The website states that the item I purchased was "Sold by Sound Harbor and Fulfilled by Amazon." It arrived flawlessly (I'm a perfectionist, so even a tiny crease would make me upset). When I use the word "perfect," I really mean it. I use it to keep all of my favorite piano pieces organized, so the thin sheets don't bother me at all. Flip books function really nicely. Our band would simply laminate the music before inserting it into the clip. When switching songs, though, occasionally all the music would disappear. With this, switching between songs is significantly quicker, and since the jackets protect the music from moisture damage caused by rain, we don't have to bother about laminating.To prevent the music from flapping when the lyre is turned to one side, you should definitely purchase some wind clips (e.g trumpet rest position). For the time being, utilising merely a rubber band works nicely.We're switching these out for the whole band!"

I print off 8x11" copies of my best songs from my many books, which lets me compile my whole repertoire into a single spiral-bound book with simple-to-turn pages that sits neatly and comfortably on my music stand. I compared a number of music folders because I really wanted a new one and found that costs ranged widely. I never have that much music on hand, so I really don't need the deep interior pockets, but I did want at least five elastic bands to carry my music. As long as I make sure to lay it flat before closing the folder, the inside corner of one of the deep pockets, which had been folded somewhat in the seller's storage, appears to be smoothing out okay.The elastic cords that hold it closed are now very effective. Tight and safe. The hand strap on the spine also appeals to me. I believe it to be far superior than others I've seen. It's cozy, easy to tighten and loosen, and it stays in place no matter how tight I need it to be.Although it's impossible to determine for sure what gives it its body, the cover appears to be made of good vinyl, and the spine has an additional section that is stitched for further robustness.The cable that is intended to hold the binder in a sort of V shape so that your folder doesn't flip open while you're using it is a little bit too short, I believe, and that's about it for my criticism. I find it difficult to see both pages of my music. I think it needs to be a little bit longer. It is however feasible to totally remove it without doing so in a manner that prevents it from being put back on. If I can locate the end pieces to hold it, I'm hoping to solve the issue with a longer cord. They resemble shoelace eyelets, but only half of them are attached, allowing the shoelace to pass through the bottom holes on both sides before being torn in the opposite direction to prevent re-insertion. I have no idea what those things are named, but it functions properly. I've included pictures to help you understand what I'm talking about.Overall, I enjoy the folder and believe the cost was well spent.

My favorite. I perform song recitals, but I don't memorize the songs anymore. To free up my hands, I have employed music stands. But because this is so comfortable to handle, I prefer using this folder. I used it without any issues over multiple practices and a performance. Along with Copland's Settings of Twelve Songs by Emily Dickinson, I had two very thick Mendelssohn and Ravel songbooks published by Dover. I took each book out of the folder as I finished a song group so it would be easier to grasp. Everything went easily and smoothly. Excellent method for carrying sheet music. Do not mistake this for a binder. It's a book or folder that has sheet protectors. There are many pages, which is fantastic. The sheets of sheet protectors have so far been able to hold stapled packets of 4-5 pages all at once, but probably not more than that. I prefer to keep my music in stapled packets. The only thing I would change is to add a pencil slot. You cannot add a pencil holder pocket or place any other writing implements in the interior spine section because there are no binder rings. It is constructed of flexible plastic that is incredibly adorable and easily fits in my bag. The thinness and fragility of the sheet protectors and the inability to carry a pencil are the main reasons for the rating of 4 instead of 5.

11/29/2012: Although I haven't had a chance to test it out yet after receiving it today, I wanted to provide a preliminary evaluation.The first is that Manhasset modified this style of Choral folder at some point recently. The images you see on Amazon don't currently depict it. The Folder now features seven elastic cords linked to the spine in place of the slotted compartments. In my opinion, this design is far superior to the slotted pockets. Although there isn't a pencil holder, there are still two pockets on either side for whatever you could need. Additionally, the hand strap is somewhat tight and constructed of clear plastic. We'll check its comfort level.This choir folder's quality is... mediocre. The components are what you would expect to see in a low-priced to mid-range 3-ring binder. Everything but the elastic and the spine, through which the elastic is wound, is made of plastic. I'm not sure how long it will last under heavy use; perhaps a few months. I bought it with the hope that it would be a little nicer, but I was completely prepared to replace it after this season with something better constructed.
