Excellent appearance, quick responsiveness, and very accurate. Since I've been using Autometer products, there have never been any issues. I have the corresponding oil pressure gauge nearby. I tested this to 230 degrees, but the standard gauge read the same from 195 to 230! Miatas are known for their temperature and oil pressure gauges. Get the greatest gauges you can afford because they are your engine's life insurance!

fast, precise, and looks amazing. True classic AutoMeter However, I would advise purchasing an LED bulb for it. It was fortunate that it came with the fitting I needed, which made installation simple. Be sure to have tape or thread sealant on hand. The Permatex thread sealant I used is effective. installed in a 1975 Toyota Celica that has a motor produced by the 22R hybrid company and an AutoMeter oil pressure gauge.

Great combination of a gauge and a sender device. The entire unit is quite complete, the gauge is really responsive, and it read exactly what I was expecting it to. The installation process was simple overall thanks to the clear instructions and attachments that were given to help mount the gauge and sender.The illumination is the one drawback to this item. Installing the bulb requires unscrewing the grounding nut since the bulb housing that fits into the back interferes with it. The offered lighting is incandescent, and you may either have conventional white light or modify the color by covering the bulb with a green or red cover. Although this system functions, it is not at all ideal. Only at night or in the evening can you see it because of how dim the illumination is. Although not necessarily a problem, an LED would be a much better choice. I'm purchasing a couple 12V LEDs to replace the bulbs with, which should increase the gauge's brightness and my color options.Overall, a great budget gauge that installs quickly, however the back-lighting could be better. With a little electrical know-how, you can easily make this gauge the equivalent of a unit that costs twice as much. It is acceptable at this price point.

I bought these unsure of whether I would receive a high-quality product, and I was shocked to discover that it was precisely what I had hoped for: a brilliant display that is visible at all times of the day or night, and I even lowered both my temperatures. and tachometer onto the floor of my garage, and they still appear and function flawlessly! Recently fitted on a 1974 Jeep CJ5. Since there was no port that would accommodate the probe, I had to get creative during installation. It's accurate and works like a charm. Keep in mind that the fitting needs to pass through a 3/4" hole in your fire wall.I cannot comment on the durability because I have only been wearing it for a week.

I installed an LS engine into a Jeep Wagoneer using this adaptor. I made use of the #2277 adapter fitting and the Jeep long tip 1/8 NPT sender. This makes it possible to reuse the OEM gauges.To drill the 2277 out for use with the long tip sender, you will want a 5/16 (.312) bit. For a clean, straight cut, use a vice and a hand drill or insert in a drill press. For the brass and bit to remain cool and lubricated, add a few drops of Tap Magic. Take your time during setup; in the event of an off-angle tap, there isn't much more flesh.Important! When the hole is free of debris, insert the 2277 into a bench vice to secure the sender.
