When the other reviews warned you'll need muscle to put these on, they weren't joking. The incorrect positioning of the seatbelt cutout was what irritated me the most. extremely low. To be able to draw it down and properly fit that section, I had to make a cut. However, the fabric is of excellent quality!

I hope you have a firm grip if you purchase one of them. To install this, you must have it. It does, however, appear really good afterward. My Jeep has shoulder belts, and the roll bar's top portion was slightly misaligned where the seatbelt mounting nuts were located. The belts rub just enough to prevent them from retracting as quickly as they did before I installed the bar cover, but it isn't a major worry. Additionally, the portion that covered the backward-facing bars was a little bit shorter than ideal. It earns 4 stars as a result.

The padding on the driver's side of the cage needed to be replaced because of all the climbing in and out. Given that the roll cage slides about easily on the bars, it would be preferable if there was something slightly adhesive on the interior of the foam that touches the roll cage itself. The components were eventually zip-tied to the cage, but even then, they are still able to move a few inches on the cage. Still, excellent value for the money!

Moroso Roll Bar Padding
$234
80944 Moroso Rollbar padding that has received SFI approval is attached to the roll bar using double-sided tape. Don't expect soft, comfortable padding; instead, expect solid foam that can absorb a helmet shot to the roll bar. To avoid difficulty when removing the paper, make sure to remove all of the protective paper covering the glue. The second round went much better.

Like all the other reviews have stated, there is a bit more "assembly" than you may have anticipated, and first you may wonder how it will all fit together, but it does. When everything is put together and adjusted, it appears quite uniform. The foam cushioning is sewed into the short front bar covers by the doors as you zip them on. I wish they would simply apply that treatment to each cover. To lay the foam into the remaining covers, simply line up the cut-out holes for the bars and don't worry about any extra hanging out in other places. Everything moves inside as soon as you start to zip it up. When finished, cut off any extra foam at the ends.

I want to start by expressing my gratitude to the Jurassic Park Jeep driver who suggested using gaffer tape. I only skimmed the directions a little bit. According to the directions, lay the fabric flat with the zippers open, insert the foam sheets, line them up, remove the backing from the 3M tape, and attach in place. I substituted blue painter's tape because I didn't have gaffer tape. With the exception of the two foam pieces on the spreader bars, which were already fastened to the fabric, I simply wrapped the foam sheets around the exterior of the roll bars. It wasn't difficult to determine which component placed where. I then applied the fabric after repeatedly wrapping the painter's tape around it to resemble a barbershop pole. After a little mild tugging, zipping up was rather simple. I discovered that each leg piece of the roll bars is actually stacked. So, one begins by zipping the top part from top to bottom, then covers that zipper with the new zippered section until they reach the point where the roll bar fastens to the frame. To reattach, I did need to make a few tiny holes with a leather hole punch past the stitching and zipper.

You can fairly accurately assess the advantages and disadvantages of the cover kit by reading the majority of the reviews. I'll start by noting that it is fairly good for the price. Foam padding is terrible. If the padding is meant to lessen the impact of the roll bar on your melon as you are spinning about, forget it. It looks fine and fills up the cover. It proceeds smoothly. The instructions are essentially useless. The windshield doesn't need to be folded down. Given that Jeep YJs are loaded with these bolts, chances are good that you already own a Torx socket set. If you don't already have a Torx set, Harbor Freight has them at a reasonable price. The windshield support bars (2) can be easily removed with three bolts. For the windshield support bars to fit to the main roll bar, I simply needed to make two little X cuts. A split in the cover or padding lines up with the seat belt bolt holes. Before tugging on the zipper tab after starting the zippers, make sure they are fully seated. Otherwise, the zipper will come apart. The color is a charcoal that is very dark, almost black. Some people have complained that the cover isn't long enough. This is necessary to make room for the seat belt retractors. To hide the exposed bar, I put some tube insulation (see photo).

Purchase your own tape, velcro, or straps because the provided tape is weak and practically useless. Since the foam is so hard, it should be able to protect people in the event of an accident. Even when you use all of your force with a finger, the foam won't give much. This material is not intended to offer "comfort," but rather to lower the chance of fractured bones in an accident. It has the designation SFI 45.1 USI. the exterior "The box's dimensions are roughly 1.25 x 1.75 x 36. The cutout for the bar is approximately 1.5" across and 0.5" deep. The foam is 0.75 inches thick at its thickest point "thick. It can bend to the point where a 90-degree bent bar with a radius no smaller than 6 to 8 inches might fit.
