I bought these to replace the third light bulbs in my 2005 F150's interior cab. Wow is all I have to say. Compared to standard incandescent bulbs, these lights are absurdly bright. The cab lights, after all, have always been eeeh. Now, when these bulbs turn on, it looks like a scene from a movie where alien lights are falling from the sky and lighting up my truck as if I were on stage. purchasers beware! You might decide to change all the bulbs in your car as a result of buying these bulbs.

It is still too early to give these replacement bulbs a true rating. They have a wider diameter than their incandescent equivalents, which would make installation in most fixtures unfeasible, according to what I discovered. Since the LED replacements are not completely enclosed and can be installed into the lamp holder from the front side, installing them in the truck bed fixture on my 19 RAM was not too difficult.As this is the maximum life I have experienced with two other LED replacements, I reserve the right to revise my evaluation after using them for three to four months or more. (These replacements used thin, open LEDs) For the time being, the lamps have operated without a hitch for a month, which is longer than one of the earlier lamps I tried. They are also intelligent. Updating to come.

On my 2004 Ford F-150, I installed JDM 3157 LED bulbs in the front and back. One rear bulb can be used for the tail, turn, and braking. I advise installing red rear LEDs to prevent pink washout. The JDMs look amazing and are greatly upgraded, but the turn signals will flash excessively. Buy a "LED specialized flasher" instead of resistors to fix the issue. The turn signals are now blinking normally again after I purchased a "Novita EP27 flasher" from Amazon. The flasher was simple to put on both the bulb and the flash can. Simply switch on your signals while using your old bulbs, crouch down by your brake pedal, and gaze up. The flasher will be audible and visible. Ensure that you purchase the orange 3157 for the front turn signals. It appears to be 3157NA. In the F-150's clear reflector housing, they look pretty great. Many cars have bulb warning systems that are triggered by the lack of current that an LED bulb draws, hyper flash, lack of space for larger bulbs, additional connections and failure points with resistors, and just the sheer complexity of an LED compared to an old-fashioned incandescent bulb, making LED upgrades challenging and frustrating. However, if you have an F-150 from 2004 to 2008, go for it. Everything is plug and play, and there are no problems other than a simple solution for the hyperflash using an LED flash can.

These were purchased for my wife's 2012 Honda Odyssey because the rear brake light on that vehicle had burned out. Additionally, I purchased replacements for the red running lights and the high mount stop light. These do a terrific job! They stand out thanks to the strobe effect and are MUCH brighter than the default halogen lamps. We can only hope that it will deter tailgaters.The bulbs were plug-and-play and didn't require any additional resistors or throw any codes or canbus issues. I've just recently installed these, so I can't speak to their durability. However, the functionality and initial build quality are excellent.The main drawback is that the running light (low power mode) is brighter than stock, making the distinction between the brightness of the brake light less obvious (full brightness). The strobe effect, though, gets around it.In addition, the LED high mount brake light I added is brighter.I'm currently buying the white backup lights and amber rear turn signal bulbs from ALLA because I enjoy them so much. The headlights, front signals, running lights, and parking lights will likely all be upgraded. To save me the trouble of having to locate each size separately, I only wish they had a one-click upgrade pack for the Odyssey. These lights were actually quite excellent I replaced every single light bulb on my 06 torrent with this brand of LED bulb yeah it was a little spendy but the looks at night you just can't beat it I did have a little bit of problem installing the turn signal bulb but come to find out it was my own fault not the fault of the balm I had two blown fuses I found one fuse blown but I was unaware that I had two out. After I found out what my problem was the installation was really a snap plus I got to give kudos to customer service I even had a technician who gave me a return call back 3 days later after the weekend so top-notch guys

To be able to tack and untack my horse in the dark and without draining the battery of my truck, I installed two of them on and inside my horse trailer. I wasn't sure if they would adequately brighten their surrounds until a few days ago, but now that I've returned from a protracted camping vacation with my horse, here are my current thoughts: In any case, I've bought two more of these bulbs for my trailer's cargo (horse) area.Brightness is meaningless; even tiny LED bulbs can be considered bright. The amount of light a lamp emits (in candle power or lumens) and how well it lights the target area are what matter most. I can now confidently state that these lamps provided illumination at a level of, let's say, 50 candle power, or even better. The color is nearly "daylight" without any of the disagreeable blue, so when combined with the several candles the lights produced, every feature was well lighted. However, for mounting and grooming my horse by the outside light and navigating my tack compartment with the inside light, the colors were true and everything stood out in beautiful detail. I think I'd prefer a "warm white" light in a living compartment. In other words, the lamps' color output and candle power enhanced my vision.The second factor to take into account when choosing lamps is how many amps they will need. I can leave the lights on for a lot longer while the truck's engine isn't running because these lamps use a tiny fraction of the amps that the old incandescent bulbs used.Last but not least, and possibly most importantly, how durable are the lighting and will they withstand the strain and vibrations of the road? Although the verdict is still out on this, I will still take my old bulbs just in case. However, after 600 miles of occasionally dirt roads, things are looking up.One thing to keep in mind is that the LED components are exposed on the outside of the lamps and are vulnerable to damage if pressed or turned violently. Because they are not covered in a glass bulb, most likely for cooling reasons (running cool can lengthen their life), install them carefully. They have so far more than merited the five stars.

