My 2003 Trailblazer LTZ has something around 176k miles on it. Never really experienced any serious difficulties, but over the past 18 months, the reduced engine power light and the service engine light have been giving me trouble. I had to stop, restart my car, and reset before I could resume normal driving. I visited a number of Chevy blogs to investigate potential issues with the vehicle. As you can expect, I discovered that I wasn't the only one having this problem. I therefore began by removing the "Electronic Fuel Throttle" from my Trailblazer, cleaned it as best I could (I am not a technician), and reinstalled it. The on-board computer code had indicated a problem with the "Electronic Fuel Throttle" (no help). I then changed the fuel and air filters, but that didn't make a difference, even though I'm sure it improved performance somewhat. I took it to a real mechanic who drove it and advised me that I needed to replace the "Fuel Throttle" for a little over $700.00. At that point, I discovered the Amazon reviews of people who had the same issue and had replaced their accelerator pedal with a sensor. Based on the reviews of this pedal, I ordered the component. It arrived as stated, and installation went quite smoothly. The issue has since been resolved, and the service engine light and reduced engine power are no longer present. I also enjoyed that I saved money that wasn't used needlessly. I'm hoping that by sharing this, other people will find this post useful.

Many GM/Chevy vehicles will fit this pedal. 2012 Chevy Cruze was mine. Although it didn't solve my issue, it did assist me in ruling out a potential issue. I was in "low power mode" since I had the P2135 error code. I believed that replacing this sensor and cleaning the throttle body would fix the issue. Nope. Simply get a new Throttle body and go on. Oh, and the car's mileage was only 50,000. It seems a bit early for either of these components to malfunction.

I put this in my 2007 Chevrolet Impala. I spent only around 15 minutes on this installation. The task is completed with the use of a 10mm socket, two bolts, and one electrical clip. My problem with the engine power being lowered was resolved by replacing this component. In my situation, I had two different error codes, the first of which was for the sensor in the throttle body. The car was fine for approximately a month after I replaced it after validating that code. I had this new code read because the engine power reduction issue had returned, and it was discovered to be this accelerator as well. I advise going to a location that will read the error number and determine which one it actually is because my problem was at both ends.The secondary problem that was fixed by replacing this component was a sporadic rough shifting issue. The automobile would occasionally lag when attempting to accelerate from a dead stop, and the transmission would then abruptly shift into gear. Since this component has been replaced, acceleration is constant, responsive, and smooth over the whole RPM range.Added 2 mpg to the gas mileage!

mounted on a 2006 DBW S2000 vehicle. Only after carefully adjusting the installation did it function properly. Slotted mounting holes on this sebsor enable a variety of installation adjustments. If you move it too far in one direction, the first throttle motion will have a significant dead zone, preventing you from ever reaching full throttle. If you go too far in the opposite direction, the CEL code (APP sensor circuit too high) will appear and the ecu will enter limp mode. It might also idle too loudly.After calibration, the throttle response improved noticeably. The 150k mile old sensor was clearly worn.In order to calibrate a sensor, it is first installed loosely and spun completely counterclockwise within its adjustment range. Remounting the throttle assembly to the automobile has not yet been completed; simply leave it lying in the engine bay. Before turning on the key, make sure the sensor is plugged in to prevent error codes for low-voltage APP circuits. If it occurs, simply clear the codes and go on. When the sensor is unplugged, never turn the key.Now turn the key, turn the engine off, and fully depress the accelerator. Then ...Ensure that no codes are thrown (CEL still off). Next, turn the sensor counterclockwise in the smallest increment possible (mounting bolts sb just loose enough to allow rotating). Once more, floor the gas.Repeat the previous steps up until the CEL illuminates (when it eventually throws a code). Code will be too high for the APP sensor circuit. Return the sensor to its original position by rotating it counterclockwise a second time in the smallest increment. dependable mounting bolts To rerun the pedal-to-floor test, clear the code. Ensure that no codes are thrown (CEL does not turn on).The entire process is KOEO, or Key On, Engine Off.Attach the assembly to the vehicle. You might find it useful to remove a little bit more throttle cable play than you did with the OEM sensor in place before reinstalling the throttle cable. Try it out. Make careful you fully floor it during the test (after the engine has warmed up!) and in a gear higher than second (if the calibration is off, it occasionally won't generate a code when floored in first).If you experience problems when attempting to connect this sensor in and start it, try this calibration process instead. It should work with any Honda or Acura.
