Are grass catchers good?

Whether or not grass catchers are good depends on your needs and preferences. Some people find them helpful in keeping their lawns tidy, while others find them to be a nuisance. If you often have to clean up after your pet, a grass catcher can be a godsend. They can also help you save time if you have a large lawn. On the other hand, grass catchers can be difficult to empty and clean, and they can be expensive. Ultimately, the decision of whether or not to use a grass catcher is up to you.

Are lawn robots worth it?

Lawn robots are becoming increasingly popular, but are they worth the investment? While they may save you time and energy, lawn robots can be expensive and may not do as good of a job as you could do yourself. Consider your needs and budget before making a decision.

Does frequent mowing thicken grass?

Frequent mowing does not thicken grass, but it may make it appear fuller. Grass grows from the base of the plant, so mowing the tips does not promote new growth. In fact, if you mow too often, you may damage the grass and prevent it from growing.

VIBIRIT Lawn Tractor Leaf Bag, Garden Lawn and Leaf Trash Bags Reusable Collecting Leaves Waste Bag, for Cub Cadet XT1 LT42, XT1 LT46, XT2 LX42, XT2 LX46 Lawn Tractors Review:

awesome purchase Fits my tractor like a glove.

Honda 81320-VH7-D00 Fabric Grass Bag Review:

A mower bag, that is. It works. The old bag was functional, but the fabric's lack of airflow prevented it from picking up the grass very well. It became better when you placed a new blade on, but the biggest improvement came from the new bag. The bag immediately inflated like a balloon after being fired up. It cut like a brand-new mower after getting back to full suction power. I now want to change the bag every year for less than $30. Totally obvious to me.

Honda 81320-VG4-010 Harmony Fabric Grass Bag Review:

awesome bag A little challenging to apply to the frame, particularly on the top front region where the frame is attached when all the other areas are snapped into place. Therefore, it is preferable to secure the top front portion first. And voilà! The bag is prepared for mowing, and the rest is simple to mount. Wish it would stay as long as the previous one. Before the plastic grew brittle and cracked, around ten years.

MTD Genuine Parts - 42 in. and 46 in. Double Bagger for Riding Lawn Mowers (2010 and After) Review:

put in place today. Fits the Cub Cadet XT1 46 nicely. a few pointers 1. Keep the original chute in place. Don't do this since the spring assembly on the chute completes the seal better. I installed new blades the day it was supposed to arrive and thought I'd just remove the chute.2. Ignore anything in the instructions pertaining to the model 700 series.3. There is a pin on the chute assembly that inserts into a hole beside the guide wheel. In my case, one of the bolts holding the pin in place stuck out further than the other. The guidance wheel was interrupted by this. Remove the star bit bolt and then add one or two washers to the interior. In the package, I had some loose weatherstripping. I have no idea where that comes from or where it goes, and you won't utilize the extra brackets, etc.I was happy that the installation only took 20 minutes and didn't require any equipment.

BENICCI Lawn Tractor Leaf Bag - Includes Speed Zipper for Fast Cleanup and Clean Out - Extra Durable Yard Bag Prevents Tearing and Surface Drag - Perfect for all Tractors Review:

This was an Amazon suggested purchase. I looked through the earlier reviews and watched the video that was posted with one of them. Even though I wasn't completely convinced, I reasoned, "If it works, what a difference..." I have a sizable yard with lots of trees all around it. Dragging a tarp full of leaves into the woods requires traveling 100–250 yards, including uphill. As I approach my sixties, the task becomes ever more difficult. The Benicci arrived about noon on Saturday after I placed my order on Friday. Even though there were no "installation instructions," it is clear that you remove the bags and use the drawstring to secure the Binicci bag to the bagger's frame. I did that. After driving around and collecting the leaves, you drive your lawnmower (in my case, into the woods) or anywhere you choose to empty the bag. No lifting is necessary. The previous week, I'd spent roughly 4 hours blowing, raking, and dragging leaves, as well as mowing the lawn. My typical mow time on Saturday was around an hour and a half. My neighbor told me he was going to order one that night when he spotted me and came over to inquire about it. GOOD NEWS: It can be attached to any rider mower with a bagger system and is not brand-specific.

