My motorcycle tyres' bead cracked after two pops, one on each side. This item is incredibly powerful. But keep in mind that you are essentially hammering rubber with a slide. Yes, it WILL bounce. This is not for you if you tend to panic out if your wheels get a little scraped. I don't give much thought to appearances when riding my 20-year-old bicycle.

It works; I removed tires that had a lot of bead sealant from leaks over the years so that I could clean and refinish the wheels. I chose this one because it doesn't need to be mounted to the floor, is compact, portable, and simple to store. To expedite the operation, I utilized a high torque spade handle drill; a ratchet and a regular drill, in my opinion, are not powerful enough. Fortunately, I discovered something useful while removing a tire I intended to replace: be cautious when using this tool for the first few times. Because the pressure point on the tire is so small, if you tighten it up too much, the tire will rip a hole and become worthless. Therefore, tighten to a point for the first three or so efforts, and then on the fourth attempt, you ought to be able to securely break the bead. Make sure the pressing region is against the wheel as well. However, be careful not to overtighten it as this could cause a damage at the wheel bead. The bead did not leak, so I did it once with no consequences. It is not a big deal; nonetheless, so is not great for your wheel to do it. To extend the lifespan of this item, I advise lubricating the bolts. This is for someone who requires a portable bead breaker or someone who doesn't do this every day. This is not very quick to use and is not really appropriate for business use.

I've mostly mounted radial trailer tires using this, though I've also mounted R4 industrial tires on my 4x4 small tractor. This isn't as firmly constructed as a comparable-sized Cheetah that a former company had, and the relief valve activates much sooner, but so far I haven't encountered a tire that it wouldn't seat, and the pricing is fantastic. When dealing with stubborn tires, it usually helps to place a piece of wood under the rim to raise the tire off the ground by the bottom bead. Then, angle the nozzle's tip directly toward the rim at an angle of about 30 to 40 degrees, with the nozzle's "hook" resting on the rim, and quickly open the valve. Goggles and earplugs are essential! Every day of the week, using ratchet straps is superior.

I bought this when I was changing the riding lawn mower's tires. Diesel mechanic who also seated the beads on loader tires, tractors, and truck tires using a lot of air and a little starting fluid. My small volume lawn mower tires simply weren't responding to my techniques. I started searching the shop for a volume tank or an old propane tank to sacrifice so I could quickly make one with welding. I hurried inside to check Amazon on a whim. Cheap price and Prime shipping in two days! I could skip the fabrication procedure and wait the extra two days to mow my yard. It was quite useful to seat those idiot lawn mower tires! I have completed four loader tires, two tractor tires, and a large number of truck tires since getting this a few months ago without using the bead seater. Having said that, the product is excellent!I just used this to break a bead on an old tractor tire; it worked great; I only needed to break it in three places. It appears to be a well-made device, and I want to use it to remove some atv tires next. It's a bit pricy, but the tire shop wanted $100 to replace the tractor tire; now if only they could manufacture some high-quality tire irons!Update on the review: I've been using this for a few months now, and I must say that it's great. Although the tank claims to be excellent to 140 psi, the included blow-off valve lets go somewhere between 100 and 110, as reported in various reviews.Now that I have a 150 psi valve (Amazon ASIN B016DB6030), it functions much better. I use my compressor to fill it to 130 to 135 pounds rather than 150.To seat a 37x12.00x15 Swamper TSL SXII, I used it today. Even then, it required a few tries, but some of those were due to user error or inappropriate approach.However, I took away one star because the supplied safety valve noticeably reduces the bead seater's usefulness.
