If you know what you're doing, this kit is fantastic. You will require an aftermarket exhaust and a larger main jet for your carburetor. These are specialized for the picky scooters. One solitary component, and the cost of upgrading will exceed the value of the BBK. The compression is so substantially greater than standard that the original starter will not even turn it over, therefore I had to purchase a $100 starter. Don't just rely on YouTube; do your own research. I switched to 7 gram weights and still got fantastic pick-up and go, but the top end is frightening. During the break-in stage, also change the oil periodically. I decided to use around an ounce of Liqui Moly 2009, half of a 10w/40 and half of a 20w50. The oil looked like I could have gone another 500 miles when I changed it today after traveling around 100 miles with no metal shavings. Wishing you luck as you build.

To make this function, you must be able to make some adjustments. After my first ride, I discovered the gasoline line was leaking, and I had to replace it. Before mounting the muffler on the bike, you will need to fasten it to a 2x4 and heat it with a blowtorch to bend it so that it fits beneath the pedals. Overall, I'm purchasing another one. However, the next bike I would get would have a hand-held front brake and a peddle break so the kids could ride it without becoming confused by the two handles on the left side. Keep the rubber on the road and have fun!

I've never built a motorized bicycle before, and this kit came with everything I needed. It works great, is a little noisy, but I don't mind, and has a powerful engine. I weigh 300 pounds, and this thing pushes me up a steep hill no problem with little pedaling. I use it to commute to work and back every day. I can go up to about 20 mph (which is fast enough for me), but since I'm a big guy, lighter people will probably goHad to tune it quite a bit, but it wasn't difficult at all. I do advise purchasing a new fuel filter and some real gas line hose ($10 total) from your neighborhood auto parts store because the filter and hose that come with this kit will likely leak like mine did. However, I won't deduct any stars for that because the kit is already amazing for the price as is; minor issues are to be expected; nothing is perfect and if you are a bit handy and have common sense, its nothing toAlthough it didn't come with instructions, I still put it together because it's pretty common sense. This kit is strong, affordable, and easy to install even for beginners. It's also a lot of fun to ride about with, but please make sure your bike has decent brakes.

Everything arrived in one piece, was beautifully packaged, and was the right size for my 2002 Yamaha pw80 dirt bike. Before, the bike's charred piston and cylinder walls resulted in a complete lack of compression.But with this, it performs flawlessly!However, I must admit that the top header appeared a little shaky after being machined, but it functions flawlessly after correct installation!Overall, this bundle is a terrific deal for all the goods you receive.

Be assured the mixing ratio for fuel and oil:16:1 for break period (first 300 miles) / 20:1 after(18:1 is much better in summer because of the hot weather);air cylinder might take some time to adjust to the load. Thus to avoid possible complications for the motor, please limit the riding time to a maximum of 1 hour for the first few rides.

Here are a few tips I have for installing and attempting to start the motor. 1) The gas port on the carburetor has a white plastic object caught in it (probably to keep dust out). You must remove it and throw it away. It doesn't belong in the carburetor. 2) Before attaching the other end to the handlebars of your bike, install the throttle cable's one end on the plunger within the carburetor. Behind the plunger is a powerful spring. You'll be battling the spring trying to attach the other end to the plunger if you attach the throttle cable to the handle first (with the handle mounted on the bar). 3) I tighten the chain as much as I can. However, I discovered that if the chain isn't tight enough, the chain can bind up on itself within the motor and cause everything to come to a screeching halt. You'll still be able to push down on it with your palm and get about 1/2" of play. Therefore, it cannot bind up on itself if it is tight. 4) You will have several additional bolts and nuts. Take them along with you while you bike and keep them in a bag with some wrenches and screwdrivers. In the hopes that they won't come off while I'm riding, I applied some blue Loktite to my nuts and bolts.You might believe the motor has started when you release the clutch to start the bicycle, but it could simply be the sound of the piston rising and falling. Remove the carburetor and the tiny tube that links it to the engine if you're having trouble starting it and want the satisfaction of hearing the engine fire up. Keep the carburetor dangling and out of the way. Spray some gas into the engine block using a spray bottle filled with the gas mixture (maybe 5 squirts will appear like a teaspoon of gas up against the piston). Step on the bike, begin to peddle, and let go of the clutch. While you're riding it, the engine should start and run for a few solid seconds before shutting off. Now, let's really get it going. I noticed that there was a slight gap in the gasket between the engine block and the tube connecting the carburetor to the engine (I'm not sure why; perhaps it was damaged in some way). I just took it out and replaced it with a liquid gasket. Before sliding the carb onto the tube, I also wrapped the other end about three times with Teflon tape. Additionally, I've discovered that the choke starts the bike better when it is fully opened, which is advantageous because you won't need to reach down for it once the bike has started.

I immediately received the item, however when I went to assemble the top end, I discovered that the piston rings were enormous. Inquiring with the seller about this If they fix it, I'll update and either add or remove ratings.ASSIGNMENT 5/27/18Fast replacement rings were provided by the seller, and they fit. Unfortunately, the base gasket ruptured during assembly, which is why the cylinder does not seal to the block and has almost no compression (30 psi). The base gasket is made of extremely flimsy material and ripped completely out of the blue. When trying to fasten it, it snagged on a stud. I made an attempt to use the gasket maker/rtv that was provided in conjunction with the gasket, but it was unsuccessful.The kit does not include a new exhaust gasket or an intake manifold gasket, which I know is not shown in the picture but which you will need to buy or make yourself using rtv.I will contact the seller for a new base gasket and see if that solves the issue. I hate having to disassemble it once more.a.d. 9.6.18Reassembled it after receiving a replacement jug base gasket. It functions perfectly. My 3- and 5-year-old children are in heaven.Overall, a great business to work with. They immediately fulfilled my request to ship out the items and replacement parts. Although you will need to drill out the vacuum port, the product itself is functional. I'm raising my rating from three to four stars.I appreciate your great client service.