Fiskars 361800-1002 StaySharp Max Grass Catcher 18 Inch, Black Review:

I wasn't sure if I wanted to buy the grass catcher when I first read the reviews. According to reviews, if you hit bumps or a rough region, the grass catcher would come off easily. As I read the reviews, I came across one where a man suggested using the elastic bands that come with broccoli or asparagus.I decided to order it based on this.Wow, was I taken aback! The manufacturer must have read your evaluations or received concerns about the grass catcher coming off. These days, it comes with two clips to secure it to the mower. The broccoli rubber bands I had brought with me to attach the grass catcher to worked fantastically, so I gave them to my wife.

Lawn Tractor Leaf Bag Review:

You should get this bag!It saved me hours of leaf pick-up time when I purchased one of these, and it was the best money I've ever spent on leaf cleanup. It is constructed of highly sturdy cloth that is of excellent quality. It took some experimenting for me to figure out the best method to fasten it to my grass catcher housing, but after I cinched it over the top lip, it worked flawlessly and never came off, no matter how much I would stuff the bag with. The bag can be readily filled to the point where it is challenging to empty! Additionally, the tube would constantly clog up when I used the bags that came with the catcher; not so with this bag. I could push through the thickest leaves without ever having a blockage! For such things, my yard serves as a torture test. I have to cross two driveways, a ton of oak and maple leaves, and dirt spots from all the tree shade. I hope it will hold up okay..but only time will tell. After wearing it for two weekends, it had some dirt patches on it and exhibited some little wear from dragging. I actually tried wiring up a tarp to function as a wear shield under the bag being carried by the mower; it worked reasonably well, but it needs some work! When I initially bought a bag, I made the idiotic mistake of backing over it as I put my tractor away, ripping it to pieces. When I contacted the number listed on his documents, he responded right away. I explained what had happened, and he offered to send me another bag to replace the one I had wrecked for a fixed fee with no postage. In addition, I informed him that it was Tuesday night and I needed it by Saturday. When I arrived home from work on Friday night, he had it ready and waiting for me! That sure is good customer service! Overall, I couldn't be happier with this bag. We'll see how it performs, but even if I wear them out after a few seasons, the purchase was still worthwhile.

Husqvarna H242SL 2-Bin 42-Inch Lawn Tractor Grass Catcher Review:

Assuring me that it fits all Husqvarna 42" tractors, several reviewers claim that this does not suit their Husqvarna tractor. Well, my tractor will not fit. Customer service from Husqvarna was utterly unhelpful, didn't know the model number of my tractor, and directed me to my neighborhood dealer (by the way, the dealer confirmed that Husqvarna customer service is useless). If your tractor's model number begins with LO..., it is not possible to add extras like a bagger, according to the dealers' database. This will mount and function if your tractor already has the four shoulder bolts set up on the back hitch plate.I was able to create my own adapter plate and install it on my tractor because I have access to a machine shop. This bagger is simple to attach and detach and is excellent for sucking up leaves. I wholeheartedly endorse this product if you have the appropriate tractor. Just don't attempt to solicit assistance from Husqvarna.

Reel Mower Grass Catcher 1ST-SP American Lawn Mower Review:

This has been put to use three times since the snow stopped in late April. It's somewhat fragile, but that's to be expected given the price*. It took some effort on my part to get it attached in the proper spot, but once I did, it holds on reasonably well (though not perfectly; at some point, I may need to use some of the handywoman's secret weapon, duct tape). It caught the grass from my American Lawn Mower mower and was simple to put together. I appreciate that this picks up some leaves because my front yard is bordered by many large trees and my backyard is entirely wooded. In order to hold it till I dump the bag, I can also place sticks in it. No, it doesn't catch every piece of grass or leaf, but that's the responsibility of the mower, not the catcher, and I didn't plan on doing that. When putting the mower away, I recommend cleaning the plastic where the chain attaches to the bottom of the bag since I have occasionally gotten some grass caught there. Cleaning that out with a stick is easy enough.*In use, the metal frame hasn't bowed out of shape. Despite the thinness of the cloth, sticks cannot pierce it. It's $18. I didn't want to spend so much money, but I also didn't anticipate getting the same thing as a $80 grass catcher. This, in my opinion, is a useful feature that helps to lessen the annoyance of mowing rather than an absolute necessity. It's practical, affordable, and has been helpful.
