I set up the 2.5 "My 2012 Ram 4X4 1500 has a front leveling raise kit. (1). The kit was delivered on schedule and undamaged. (2). For each side, I installed the kit in around two hours. YouTube videos to watch (3). my truck about three "in the front and appears AMAZING (4). NOTE: Before making a purchase, I measured the distance from the front and back wheel wells to the ground. The size of the rear wheel well was 3 "superior to the front. Before inserting the spacers, I measured their thickness and found that it was 1.5 ". I always carefully and analytically read every review before deciding whether or not to purchase a product. I wrote this review with guys like me in mind. I purchased a 2.5" Motofab lift for my 2011 Silverado. In three days, it was at my door. The directions were adequate, and the installation was quite simple (with the exception of a few typos, but you get the idea). To help with the installation, I watched the following video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O0mgfiTs0dw. The only step you need to perform differently from the video is to fasten the strut's bottom to the lower control arm first, and only then should you shove the strut into the strut bucket and force the studs through the holes (this requires sticking your a** into it). In the directions, it is stated. My strut studs didn't protrude past the leveling kit's surface, thus I didn't need to grind them down. Despite having a mild mechanical aptitude, I have never touched a Silverado front end before. Going very slowly, it took me an hour to complete the first side, and 25 minutes to do the other. As you reassemble the ball joint, be aware that your wrench or ratchet may cause the rod to begin spinning. I attached the bolt to the rod using a ratchet until the rod began to spin with the ratchet. I then secured the rod in place with a set of vice grips at the bottom of the rod, where there is no threading, and tightened the bolt the remaining distance with a wrench. Excellent stuff; it LEVELED MY TRUCK PERFECTLY. I really do mean perfect when I say it. The distance between the ground and the wheel wells in the front and back is exactly the same.

These spacers have no welds and are made of solid metal. They appear good (not like it really matters after install). Just so you know, installing these is not simple, but it is not the kits' fault. Either the strut studs must be removed or the lower control arm must be loosened. It should not be necessary to loosen the control arm if you can remove the studs. You will need to loosen the lower control arm if, as in my situation, you are unable to remove the studs. The control arm needed to be loosened, then the strut studs needed to be inserted into the control arm. Put the top of the strut into the mount by pressing down with your foot on the arm.Additionally, I advise removing the brakes, knuckles, and rotors. This makes it easier for you to move the items around.YOU'LL NEED TO ALIGN! This size level kit will require one. Your tires will point in because raising the front shortens the reach of the tire rods. Furthermore, your camber will likely be off if you loosen the control arms.Other parts shouldn't need replacing, however I'd strongly advise getting aftermarket upper control arms at some time to adjust the angle of those. On my 17 Sierra Crew over the weekend, I fitted this package. First off, did you actually "read" the directions before complaining in your reviews that the bolts are too long? The instructions very clearly state to place the bolts through the "TOP," with nuts on the bottom? (I believe there is even a photo!) Furthermore, the bolts are flawless, and assembling the kit is a breeze. Reading a bad review from someone who obviously didn't read and/or follow the directions makes you so angry.Regarding the installation, it went extremely well; both sides were completed in under an hour together, and I was working alone. I should point out that I did not unhook the power steering connector or remove the skid plate as instructed by the directions (I know.... I just scolded some folks for not following the directions - LOL). Anyway, I didn't do it because I couldn't locate any places where it was required.I did nothing more than loosen the two lower strut bolts, the two upper strut nuts, and the sway bar end link bolt as much as I could while leaving the nut on. The upper control arm ball joint nut was then loosened, and it was broken free by tapping on it. The front suspension was supported by a floor jack while I unbolted the upper ball joint nut and lowered the suspension to separate it from the upper control arm ball joint. As a result, I was able to "roll" the rotor assembly to the right just far enough to allow the front drive shaft to slide out of the way and allow me to insert the new lower strut bolts. I then put everything back together by going backwards from the above and installing the spacers with nuts on the bottom as directed. Simple as pie!truck's front height was raised by 2 1/8 "and I'm thrilled with the outcome. Moreover, the earth is now exactly horizontal with respect to my manufacturing stairs. 13 "front and back, starting at the bottom of the stair. Observation: If you choose anything other than 2, "Your steps will sit higher in the front than the back if you use spacers without a lift in the back. Personally, I don't like that look, therefore this 2 "Kit fits me like a glove. Good fortune. I have no issues. Great product!

