There is no definitive answer, as different municipalities in New York have different laws and regulations regarding pool alarms. Some require them for all pools, while others only require them for pools with certain depth specifications. In general, however, it is always a good idea to have an alarm system installed on your pool, as it can help prevent accidents and injuries.
If you have a pool in your yard, you may be wondering if you need to install a fence around it as well. After all, if your yard is already fenced in, isn't that enough? The answer to this question depends on a few factors. First, it is important to check your local laws and regulations to see if there are any requirements for fencing around pools. In some areas, this is a legal requirement. Even if it is not required by law, however, it is still a good idea to fence in your pool. This will help to
Pool alarms are designed to detect when someone has entered the water and to alert the homeowner or pool operator. Most pool alarms work by detecting changes in water pressure or waves in the pool. Some pool alarms are designed to be worn by swimmers, and these alarms will sound when the swimmer goes underwater. While pool alarms can be a helpful tool in preventing drowning, they are not foolproof. Pool alarms can give false alarms, or they may not detect a swimmer in the water if the swimmer is very small or is not making any waves.
There is some debate over whether or not pool alarms are effective. Some people argue that they are a valuable tool that can help prevent accidents, while others say that they are not reliable and can cause false alarms. Ultimately, it is up to the individual to decide whether or not a pool alarm is right for them.

decent given the cost. I looked for an alarm that has two remote controls so I could use one inside and give the other to my son.I only use one of the three sets of alarms for the entrance door.Even the AAA batteries for the alarms on all three sets are included.Get a 3M sticker as a gift.Remember only these two things:1. If the distance between the door and the wall is high, you will need to combine two things that are quite close to each other in order for the alarm to function.2. You must perform the connect first time with both remotes on a single alarm and not one at a time in order to get the two remotes to cooperate on a single alarm.

To meet my city's criteria for new in-ground pool building, I purchased 7 of them. They were simple to install and came as promised. I put all 7 in under an hour using the double-sided tape technique, paying close attention to the directions. Because the alarms are fairly sensitive, I didn't put the batteries in them until the day of the inspection to prevent them from accidently going off. They achieved a perfect score. Due to the age and good swimming abilities of my children, I will be taking them out after the final inspection. However, I strongly advise making these alarms a permanent feature in homes with young children.

We installed an in-ground pool last year. We built our pool area with access from the family room in the basement. When the inspector arrived, he advised us to install a door alarm because a youngster may easily exit the building and fall into the pool. Two further alarms that we tried didn't go off. This one is the one we purchased, and thus far, it's been fantastic! We passed the inspection, therefore if you need an alarm for your pool to pass the inspection, this one will work! Furthermore, it's VERY LOUD! If you have young children, you will definitely hear them leave the house because my neighbours can hear it!

You must get this item if you have a pool.Cons: Doesn't need to be screwed into concrete, isn't unsightly, doesn't require a child under the age of eight to figure it out, works well, is loud, and provides peace of mind. The price was comparable to that of similar products.None, please!I performed a ton of research and am thrilled with the outcome of this product. Although pool alarms are not needed where I live, they were a must for my family because I have 2 children who are 2 and 1 years old. We keep a close eye on our kids, and we also have a gate around the pool and sliding door locks (another need). This extra security measure is necessary, especially if you live in a community with other youngsters.I was worried about this because other reviewers had mentioned false alarms. Anyone with young children doesn't want a nighttime false alert. I'm happy to report that there have been heavy downpours and even small animals (a mouse or frog) without any erroneous alarms. I had doubts about its functionality, but each time we test it, it performs as it should. I would advise periodically checking this alarm, as you do with any alarm. Please don't hesitate to make this transaction if you are. Every pool ought to have one, and I hope you like it as much as I did.

I unpacked the package, followed the simple installation instructions, installed it without difficulty, and then spent about an hour making tweaks to make it just right. My city now requires it as a "secondary" device as a result of a new, utterly absurd California regulation.

The product performed as promised. Knowing that we would be informed if she discovered herself in the pool made me feel better. We once forgot our key, so we had to lock and unlock with a pair of scissors. It would be preferable if the lock could accept a coin or was a common tool. However, if the adults in the room don't have a routine to follow, this tool is useless. Get this wristband, but also discuss with the adults what to do when the alarm goes off. The alarm went off in my case, but instead of looking for my child and making sure she was okay, the adults were more concerned with shutting off the loud noise and not awakening the other kids who were in the middle of sleeping. Instead of merely saying, "I just saw her with so and so, I'm thinking she's safe," I should have told them at dinner that the first thing we will do if the alarm goes off is look for my baby and make sure she is secure. Start looking in the pool, then shout her name inside and outside, and then look in bathtubs and commodes (bodies of water). After that, stress over shutting it off. Since it was so obvious to me at the time what would happen if we heard the alarm, it seems ludicrous for me to offer you this bit of advise, but as you can see, it's better to be safe than sorry.

I've had this pool alarm for a while, and it functions as it should. It will sound when there is a strong storm or when my Polaris pool cleaner knocks it (I actually need to adjust the cleaner so that it doesn't come up the wall so high, and I think that would fix the issue). My husband glued the clip to the side of the pool tile to attach the rope using extra adhesive.Recent issues with the alarm required me to remove the battery in order to stop it from falsely sounding the alert when I was not in the water. Was a short in it someplace, but after I wrote an email to support, they quickly sent me a new (had to provide proof of purchase). Excellent customer service! In conclusion, I endorse this pool alarm! Only because of how the weather set it off did I give it four stars (windy, heavy rains, etc)

This alert is a very useful safety tool. We place it on the pool's edge, and if anything gets in its way, an alarm sounds. Even with the TV on and the dogs barking, it is loud enough to be heard inside the home. This, in my opinion, will keep people from accidentally falling into our pool.
In order to have an above ground pool in New York, you need to obtain a permit from your local building department. The permit is required in order to ensure that the pool is installed according to the New York State Uniform Fire Prevention and Building Code.
Most pools don't require an alarm, but they can be a good idea if you have young children or pets. Alarms can be set to go off if someone falls into the pool, or if the water level gets too low.
If you have a pool on your property, your insurance company may require you to have a fence around the pool. The purpose of the fence is to help prevent accidents, especially those involving children. If you do not have a fence, or if your fence does not meet the requirements of your insurance company, you may be denied coverage or charged higher rates.
It's important to take extra care around the pool to ensure your child's safety. Always supervise your child when they are near the water. Keep them within arm's reach at all times. It's also important to teach your child to swim and to be aware of the dangers of the water. Make sure they know never to go into the water alone. If you have a pool at home, make sure it is fenced in and has a locked gate. This will help to prevent accidents.
It's important to take precautions to childproof your pool area to prevent accidents. There are a few things you can do to make your pool safer for children: -Install a pool fence that is at least four feet high and has a self-closing, self-latching gate. -Place pool toys and floats out of reach of small children. -Keep pool chemicals stored safely away from children. -Teach children to swim and supervise them closely when they are in the pool.
A swimming pool alarm is a device that is used to detect when someone or something has entered the water. There are many different types of swimming pool alarms, but they all work by using sensors to detect when something has broken the surface of the water. The sensors can be located above the water, below the water, or even inside the pool itself. When the sensors detect something, they will send a signal to the alarm system, which will then sound an alarm.