These largely perform as promised, and the flashing is unmistakable.Several critics:1. Due of their height, I was unable to install them where I had originally planned—at the third stop signal. In the end, I decided to mount them in the corners of the brake light placements.2. Although there isn't much of a difference between the stop and marker levels, they are rather bright when they are on. When they turn on, they flash, making it visible, but when you let go of the pedal, there isn't much of a shift, which I suppose isn't quite as significant.3. They are fairly delicate. The base is surface mounted soldered with the LED stack attached. While I was installing it, I unintentionally bumped it a little too hard (but not too hard), which caused the LED stack to come loose from the base. I attempted to resolder it, but when I did, it tore the circuit board's *tiny* pad off, leaving me with nothing to attach it to. Making the solder pads slightly larger would not be difficult and would result in a stronger bond. (I might apply a bead of epoxy around the base of the LED stack to add extra stability without significantly affecting the thermals. I believe that some of the failures are caused by the LEDs losing their connection as a result of the shaking they experience after being put in the vehicle.)

I've installed LED lighting in numerous automobile applications in the past. The majority have some sort of performance problem. The regular incandescent and the previously fitted LED tail light are significantly outperformed by this iBrightstar 1157 "Red" type. This is due to a good design and high-quality parts, in my opinion. A large number of well positioned LED chips are seen on the device's end. The remaining ones are evenly distributed over the bulb's whole circumference, from base to tip. As a result, there are no black spots anywhere on the lamp reflector and the radiated light is uniformly dispersed throughout. This lighting is exceptionally bright in the typical, lights-on running mode, and when the brakes are applied, the illumination increases substantially, unlike other LED two stage auto lamps I've tried.

The high mounted brake light on my 2002 Camry went out recently, I noticed. I used the internet to research the right bulb.The same item cost $2 extra at my neighborhood auto parts store. Then Amazon informed me that it offered the same free shipping for $2 cheaper. In 4 business days, I received. Delivery was supposed to happen in three days, but it took four. No huge deal.The moment I received it, I popped the cover open. Due to its rigidity, I give it a little tap with a hammer. Once it has been popped off, lift it up and flip it over to get rid of the wire connector. By turning the bulb 45 degrees in my direction, I can remove it with ease. After removing the bulb assembly from the housing, you can see a notch. Once that was removed, you could easily pull the old bulb off. I haven't had to change the bulb in 16 years, but I do now. The old bulb begins to swell a little, signaling that it needs to be replaced. It was a loose connection the last time my headlamp failed to turn on.To prevent any oil from my hands getting on the bulb, I need to open the package and remove the bulb using a paper towel. The bulb shouldn't be touched, as the internet advises, because the oil will reduce its lifespan. Position the bulb directly in place, then swap out the assembly, connect the power, and swap out the housing. Time for the test.Immediately behind the housing, I lay a box on top of the trunk (outside of course). When you press the brake, it turns on.Another task is finished.

Pictures at the top and bottom use regular halogen bulbs and brightstar LED bulbs, respectively.As you can undoubtedly observe, even during the day, the LEDs have a significant impact. The lights are more brighter and seem to be of much higher quality than some other, less expensive ones I've previously purchased. I have this brand in my marker lights up front as well, and I'm intending to replace the other brand's leds in my reverse lights with some brightstar ones. A little more pricey than comparable LEDs on Amazon, but well worth it because of the superior quality.Edit!I'm even more delighted after taking my first trip in complete darkness (around 10 p.m., cloudy, no moon). As is customary for LEDs, I was concerned that even while they appear brighter, they wouldn't truly illuminate the ground as much as the old lights. Boy, was I wrong. Those tiny glass projectors are no joke; in both running and braking modes, they emit even more light than my incandescent bulbs did. As I use the brakes, it's quite satisfying to watch the reflectors on the street signs light up behind me.
