TASCAM CC-222mkIV Combination CD/Cassette Recorder Review:

I've been using this Tascam recorder for over three months, and I must say that overall, I'm happy with how it performs. The only reasons it gets a 4-star rating are that it lacks a noise reduction circuit for tape recording and playback, there are separate line-in inputs for tape and CD recording, making it challenging to record the same source simultaneously to a cassette and a blank CD (since sources typically have a single output), and it does not support auto-skipping to the next song based on silence gaps in the tape when a cassette is being played back. Old tapes produce some hiss when played back loudly since there is no noise reduction circuit. Playing back more recent albums, possibly ones made directly from digital masters, yields better results. Additionally, I have observed the hiss being audible while recording on Type I tapes (I am yet to try out recording on a Type II tape though). The CD recorder is fantastic in every way! I've done some recording using a Denon phono input source, and the results are excellent. The nicest thing is that since there hasn't been any "digital remastering," you hardly notice that you aren't listening to a record when you play the recorded CD. Great results have also been obtained while recording from tapes to CDs, however some hiss can still be heard at high volumes. Since most commercial albums don't exactly have a 4 second gap between tracks, I also discovered that the sync recording option is essentially useless. I've had to manually record the majority of the CDs as a result.I have no issues driving this unit's output to a pair of Q-Acoustics speakers using a Denon amplifier. This device plays CDs and cassettes at volumes adequate for home listening with no issues. The remote is useful. The ability to adjust the pitch when recording audio on a CD is another fantastic feature that has allowed me to improve the quality of some old cassettes. Since I had trouble ejecting a tape and the power abruptly failed in the middle of playing, I now power the device using an APC UPS.This is a must-have for cassette collectors who are nerdy like me and desire some of the intricate control and intricacy of using the device. It may be used everywhere in the world thanks to the 110V to 230V power input voltage selection. The only thing I wish I had was some sort of Dolby noise cancellation circuit.

Dual Waterproof Outdoor Speaker System - 6.5 Inch Pair of Weatherproof Wall/Ceiling Mounted Speakers w/Heavy Duty Grill, Universal Mount - for Use in The Pool, Patio, Indoor - Pyle PDWR50W (White) Review:

Before I bought these, I was well aware of the reviews mentioning the problems with the grill rusting and horizontal mounting. I made the decision to buy them and take certain care to preserve their appearance and use. So that there wouldn't be a problem with the bolts stripping, I placed them first vertically. Second, to prevent the speakers from rusting during inclement weather, I purchased a pair of shower caps.I'm pleased with the speakers' sound right now. On my Onkyo home entertainment receiver, Zone 2 is where I've connected them. To the speakers, I ran copper wire of 14 gauge. Obviously, you won't get booming base speakers for the price, but they are really clear and do the job. I turned them on, and as I descended the slope for a hundred yards, I could clearly hear the music.I'm from northern Arizona, where anything left outside and unprotected during a summer monsoon can easily be destroyed. I'll update this evaluation at the end of September and let you know how they hold up now that the monsoon is about to begin.

Dual Waterproof Outdoor Speaker System - 6.5 Inch Pair of Weatherproof Wall or Ceiling Mounted White Speakers w/Heavy Duty Grill, Universal Mount - for Use in The Pool, Patio or Indoor - Pyle PDWR63 Review:

You get exactly what you pay for with these speakers. If you know what I mean, the sound is OK but a little tinny. The main issue I ran into was trying to mount the speakers using the supplied bracket and hardware.First and foremost, two knobs are used to secure the speaker to the mounting (one on each side). The knobs screw onto the speaker's threaded ports after passing through the bracket. When I tried to screw the knob into the threaded ports on either side of the speaker, the ports pushed into the speaker and fell within, never to be seen again because the speaker is sealed. I have not yet tried to get in touch with the manufacturer. I'll check up on that.FOLLOW-UP The supplier got me in touch with Amazon Customer Service after I contacted them. Without any issues, Amazon shipped me a new set of speakers (I only needed one). Within a few days, the speakers arrived, and I installed them the next day. mailed the faulty speaker back with the other replacement they had supplied. Even a postal label with postage included was provided. EVERYTHING IS OK NOW! The trouble with the first set is the sole reason they only receive 4 stars instead of 5. Overall, I'm quite happy.

These speakers and the next bigger size were purchased to replace the worn-out horn speakers at a little league baseball field. PA is obviously the main application, but music and sound effects are also used. Considering the price, the sound is excellent for the size and has decent bass response. Because steel brackets are included, installation is simple. Binding post wiring is used. These are positioned beneath our canopies, so the only thing they encounter is a lot of dust. The system, which consists of two 8" speakers, five 5.25" speakers, and all 14 gauge cabling, is powered by an Inter-M PA amp. Although it is a good option for the money, high-end audiophiles shouldn't buy it.
