Overall, this safe will keep a youngster or a rapid smash-and-grab attempt from gaining access to the gun. Will it stop someone from using tools? 99% of the time, no. This safe's included cable is absolute crap. With pliers, I split the cable in half in less than a minute. You MUST update the cable if you purchase this for your car. I saw a review before buying this safe that suggested switching out the cable for a Tufnut's sc3 hi-strength 3/16"-1/4" x 3 cable (total: $7 with delivery). The turning point was at this point. Nine out of ten thefts will be avoided by just one easy update. I've included pictures to compare the two cords and demonstrate how much space a Glock 19 has. My only worry right now is that someone might use a screwdriver and a hammer to break the lock. Due of this, the wire will pass past the trigger guard unloaded and then exit my automobile around something that has a sturdy deadbolt lock on it. As the gun will still be secured, this will prevent someone from cutting the wire or breaking the lock. Yes, these two adjustments are working, but if I must leave my gun in the car, I want it to be there when I return. Given that you'll need to pass through two locks just to use the gun, I also don't expect to have rapid access to it. I advise against purchasing this item if you want rapid access and instead opt to get a cheap handgun that you don't mind losing instead.(If you update the cable, filing down the tunnel for a neat fit will take no more than five minutes.)

When I finally cracked the package, I was pleasantly delighted. This heavy-duty, well-made $20 item fits my Ruger 9mm perfectly and comes with an additional magazine. My unique combination made it simple to reset the combination lock, and the instructions fit under the included foam pads. Although a cable to secure to a fixed position was included, I acquired this to make sure that only I could access the loaded gun. My grandson has little chance of obtaining the loaded weapon, but an expert burglar could easily cut the cord with bolt cutters and open the heavy metal box with only minimal effort.For that reason, this $20 investment is excellent.

A HEAVY DUTY steel box is more than enough to keep young children (ages 1 to 5) out of the seats until they are old enough to understand. If they have tools, it won't put up much of a struggle to stay out of the hands of thieves and kids in school. Due to the size of the pistol I chose to store, the only problem I ran into is one that is unique to me. It's a tight fit for a full-size handgun with TLR2 mounted, as you can see in the pictures. I am a strong supporter of the second amendment and open carry. Compared to most people with a cwp, I've got more training and experience. Although my all-metal Hornady case is a terrific safe and is comparable to yours in appearance, one drawback is that it weighs 5.6 pounds empty. While it wouldn't be an issue in a car, it would be in your checked bags and could result in you having to pay an additional $100 in overweight baggage fees. In addition, I dislike hauling around bulky luggage.The case has a very minor fault in that the hinge is exterior, as the lone reviewer who awarded it one rating pointed out. I might give it a one star rating if it were a really serious deal. But some people are unaware of what the stars 2, 3, and 4 symbolize. If it had been a major issue, I would have given it a 4 instead of 5 stars. It's not a big deal, though. We now have an 8-month-old daughter who is beginning to crawl and try to stand on her own, so we can't just leave our firearms out any longer, so I found this safe after seeing it on Hickok45's YouTube channel. My original choice was the SpeedVault Biometric, but I changed my mind when I saw this one because it isn't as hefty and big and doesn't need to be attached to anything like the SpeedVault. The Vaultek Biometric safe has a characteristic that makes it stand out from other biometric safes right away: in contrast to the SpeedVault and many others, it also has a keypad, Bluetooth, and keyed entry. This was a good alternative to the finger print reader to have in case it failed in an emergency since it was necessary to have another option.Additionally, you can save up to two administrators and, from what I can see, 20 additional people in the safe finger print memory. I like the inside LED light feature and the fact that the brightness can be adjusted by using the Vaultek Android/Apple app. I also like that opening the safe, having tamper alerts, fingerprint management, a full history log, and a battery indicator are all possible via Bluetooth from the unit. I also like that it is almost silent when opening where others make a loud clank. The majority of these can still be displayed by the device itself, but having the app on the phone is convenient. Although they also have white and camouflage options, I chose the black unit because it will fit in nicely virtually everywhere. Everything you need is included with the safe, including the mounting screws, security cable, screwdriver, lithium ion battery and charger/cable that fits into the side of the device.This is by far the greatest fast access vault/safe I have discovered on the market because my purpose in buying one is not only to have it accessible quickly but also to stop our daughter or anyone else who is typically in the house from playing with what's inside. First things first: it's obvious that this isn't a safe with strong security. You'll have to pay a lot more money if that's what you want. This safe is best used to keep items like weapons away from small children and similar things.I'm using it as a fire containment box made of metal for my LiPo drone batteries. They don't usually catch fire, but it can happen. Any flames that might start should be put out by this steel box. The mounting holes will stop the box from pressurizing and turning into a bomb in the case of a fire.Everything is operating as it was intended to and setup was simple. You'll be content as long as your demands are in line with the product's design.

We needed a cheap solution to keep the bedside gun locked away with a new baby in the house. This little safe, in my opinion, is ideal. Vaultek does produce a brand of pistol safes called the (vt) that costs up to 70 dollars more but has two locks as opposed to the (ve) line's single latch and other features. It doesn't rattle, has a fair weight, and has excellent build quality. Come with a steel cable so you may fasten it to a substantial item to prevent it from escaping. It will keep the kids out and anyone looking to grab and run without tools, but if a professional thief finds it, I'm confident he'll have it in a few minutes.This safe has a number of lovely features. When unlocked, the keypad has an interior light that illuminates when you get close to it. The keypad may be used to turn on and off the inside light and beep. Tamper alert is a fantastic feature that shows if a bad code was entered after the previous valid code by holding down two buttons. Although it has only been a month, the battery hasn't died on me yet, and the documentation claims that leaving the device plugged in constantly won't cause any damage. If it breaks, have backup keys. Holding down a key indicates the battery level. The keypad and external finish appear to be pricey. Additionally, the packaging exceeded my expectations; the shippers aren't damaging this item!Overall, it has many high-end features and a superb design and performance. I wouldn't think twice purchasing one or two for any needs you may have for little items.If this device malfunctions or breaks down too soon, I'll update the amendedA full-size 9mm Sig with a 5" barrel, a light, a laser, and an additional magazine is included.

I adore it! not exactly love! The metal is far thicker than the majority of boxes I've seen. Predrilled holes allow for mounting pretty much anyplace, including a desk, wall, or floor. Although the touchpad can be a little touchy, it usually opens without a hitch. The audible beep from the buttons is so loud that by inputting the codes, you would warn any intruder, thus it's a good thing there is a mute mode.It comes with a foam pad, but I honestly don't like it, so I swapped it out for a thin piece of felt so I could use my magnet to keep items in place while it's mounted on the wall. Perfectly disguised fit and slim dimensions. And the cost!? It is unbeatable! The directions are really simple and clear. I like that the keys are true solid cut keys rather than simply the little safe keys because I won't lose these. If I had to select a flaw, I would say that the mechanical latch's noise is a little too loud, but once more, only if I wanted to. I am quite pleased with this product overall. Shipping was prompt, and everything is wonderful. ordering a second one for the home's first floor!

This gun safe satisfied my demand for a reliable one for my automobile. Everything was flawless since I followed the instructions exactly as they were written on the package. I had no trouble setting up my personal code or the key-fob.I can now leave my weapon in a locked safe in my car when necessary with peace of mind. When anchoring down to your car, the lock cable they give works as intended. The cable is long enough for me to easily access the safe from my driver's seat after I ran it around under the back of the passenger seat.The key itself requires a little effort to open, but other than that, things are going well.
