Every instance of Hawk LTS pad issues I've heard about involved cases where the bedding process was either completely skipped, only partially completed due to trying to do it at a time and on a road where traffic wouldn't permit it, or postponed until after the brakes had been applied (which did, in fact, bed the pads incorrectly)! The procedure is necessary for a reason—the material needs to achieve those high temperatures to condition the pad to function properly as well as to mate to the rotor. To get the maximum performance and life out of them, even conventional passenger car brakes should be beded; it's just an easier procedure.For the purpose for which they are intended, brakes are not something to skimp on, and these are definitely worth the price!
