Always hit or miss with some of these more affordable installation kits, but I'm happy with this one and I especially loved how supple all the cables felt. beats the acrylic hard plastic sheathing. Haters are going to hate, so simply disregard comments like "wires a little short" because it reveals EXACTLY how long each wire is. This kit generally won't have enough wire if you have a large automobile or know you will have a lot of routing; instead, opt for a 25ft kit. Additionally, there are complaints about the remote wire here. A REMOTE wire, that is. It's meant to be compact. Actually, it was the same size as the one attached to my Pioneer head unit. The fuse holder worked flawlessly, the 8 gauge wire was true to size, and it was simple to strip and join. Additionally, the speaker and RCA cords were of good quality. Easily wired a 1000 watt amp with no problems. even included a few wire ties and terminal connections. I'll buy it for less than $20.

If you know where the power sources are and how and where you want it set up, it's simple to connect.Without cutting or tapping any wires, I was able to pin mine directly into the ignition harness clip, so that was a great advantage for me (I hate messing with car wires). The headlight dimmer control for the gauge was the only thing I had not yet connected. The dimmer hasn't been needed because I leave my gauge on red to match my factory gauges.The only problem I have is that without a power source to illuminate the numbers, it is so dark that you won't be able to see anything, even in broad daylight.The suction hose that was included with the kit is also quite thin and inexpensive. During installation, one end of it ripped pretty readily. Thank goodness it was long enough for my setup to shorten it and finish the installation without any extra parts.Last but not least, I'm not sure if my gauge is broken because I can't see much more than 12 psi there although my factory setup should be at 16 psi. I am thinking that it is my ecu slowing boost or the wastegate venting early for some reason since full vacuum is showing exactly where it should and it seems to be showing little amounts of boost appropriately with no obvious indicators of vacuum or boost leaks.

An excellent gauge set for the price! Basically everything you require, including a can tap, tank adapter, and spare seals, for troubleshooting and charging an R134A system. Add a thermometer Taylor Precision Products Classic Instant Read Pocket Thermometer and some safety glasses to finish the look. Affordable Safety Glasses, Clear, Safety Works 817691 R134A is offered by Walmart and on Amazon.com. R-134a Suva A/C Automotive Refrigerant/Freon DuPont 3 Cans (12oz Cans). My son, who had never worked with HVAC before, finished topping off the system in his Chevrolet and was able to enjoy cool air in only about 30 minutes. Gauges appeared accurate and there were no hose or seal leaks. Less than a third of the price he received local estimates for this job was spent on the gauges and two cans of R134A. He has also learned a new talent and acquired a vital tool. When using the gauges for the first time, it does assist to have someone who is knowledgeable in automotive HVAC guide you through the process. Always put safety first! With the high and low rapid contacts, he had no issues. The high and low quick release valves were able to release easily and rapidly thanks to a small dab of oil on the inside.
