Quadra Fire 2RPM Auger/Feed Motor 812-4421 Review:

Compared to dealing with the store where I bought the stove six years ago, Amazon was quicker and more affordable.I now think the original auger motor that was included with the stove was flawed from the start because it had always produced an odd, grinding sound when operating, which loudness and severity increased with each season. I've wanted to have one for a while, but the price has always intimidated me. I realized it was the end of the line when the auger motor began to screech, clunk, and perform improperly a few weeks ago. The expense suddenly seemed less significant than having heat once again after a few very chilly days (heating is provided by a pellet stove in this location). It arrived quickly and required almost no effort to install. It's all there when you take off the auger motor cover. Getting the auger's allen screw to release its hold on the old motor shaft so I could separate them was the most challenging aspect of the entire changeover. Then the old had to go and the new had to come. If your stove is an older model, the new motor will come with upgraded cables and a bracket; however, mine came with the same bracket and wires, so only the motor needed to be installed. I panicked for a moment thinking the stove hadn't worked when I plugged it in and turned on the thermostat, but then I heard pellets clinking into the pot. I had to use a flashlight to watch the motor rotating inside to convince me that it was indeed operating because it is so incredibly silent. Despite the winter's gloom and frost just outside the door, my house is suddenly toasty and happy again thanks to a fire that went "poof."

BLIKA Garden Auger Power Drill Adapter Fits Drive Hammer Drill, SDS Plus to 1/2-Inch(M13 x 15mm) Thread Keyless Drill Chuck Adapter Round Shank for Impact Driver Review:

I recently received a Hiltex 4 and this adapter "A cutter bit. It works with the Hiltex, seems to be of great quality, and can sustain heavy use, which is what I intended to do. I was not going to attempt to push the hammer drill adapter insert into my pricey Hilti SDS drills and attachments, though, as it is not a typical SDS drive insert. The adapter itself does, however, feature the usual 1/2 - 20 UNF threads for drill chuck installation on the SDS insert. Additionally, it was fairly simple to unscrew. If you want to use this adapter on the Hiltex auger with an SDS plus hammer drill (in the drill mode only), I advise you to also buy a genuine SDS adapter, such as the "uxcell 1/2" Drill Chuck Adapter, SDS Plus to 1/2-Inch(M13 x 15mm) Thread Keyless Drill Chuck Adapter Round Shank for Impact Driver," "Hitachi 725792 SDS Shank to 3-Jaws Drill Chuck Adapt" The uxcell is the most affordable, but it is functional. Finally, considering that the Bilka adapter does not support the use of the reverse (Left Hand) threaded retention screw, you might want to use a cheap SDS insert. That is, I wouldn't hesitate to permanently fix it with the strongest Loctite so that I could use the drill's reverse mode.A second glanceThe auger bit adapter is fantastic, but I was hesitant to give it a five-star rating at first because the one I got lacked a typical SDS Plus drive. Errors in the webpage description led to this. I spoke with Blika about this, and as a result, they updated their description. The ASIN for the SDS Plus version is B07SJ6JD81.

Hipa 3004105 300494 Fuel Filter Fuel Line Kit for Earthquake Tiller/Auger E43 E43CE E43WC 10310 Dually Auger MC43 MD43 DP10P MC43E MC43ECE MC43CE MC43RCE Cultivator WE43 WE43E WE43CE Edger Review:

My neighbor helped me install the kit when I received it today, and the tiller is now operating perfectly. If you cut the ends of the hose at a sharp angle and then pull it through with a set of needle nose pliers, it could be possible to fit it through the grommet. I needed my neighbor because I only have one hand at the moment. He was able to put the pieces together with my help. To have such friendly neighbors is wonderful. He even tilled my garden, and he appeared to be having fun with the tiller, in my opinion.

Clam 109561 Drill Auger Extension - 16" Review:

Although I did not get to use it much because I got it at the conclusion of the 2019 ice fishing season in Northwest Pennsylvania, I did take it out and give it a try. It is mounted on a Milwaukee fuel M-18 with an 8-inch Mora auger, clam plate, and power. For ice that is 20 inches or deeper, it will be useful. There isn't much else I can add; it appears to be well made and performed flawlessly when I used it. I just expanded it to the top two settings, but I believe it would be effective all the way down.

Vendetta Precision Garden Auger Power Drill Adapter - Stainless Steel - Fits Hiltex Review:

Despite its sturdy construction, you still need to allow it some time to cool to prevent the drill and auger from bending. My drill frequently stopped when operating in 105 degree heat, yet the adaptor appeared to be in good condition.

Jisco JL24 Earth Auger, 1-3/4-Inch by 24-Inch Length Review:

The simplest method I've ever discovered for planting cuttings, small trees, or bulbs. Last year, I planted almost 400 bulbs the traditional way—one bulb at a time—using a bulb "digger." It took nearly a week of every free evening, and my hand developed blisters. Then I discovered this amazing auger. I already had a great cordless drill, so replacing the "screwdriver" and installing the auger was really easy. This past week, I drilled holes for the metal fence posts. This past weekend, I installed all the posts, erected a complete section of fence, as well as a new arbor. After that, I planted eight willow trees and dug the holes for the willow cuttings because I still had some time. I spent roughly 4 hours on the jobs in total. I still need to get approximately 30 little fruit trees, bushes, and evergreens, and they should show up soon. In less than a day, I hope to plant them all. Simply drill, insert, tamp, and water in seedlings or tiny trees instead of digging large holes for them. This saves time so significantly that I wish I had discovered one sooner.

PEMS HM-RGM451 Pellet Stove Auger Gear Motor, 1 RPM, 0.51 Amps, 120 V Review:

***I'm keeping the initial critical comment up for anyone else who might be experiencing issues with their PS40 so they can avoid exorbitant repairs and frustrations from symptoms that are comparable. ***No warranty replacement was needed for this guy because he operated smoothly and quietly for a year and three weeks. Instead of chewing through a few stuck-for-pellets, the third gear in the box immediately stripped out.It would occasionally struggle and make a lot of noise while shoving the auger past a pellet or two before going back to its peaceful operation. This time, as it regained traction, the shaft gave way, completely consumed the set screw, and stripped out the gears.*Edit* It turns out that the Winslow PS40 has a problem with sawdust, which caused the bearing on the auger to fail. Loud, frequent banging and moaning noises are symptoms, along with the odd inability to start. The simple motor and worm gear configuration wasn't to blame because it had already driven the set screw through the auger shaft and had no safeguards against overworking itself. I blasted out all the sawdust from the auger bearing and put some graphite lubricant in there, and it runs like a champ. Replacing the auger would have taken 3 weeks and cost $360. The new motor can easily get through the one tough region that hardly hangs up. I advise using solvent-based graphite or dipping some dry powder into some acetone and painting it into the cracks; nevertheless, a light dusting of dry powder should work just fine.