I'm rather pleased, in fact.I didn't want to spend the money on hiring pros to repair it because I love my 2015 GMC Sierra Crew Cab too much to make a mistake, but I figured what the heck, it's 100% bolt on and only requires a 15mm wrench, a crescent wrench, and two sockets (18mm and 15mm). Let's move on.First of all, the kit includes 4 bolts, 8 washers, 4 nuts, 2 billet aluminum spacers, and instructions.FOR EASIER INSTALLATION, A TIP. The "2010 Rough Country Leveling Kit Install" youtube video was exactly what I did! However, there was a great deal of strain when attempting to pry the strut up, and it just felt like someone was going to get harmed. Nothing felt right. After spending about an hour trying to watch every moving component while asking questions and trying to observe both what is happening and "what needs to happen".. FINALLY WE SPOTTED THE PROBLEM... we noticed one crucial step missing in the video instructions that would make the install go from 1.5 hours to 20 minutes tops GUARANTEED, WHICH IS JUST OUR OPINION. But if you managed to obtain it by viewing the video in this article and using the suggested procedures, you are probably reading this because you broke or messed up something and are looking for a simpler solution.They mentioned loosening and leaving the sway bar bolt unfastened in the video. To pull the strut sufficiently far from the lower control arm so that the spacer could be inserted securely proved to be humanly impossible for us. The top nut was simply unscrewed, and the bolt was left in place while the top nut was totally removed from the sway bar. allowing you to move the strut up and down with MUCH MORE space. The strut was then simply lifted away from the control arm, the spacer was put in place, and the holes for the bolts were aligned by moving the pry bar back and forth. We raised the lower control arm using a tiny hydraulic vertical jack so that the sway bar bolt could stick out enough to snag on the nut.You'll also require a 7/32 allen key to prevent the ball joint from rotating while you tighten the control arm nut. FYI: We spent 12 minutes on the opposing side, timed. Please remove the torpedo nut entirely from the sway bar. Now that we're done and can see the wider picture of what we had to do, I rate this installation as being very, very simple—probably a 2 or 3 on a difficulty scale of 10.Although I rarely comment anywhere, I thought my opinion would help someone save an hour of daylight. MotoFab Lifts CH-3F-2R 3 in Front and 2 in Rear Leveling lift kit that is compatible with 2007-2018 Chevy Silverado Sierra GMC Review:


I wanted to install a small raise package without going overboard on my 2009 K1500 Silverado. Even while massive lift kits look amazing when done properly, they are a rather involved project that calls for more significant frame and suspension adjustments. Let's also not forget about the greater cost for most larger lift kits.In order to fit the tires I bought, I needed a great raise that was higher than a simple "level kit" with little spacers between the lower control arms and front shocks. In addition to this package, I also purchased Ultra Predator II 18 x 9 inch wheels through my Amazon account at the same time as the Falken Wildpeak A/T3W LT275/70R18 tires that I wanted on the truck (33.5 x 11.00R18). I didn't want any alterations made to my GM-molded mud flaps or front air dam. The effectiveness of this kit much beyond my expectations!As an ex-automotive technician, let me mention right away that I was aware of what I was getting myself into before beginning this endeavor. Even though I've done it before, this was my first attempt at the challenge of installing a little lift kit, so I did some study using forums and videos on YouTube, especially since I'd read other people's complaints that the directions offered weren't the best.The installation is quite self-explanatory, but if you choose the MotoFab kit—which elevates the front by 3 inches and the rear by 2 inches—you'll need to take out the front sway bar links and unplug the upper ball joints from the steering knuckles. It would be impossible to use the cheat method with this kit by only removing the links and upper ball joint studs. The upper ball joint must be reconnected to the steering knuckle once the front shock spacers are inserted, which requires cutting off the upper control arm bump-stops after everything has been disconnected and the front spring/shock assemblies have been removed. With the smaller kits that are also available through MotoFab and Amazon, this is definitely not essential. The small adjustment is not difficult to complete, and I discovered that cutting them off with a die-cut-off grinder's wheel gets the job done fast and effectively. After removing the bump-stops, I used a grinder to smooth off any sharp edges before using a little undercoating spray to prevent corrosion in the exposed regions. The upper control arms can travel down far enough to start the stud nut and ball joint stud through the steering knuckle with the bump-stops removed and the front shocks with the new gaps in place. All that is left to do is complete the front end's reassembly.Installing the replacement lift blocks in place of the factory ones for the rear blocks was simple; just make sure you work on one side at a time to avoid alignment concerns during reassembly.The entire project took me around 4 hours to complete, but it may take you longer or shorter depending on your mechanical expertise and the tools and equipment you have on hand to complete the task. Having a second pair of hands is beneficial, especially when reattaching the front upper control arms to the steering knuckles.After installing the kit, the car will need to be realigned. If you plan to equip your truck with aftermarket wheels or tires, you should do so after the car has been realigned. Many aftermarket wheels lack recessed rim lips or don't allow alignment machine heads to be mounted easily onto the outer rim edges, which may make it challenging to align and/or damage your new wheels. Since I was aware of this beforehand, I put my new wheels on after aligning the truck with its stock rims and tires.The truck looked fantastic once everything was completed and properly aligned, and it drove without incident. With no bumpy or harsh feeling when driving over uneven terrain, I believe the ride feels much better than it did before the upgrade was fitted.You can see the difference this kit and the new wheels/tires made by comparing the before and after photos of the vehicle that are attached.When compared to similar kits from other vendors, the quality of this kit is excellent (with an A that it is American Made!!!) and the price is a steal at $125.00!Anyone wishing to give their truck a fresh look should definitely check out this kit and company, in my opinion.



