I purchased this arch for some weddings this year as a florist in San Diego. I read every question that was posted regarding this before posting my own. From beginning to end (from the front door in the box to completion), I spent approximately an hour putting everything together by myself (including trash clean up). Some of the pieces were a little difficult to put together, but with a little WD40, I was good to go. It wasn't intended to be constantly disassembled and reassembled, but for my needs, I have it broken down into four simple to handle sections that all fit comfortably in the back of my Nissan Rogue. It's a beautiful piece, and I've gotten plenty of compliments on it. At any given wedding location, I can put the four pieces back together in under five minutes. Oh, and I set it up twice: once on grass and once on concrete. Both were perfect for the purpose of a wedding ceremony! I purposefully purchased a heavier piece like this, and the location where I utilized it on concrete was extremely windy. It didn't even ratchet. Even though the legs don't have flat, straight bottoms, but rather are more compacted, like the end of a crumpled paper towel tube, it remained completely erect the entire time. And the same applies to grass. No issues either location! All was just placed on top, and that was it.Offering clients who don't want some white lattice thing from 1986 this alternative is such a cool idea. Customer support was also first-rate. Just be aware that the iron can scratch, which is something to keep in mind. However, even if it does, it really won't matter much. I appreciate your high caliber work.

While I considered a number of options, including more expensive ones, for an arbor for my trumpet vine and climbing rose bushes, this one turned out to be a wonderful deal and the opening size worked well for me. Some benefits The price is excellent for an arbor of this kind. It is also simple to put together, and even though I did need some help, it could be done by one person by setting it on the floor or up against a wall. The arbor is pretty lovely, and the vinyl components are quite durable. Cons: While covered in white and simple to drill, the arbor's screws are not particularly appealing when viewed from a distance. I wish they were concealed or had vinyl tops, but I assume my vine would quickly hide them, so I guess I'm being picky about this. The small caps on the top crossbars are 5 sided, unlike the 3 sided caps for the long crossbars, which I wish were the same. I filled in the tiny holes with a bit extra silicon. It was a little challenging to align the braces that connect the top and sides, so make sure everything is square. Even so, the arbor looks nice for the price, and since I set mine up next to the gate's support pillars, it is securely braced. I'm not sure how it would hold up on its own without cement or another kind of support. The metal plates that attach to the vertical support bars to ground the arbor are adequate, but take caution when screwing in the self-tapping screws to avoid damaging the metal like I did. It would have been useful to have pre-drilled holes. Overall, I'm glad I bought this arbor and am pleasantly pleased by how reasonably priced it was. If the arbor had been a little bit more robust and the top braces had been better fitting, I would have given it a five.

Thank goodness I chose the Wellington arbor. I put everything together myself, and since I'm a woman with construction knowledge, I realized the arbor would need to be leveled and squared up in the final stages.Before beginning to separate and tag the parts that were inside the four posts, I first read the instructions and glanced at the parts inventory list. Different insert cut-outs for the vertical design rails were present in the horizontal inner, middle, and outer cross rails. Four top cross rails were missing, which I discovered. This allowed me the opportunity to call Dura-toll-free Trel's number and have them to be mailed to me. I was simply questioned about the color I had chosen. The parts were courteously delivered in three days.The screws were divided into length-specific bags, then placed into a single bag. Additionally, the four steel ground anchors came in separate packaging.I started by putting together the sides, making sure the cross members were inserted deeply enough for the screws to catch. the rubber mallet was used.The two top rails were then installed, but left unfastened to allow for adjustment. In order to give it some stability until the missing rails showed up the next day, I spaced the four top cross rails. I could begin modifying and aligning the corner bracing supports once those four had been installed.To make sure that all the points of attachment had vinyl to tap into, I used a 2" heavy duty sewing needle. The pre-drilled holes are practical and made it much easier to align and screw the parts into position.The four uprights and corner braces were the only places with unpredrilled holes. After leveling and squaring everything, I used a 1/16th inch drill bit to tap a beginning hole for these parts because this vinyl is rather durable.The end and top caps were cemented on, and I was happy with the outcome. SCREWS ARE ALL OUTWARD FACING. I advise you to develop your own assembly procedure because some people work better with written instructions than others. I applied both.Watching my hubby bring it out front without it falling apart was the nicest part.I'm going to quickly secure the anchors in the earth, giving it a secure footing.I took my time and put this together over a few days. It ought should take two people a day. It was a project for my new FLORIDA FLAME VINES home that was occasionally annoying but ultimately rewarding. Now pick a location.Blessings and joy.

