Since Amazon doesn't currently have any inventory of this item, I decided to buy my directly from iFixit. I absolutely adore their 54 bit kit, but I didn't care for the aluminum driver with rubber o-rings; working with a slick driver can be a little laborious with large hands. The revised driver, the case, the positioning of the bits, and the expanded selection of bits make this new 64 bit kit far superior to the prior one. While observing some minor alterations in one area, read on for more information.I must say that I adore the new packaging, which made me feel as though I were unwrapping a brand-new cell phone. I will undoubtedly store this box aside. Additionally, their brand-new aluminum driver includes knurling near the tip for improved traction for tightening and loosening those difficult-to-turn-but-delicate-screws. I adore the driver's three-sided profile towards the midsection, which also serves as an anti-roll feature and gives you a firm grip on the driver. It makes me think of the gray body, red spinning end cap, Home Depot Husky 8-in-1 screwdriver model #74501, which is such a shame they discontinued. Okay, let's go back to this review. To top it all off, the new iFixit driver's rotating end cap is mounted on a ball bearing, giving you even more control when tightening screws.I'm sorry iFixit, but I'm being honest, and I realize you guys had to keep costs down. The next thing they did with this case made the nerd in me geek out since they thought of everything when building it. It is no longer the flimsy plastic dollar store material the 54 bit kit come in. Hardcore geeks, however, desire an attractive product as well!). To begin with, the lid is now magnetically fastened to the case's bottom. I then pondered whether magnets might cause the lid to come off if accidentally jarred. No, a tiny lip was added to the interior of the case to prevent that from happening. So I thought, "Okay, iFixit, you guys have my attention." I was impressed that they paid that much attention to detail. Particularly if magnets lose contact; especially with something so tiny as the additional lip to keep the lid from falling off. As a result, when you open the case, the lid has a grid-like design on the inside that doubles as a screw/parts tray. If that's not your style, though, you can also attach the lid to the case's bottom using...guess what! extra magnets So now, everything has a function!Like how their Macro Bit kit is set up, I also like how the bits are now shown. The rubber insert you're seeking for will no longer have five other parts attached to it. Now, for a much neater and more polished appearance, the bit type and its size are embossed into EVA foam. By using EVA foam instead of rubber inserts, they essentially have a blank canvas to work with, assign bits to their allocated spots, and do not have to deal with the limitations and extra material caused by using the rubber inserts that the 54 bit kit utilized. I also think going this route allowed the 64 bit kit and overall 2016 pro tech tool kit to be much shorter than its predecessor.Finally, the bits' quality is exactly what you would expect from iFixit; they are constructed of 6150 tool steel, have perfectly centered holes for security, have a superb finish, and are durable. I've had excellent results using Craftsman hand tools throughout the years. The lifespan of my previous pair of Craftsman screwdrivers was almost 30 years. To be honest, they probably still look great. (Watch who you lend your tools to!) This set should last at least as long, in my opinion.The set has a good variety of flat head and phillips sizes, and the package arrived on time. This is the reason I docked one star: In my set, the snub nose phillips is skewed in relation to the handle. Even though it's only a few degrees, there is a difference. I would prefer that the screwdriver's core not wiggle while in use and that the head rest flush against the screw. I'll get in touch with the vendor to ask if this specific item can be changed. Each of the other shafts was parallel to its handle. Even though I'm confident this set is an exceptional instance, I can still suggest it and, if I had to order it again, I would do so.Will provide updates on any new information.Update: I exchanged my crooked screwdriver for a straight one at my neighborhood Sears. no issues

My first star rating of three. ( "These are extremely good screwdrivers, however most of them are too little to be used, and I have only been able to use a few of them. The bigger computers work well for me to disassemble and salvage whatever I can. To distinguish between the different heads, it would be beneficial if they were color-coded. On my bench, they all appear the same from a distance. The handle end that swivels is nice ")These screwdrivers are wonderful, as I said before, and I've been using them. More compact than I anticipated, yet still useful when I need anything so little. They work great for little screws, but I was hoping for ones with a larger range of applications. Customer support was really friendly and helpful when I contacted them, and they promised to refund my purchase. So, in the interest of full disclosure, I have changed my somewhat severe 3 rating to a 5, given that the screwdrivers are beautiful and well-made, and because customer support offered to refund my order. This is somewhat my fault for not reading the description thoroughly. They were quite kind to do that.

One of my knives required a pocket clip to be removed, and I had to disassemble another knife to clean and restore it. Since my neighbor had been "borrowing" my knife tool for eight months and counting, and he was out of town, I went to Ace Hardware to get a screwdriver set that had the right sized bits for the job. That was the first error... The bit and all of its duplicates were constructed from a "metal" that was so frail that food needed be wrapped in sheets of it. I went to Amazon, my preferred hardware retailer, after giving the set to the "friendly hardware person" who had recommended it to me. Sadly, I didn't read the reviews before purchasing the set I was drawn to (it was shiny and neon green, so it captured me in my full-on ADHD mode) and that it SAID the bits were made of hardened steel. That was error number two... The bit shattered during the first two twists of trying to remove two tiny T-6 screws in such a way that I literally laughed out loud. Normally in these circumstances I completely lose it, but because I was exhausted and operating on autopilot, I thought it humorous that TWO SETS IN A ROW couldn't remove this little screw and failed to execute the one thing it was designed to do, failing even to self-destruct while attempting! Instead of making a third error and losing, I read the descriptions and reviews of numerous "precision screwdriver sets" that I wouldn't have to borrow money to buy, and this one had everything I was looking for: real hardened steel (this set actually explained the hardening process!)

I don't often leave reviews on Amazon, but after using this screwdriver for a few weeks, I felt obligated to poke fun at the manufacturer. This set is by far the greatest I've ever owned, and it was crucial for my recent home move. Every screwdriver bit I could imagine is included in this collection, along with several I've never seen before. I frequently find the primary driver's elbow bend to be useful, and although I keep waiting for an opportunity to use the flexible cable tip, I haven't yet done so. The case is robust, and unlike many other sets I've owned, the pieces don't move about inside it. When you spin it, the smooth, granular ratcheting motion makes a satisfying rapid fire click. The case is quite brilliant; it's considerably brighter than it appears in these photographs; I'd even say it's fluorescent orange. That's good since it makes it virtually hard to lose. I'll likely soon purchase another of them for my father. Highly suggested.

The first thing to note is that these drivers are incredibly comfortable in the hand. all of my hands. that hurt and have arthritis. They maintain their security with a strong, positive grasp. The top that revolves is sturdy. Although it rotates easily, it doesn't spin out of your hand. The only major problem for me with the heads is that they tend to be softer than some of the screws I work with every day, which can result in chipping and finally a damaged tool. The heads fit very perfectly in all the applications I use them for (I service professional drones). Naturally, breaking the screws the opposite way would also be a problem, and at this price point, there aren't many better options. However, if you use them professionally, it can be annoying to break one and have to stop using them until you can acquire a replacement. I believe these will be fantastic if you use them frequently but not constantly. They'll be ideal if you only require anything similar seldom. However, you might be better off investing a little more money on a set of professional grade if you want to test them thoroughly.