Rough Country 52200 Leveling Kit Front 2"/Spacer fits 2009-2019 F150 / 17-18 Raptor Suspension System Heavy Duty No Rust Review:


purchased a 2015 F150 4x4 recently. After years of owning various four wheel drives, I wasn't pleased with how low my new vehicle sat, particularly in the front end. It appeared to have two wheels!My brother, who used to work as a mechanic at an off-road business, claimed he has "installed several RC kits over the years and they've been around for a long time," which helped me make up my mind after reviewing numerous lift kits.The kit itself is rather simple; you get the same high-quality parts as are shown in the picture. I was a little worried about the spacers being plastic, but they are only spacers and only experience compression forces, not pulling forces. With two men working on the project and a little nephew acting as a shop squirrel, the kit was installed in roughly four hours. We took our time to make sure everything worked without a hitch because mechanical things frequently go wrong.One instruction that was a little ambiguous was the one regarding the struts' orientation after the spacers were installed. Once the spacers are put in place, the struts are reinstalled with the side that was originally facing out now facing in because the triangle-shaped bolt pattern is reversed after the spacers are put in place. Additionally, remember to reposition the bottom yolk on the strut BEFORE reinstalling the strut to avoid having to remove it and perform the task on the bench. (This ensures that the bolt plate properly aligns with the lower control arm mount region.)Some people claim that installing this kit in the driveway with jacks takes around four hours, however after utilizing my brother's hoist, I wouldn't have dared to try. Before doing it that way, I would pay to have it installed. In other words, I strongly advise using a hoist if you have access to one.I've included chronological before-and-after pictures. The 33" all-terrain tires are shown in the final image.All in all, a fantastic, affordable kit that gave my truck a "normal" 4x4 sitting position!



Daystar, Ford F250/350 Polyurethane Body Mounts, fits 1999 to 2017 2/4WD, KF04050BK, Made in America Review:


On a 1999 Ford F-350 Super Duty Crew Cab 4x4, I mounted these.Daystar certifies that it is OK that the shoulder on the mounts does not precisely (tightly) fit the hole in the frame rail.I had a truck issue that took me several months to resolve. When making left turns at a faster speed, I would experience a vibration that I initially attributed to a revolving wheel bearing, rotor, or other object. I discovered the down pipe from the turbo was making contact with the firewall on hard left turns after a thorough inspection. Even though there was plenty of room when the truck was at rest, the main issue was excessive body roll.I changed each of the eight mounts one side at a time. As the originals are pressed in from the factory, it can be exceedingly challenging to separate the bottom from the higher mount on some vintage mounts. There are a few methods for getting rid of the older, resistant mounts. After removing the mount bolt, first spray some penetrating oil (I use Kroil) from the top of the mount. Create a pulling device and take out the lower portion, or get a 12mm sacrificial bolt and thread it in from the top, then whack it with a hammer to force out the lower mount. I employed both of these methods, but the very stuck mounts could only be driven out from the top with a heavy hammer. We don't live in the rust belt, but I was able to reuse all of my steel hardware that I already had. It might not be possible to reuse your existing hardware if your frame is heavily rusted.It takes some time to reach the front radiator support core mounts. Since the lower part of the mount is actually inside the frame rail, I had to remove the front bumper. The fronts weren't too awful after the bumper was taken off.I became aware of how much the old mounts were sagging once I had all of them replaced. Compared to how high it was with the old mounts, the vehicle body has risen by roughly 3/4 of an inch. I must now correct the bumper to account for the elevation shift in the body. These mounts resolved my issue, as demonstrated by a test drive. These mounts, in my opinion, transmit slightly more noise and vibration from the frame to the cab, but they also significantly reduce body roll, provide the impression that the cab is securely fastened to the frame, and cause very little back and forth motion when the vehicle encounters bumps.According to the directions, I put the mounts dry, and I haven't noticed any squeaking or other issues.It took me around 10 hours to install, but during that time I also fully removed the interior and carpet and put in soundproofing. I would have needed 4-6 hours to complete the task if I had simply lifted the carpet sufficiently to replace the mounts. The second side takes around half as long as the first side once you've mastered all the skills. A good floor jack and a 4 by 4 work nicely to lift the body up a few inches so that the old upper mounts can be removed and the new ones installed.Overall, this was a rather large job that wasn't particularly challenging. These mounts appear to be the only non-OEM alternative for my truck, and they solved my issue. I'm happy to have had them replaced for a lot less money (about $300) than I would have had to pay for the OEM ones.
