Holy moly, this stuff is incredible. The last year or so had seen a change in the behavior of my 12-year-old cat. One of my male (fixed) cats is a persistent sprayer and, for lack of a better description, mentally unstable. He sprays around every two minutes and may be extremely unpleasant to deal with because he is prone to struvite crystals and is also full of anxiety and anger. Over the years, I've given him cosequin, l-methionine, special meals, and prescription medications with varying degrees of success. He was first aided by the prozac and other medications from the veterinarian that were comparable, but they all ultimately stopped working completely, so we pulled him off of them. He also stopped eating the special urine diet, so he is now only taking cosequin and l-methionine (with plenty of non fish wet food). Sadly, neither the Duralactin nor anything else I've tried has much decreased his tendency to spray.However, I have seen some good results since adding this to his food, therefore I am giving it a five-star rating. My cat appears less anxious and much more relaxed. While his incessant spraying hasn't improved, he does appear happier and less agitated while taking Duralactin, and any improvement is welcome when dealing with a cat who has such issues. He no longer attacks at random when being petted like he formerly did. I believe that the spraying is a deeply entrenched behavior, therefore I don't hold out much hope that anything will change it. At this point, I also shouldn't anticipate miracles. The fact that Duralactin helps keep anxiety at bay is crucial for the maintenance of his condition because anxiety promotes the growth of crystals. I'm crossing my fingers that it helps to maintain his stable mood.I definitely recommend giving this a try to see if it even somewhat relieves your cat's anxiety and/or medical problems, as it does for mine. Since humans are unable to read their thinking, I suppose that some of the more violent conduct is motivated by pain. Make sense, I get cranky too when I'm hurt! It is definitely worth a shot, at least for the price. Anyone who owns a pet with comparable problems has likely already spent a lot of money at the vet's office, so a few extra dollars are nothing to fuss over.My cat doesn't have any stomach problems, despite what other folks have said. I'm sure it depends on the cat, but mine is perfectly capable of handling it.

I thus purchased GlycoFlex II for both my senior cat and my middle-aged dog.