I genuinely hope that reading this review will be helpful to someone. I looked around for weeks before deciding to purchase two of these arches. I became worried as soon as the boxes showed up. The thin cardboard shipping boxes were both torn in a few different places and appeared to have sustained some damage, which made me worry that the arches had been harmed. Finding nothing broken or missing was a huge relief for me. The miracle! Finding a way to put the arch together and then install it in the garden took some effort. I set everything up on my own, but I think it would have been much simpler if I had a second set of hands. It would be advisable to fully assemble it on the ground before carefully setting it up vertically in the location I had chosen for installation. As it is put together, it is awkward.Although the tubular rods seem sturdy enough on their own, they are joined by a type of black plastic connector that gave me little hope for the arch's long-term survival in a climate like that of the Midwest. On that, only time will tell. The tubular steel rod must be screwed onto the connectors. There are 14 of them, and they serve as the "strength" that maintains the overall arch's shape. The screw hole in one of the connectors was damaged, making it impossible for the screw to support the weight of one of the rods. I'm going to get in touch with the business to see if I can order a replacement connector. In fact, you might wish to purchase a whole set of connections for potential repairs in the future. Additionally, there are several "joint protectors" that are black and slightly elastic and are composed of a soft rubber product. These must be put on so that both sides of the joint areas are covered. It could be convenient to keep a repair kit and a few of these beauties in the basement.One extra rod included in the kit is specifically marked to be used to pound four 15"-deep holes into the earth, which is another disadvantage. The four bottom rods of the arch must be inserted into these holes. The drawback is that you have to be sure to precisely drill the holes before burying the arch because it is not sturdy enough to withstand any direct pounding with a rubber mallet. You will need to wrangle the trellis back up and out and bang the holes deeper once more, like I had to do, if the holes are not deep enough.I was startled to realize that the high point finial on the front side was considerably off-center compared to the one on the back after completing the second arch's assembly and having it in place. I was unable to identify the issue, but with more examination I came to the conclusion that there was only one possible cause. I had to deconstruct the upper arch region and raise the arch out of the ground once more. The front and back top arches do not need to be put together in exactly the same way, according to the instructions. The other half of the arch rod, which it fits into, is a perfect round tube whereas the other half of the arch rod has a lengthy flat shape to it. Although the front and back arches appear to be exactly the same in shape, they are not. Be extremely cautious to insert the top strut, which connects the rear and front arches, in precisely the same orientation so that the long flat ends of the rods are on the same side for the front and back arches.Overall, it has a fantastic shape, and the cost was reasonable compared to other arches. I'm using it as a support for a cucumber trellis, and I've fastened hardware cloth and string to it. I'm hoping to use it for three or four seasons.Since it has been a full year since I purchased two of these trellises, I am providing an update to the review I previously wrote. The most incredible thing I can say about these two trellises is that, on May 20, 2013, when we were struck by 100 mph straight-line winds that came with an EF1 tornado that made landfall southwest of America's Hometown in Hannibal, Missouri, they were both still standing up straight and tall. My neighbor's house was hit by a massive four-story high elm tree, my west side windows erupted and broke, my front living room was filled with water and debris, my two-story gutters were also torn off, and my chain link fence was twisted in half, however these two arches were not even slightly harmed. Even worse, they didn't even topple. How shall I put it? Two extremely hefty metal arches that I purchased from a different source were immediately taken out of the ground while the old growth honeysuckle was still still clinging to them. The heavy arches needed three guys to lift them back into an upright posture, but the Gardman Gothic Arches didn't budge. I'm the only one who is more shocked!An update to the above review was made on April 16th:The straight-line winds that struck Hannibal on May 20, 2013, have now passed for roughly a year. For the majority of yesterday afternoon, snow was falling.

Extra simple to assemble, albeit some sections need a tap from my rubber mallet to get the screws to go through. It came out great, and the assembly only took me a half-hour. It was simple to put together, take apart, and put back together again. I even had to deconstruct it a little because I wasn't paying attention and had an extra square on one side.I gave it a 4 because I was given an extra a piece rather than an e piece, which prevented me from screwing in the final rung. I looked in my toolbox to see what I had and discovered a drywall anchor with a hole that was around the same size. I used an industrial glue gun to glue that in, and it worked perfectly.Overall, it's not very sturdy, but I'm hoping that my vines will keep it in place. I also tied it to the ground with some garden staples and stapled it to the earth. I'm quite pleased with how it turned out and can't wait for my roses to bloom more to fill it out.Update:This has been standing for almost two months. I purchased a hummingbird feeder, a birdbath, and a bird feeder for it. It handled the weight of the two feeders and the weight of the hundreds of birds that perched on it without a problem. I'm very glad I purchased this. I love how my front garden looks! I am really happy that I was able to train my roses to grow on this.

This arch was purchased for our indoor wedding ceremony. We had little trouble assembling it and knew in before that we would need to figure out how to create a base for it to stand without toppling over. The two wooden crates we ultimately purchased from the craft store were painted white. The bottom of the arch was then inserted into the styrofoam that had been placed within the crates. In the end, it performed admirably! The arch can support some flowers, but not many.

Although it didn't have instructions, assembly was straightforward. The top was the only thing I required assistance with, however they offered photographs on Amazon demonstrating how the top is assembled. Additionally, the Box included loose bolts and screws. The small baggie appears to have just ruptured. The situation worked out well because everything I needed was present. I'm overjoyed with it. For $40, the quality is just what I anticipated. You must bury it in the ground because it is somewhat flexible but robust. Unless you gave it feet, using it as a decoration inside wouldn't be a good idea.

I bought this arch to use at a future wedding. I appreciate the height because we required height for our arch because my son is just over 6 feet tall. By removing one set of bars from each side, we were able to lower the height to a more decorative level.When decorations are added, we discovered that support will be necessary, but this is an easy remedy. One of the bottom legs was a bit bent, therefore I deducted a star. Sincerly, it shouldn't cost any more than it did if proper care is taken throughout setup and breakdown. I wouldn't think twice placing another order from the firm if we required another arch.

The constructed equipment is sufficiently durable for our needs (squash arbor). I didn't anticipate metal to be thicker gauge.
