I've never built a motorized bicycle before, and this kit came with everything I needed. It works great, is a little noisy, but I don't mind, and has a powerful engine. I weigh 300 pounds, and this thing pushes me up a steep hill no problem with little pedaling. I use it to commute to work and back every day. I can go up to about 20 mph (which is fast enough for me), but since I'm a big guy, lighter people will probably goHad to tune it quite a bit, but it wasn't difficult at all. I do advise purchasing a new fuel filter and some real gas line hose ($10 total) from your neighborhood auto parts store because the filter and hose that come with this kit will likely leak like mine did. However, I won't deduct any stars for that because the kit is already amazing for the price as is; minor issues are to be expected; nothing is perfect and if you are a bit handy and have common sense, its nothing toAlthough it didn't come with instructions, I still put it together because it's pretty common sense. This kit is strong, affordable, and easy to install even for beginners. It's also a lot of fun to ride about with, but please make sure your bike has decent brakes.

Here are a few tips I have for installing and attempting to start the motor. 1) The gas port on the carburetor has a white plastic object caught in it (probably to keep dust out). You must remove it and throw it away. It doesn't belong in the carburetor. 2) Before attaching the other end to the handlebars of your bike, install the throttle cable's one end on the plunger within the carburetor. Behind the plunger is a powerful spring. You'll be battling the spring trying to attach the other end to the plunger if you attach the throttle cable to the handle first (with the handle mounted on the bar). 3) I tighten the chain as much as I can. However, I discovered that if the chain isn't tight enough, the chain can bind up on itself within the motor and cause everything to come to a screeching halt. You'll still be able to push down on it with your palm and get about 1/2" of play. Therefore, it cannot bind up on itself if it is tight. 4) You will have several additional bolts and nuts. Take them along with you while you bike and keep them in a bag with some wrenches and screwdrivers. In the hopes that they won't come off while I'm riding, I applied some blue Loktite to my nuts and bolts.You might believe the motor has started when you release the clutch to start the bicycle, but it could simply be the sound of the piston rising and falling. Remove the carburetor and the tiny tube that links it to the engine if you're having trouble starting it and want the satisfaction of hearing the engine fire up. Keep the carburetor dangling and out of the way. Spray some gas into the engine block using a spray bottle filled with the gas mixture (maybe 5 squirts will appear like a teaspoon of gas up against the piston). Step on the bike, begin to peddle, and let go of the clutch. While you're riding it, the engine should start and run for a few solid seconds before shutting off. Now, let's really get it going. I noticed that there was a slight gap in the gasket between the engine block and the tube connecting the carburetor to the engine (I'm not sure why; perhaps it was damaged in some way). I just took it out and replaced it with a liquid gasket. Before sliding the carb onto the tube, I also wrapped the other end about three times with Teflon tape. Additionally, I've discovered that the choke starts the bike better when it is fully opened, which is advantageous because you won't need to reach down for it once the bike has started.
