and in the middle. After I removed the old component and reset it, I found that my motor was not in park. Checked the position of the wiper notches by rotating the component. For the proper mounting, they must face up between 10 and 11 o'clock. Don't bend. No trimming or other alterations are necessary. As usual, Amazon provided quick delivery, and this component is actually exactly the same as the doorman version and around $40 less expensive. Hope that was helpful. Happy day to all of you.

Dorman 49449 Windshield Wiper Linkage Bushing, Pack of 2 Review:

I was hopeful these would work because there was obvious play in the linkage on my 1998 Legacy Outback after reading several reviews that mentioned how well they worked on various Subarus. When the wipers and cowl cover were removed, I went to remove the motor and discovered a damaged bushing connecting the motor to the passenger link. As a total of four of these are required if the set is to be replaced, I ordered two packages of these. Again, I just figured it was worth an attempt because many have managed to make this set work. I discovered that they do not work for this year make model Subaru and the internet catalog states as such. The real kicker is this phoning Subaru Heuburger On my first call, the parts guy informed me that the pivot—the piece that protrudes through the cowl and is attached to by the wiper arm—must be purchased in order to get the bushings. $56 per side, minimum of two. Subaru normally seems more "friendly" about disassembling minor parts into their component parts, thus that did not sound like them. Looking online, I discovered that the parts salesman had been mistaken; Subaru sells the link with bushings for roughly $12 each, with a minimum purchase of two. It's a good deal because you receive two links (one from motor to first pivot, then another fo ther first pivot to second) incredible time saver Wish the Dorman equipment had worked, but comparing the time it takes to press bushings in and out to the time it takes to pop in new rods, the choice is obvious. Again, this is not Dorman's or Amazon's fault; I was merely criticizing what previous reviewers had said. However, the ball that presses into the bushing at the pivots and motor pops out far too quickly. If you can get the guy in the Subaru parts department to find the right components, go that route. The Dorman bushings do press into the links if you warm them in hot water (careful!).
