Traeger Grills HDW152 Grease Bucket for Wood Pellet BBQ, Original Version Review:

Bucket replacement for your Treager. Although the price on this site is above $15, if this is all you want, it is cheaper than on Traeger's website including shipping. Although you might want to shop around for a lesser price, it works if you're in a bind like I was. There is nothing worse than having raccoons eat from your grease bucket.I've also seen a lot of cleaning advice. Although I used a glass mason jar, you can also use coffee filters or the aluminum liners that Traeger sells. Drippings enter immediately and are very simple to clean. Smoke away!

Traeger BAC346 20 Series BBQ Grill Insulation Blanket for Winter Cooking Review:

The fire kept going out on me the first time I tried to grill something on it—pulled pork, which takes a while to cook on the grill. When my husband called the business, they acknowledged that they had that issue. He therefore advised the kind woman on the other end of the line to put something to the hopper to keep it jiggling slightly so that the pellets would keep falling. She stated, "We're working on a solution. My spouse, a technician who enjoys coming up with novel yet simple solutions to mechanical difficulties, said, "I just told you the solution." His trick was to attach an inexpensive, plastic clip-on fan to the hopper and direct the fan downward into the hopper. It moves just slightly due to the fan. He told me that adding air to the hopper "couldn't harm, either."He was correct, too. My only concern was making sure the hopper stayed full while it worked like a charm to keep the temperature nice and even. It now cooks like a pro!

PK Grills PKO-GCAX-X PK Original Grill & Smoker Combination, Graphite Review:

I wish I could give this grill a 7 out of 10 rating; I bought it from Amazon last year. My pastime is barbecue, and the only time I use my oven is to broil fish. I have a pellet barbecue and a Kamado. Regarding those 2 grills, I can't rave about them enough. However, I must admit that my PK Grill is my preferred grill. This grill is ideal whether I'm cooking a few pieces of chicken, hamburger, chops, or hot dogs for myself or only two or three people. Every time I smoke chicken using an indirect setup and apple wood chunks at about 325 degrees, the result is wonderful. Without any issues, the grill maintains its heat. When smoking your meat, you can create a convection air flow by adjusting the top and bottom vents. On the side with the charcoal, you just open the bottom vent, close the top vent, and open the bottom vent, close the top vent, on the side with the meat. You can add that wonderful smoked flavor to everything you're cooking. Great grill in every way!

Classic Accessories 73902 Veranda Grill Cover, Small Review:

I intended to obtain a cover for the Weber Q 3200 after purchasing it. I gambled on this cover because the matching Weber cover was out of stock. I'm pleased I did. In my opinion, the material used to construct this is much more robust than what Weber utilizes to build their covers. The fit is also almost flawless. With the side shelves lowered, it is about 4 inches too wide. If one of the shelves were raised, it would not fit. It has endured the entire summer on my deck, sadly with the added wear and tear of serving as a favorite perch for my two cats as they gaze through my dining room window to observe life inside the home. Although there is a strap that may be wrapped over the wheel and legs to keep it more securely in place, this cover stays on even in windy situations. The best part is that it was incredibly inexpensive when compared to the comparable Weber cover or any other generic cover I discovered on Amazon or locally at retail establishments. I'm delighted with the purchase and heartily endorse the merchandise.

Camp Chef PG24MZG SmokePro Slide Smoker with Fold Down Front Shelf Wood Pellet Grill, Black Review:

My old used gas grill was getting old, so after spending some time researching smokers, I decided my best choice was to get a pellet grill that could do both jobs—grill and smoker—and wouldn't require constant gas bottle refilling. I chose the Camp Chef after reading a variety of evaluations and best-of lists.Who is Camp Chef? Because a few manufacturers, including Camp Chef, are selling pellet grills with the same quality and functionality as well-known top brands for over twice the price. In addition, I required a grill that could maintain a temperature of 160°F since I want to be able to smoke fish so I can make my own finnan haddies. Few grills can achieve that, and several of the most well-known brands in the industry aren't capable of it. Camp Chef is able to and does. Why this specific model of Camp Chef? additional smoking space, a pellet hopper sight-glass and dump chute, a foldable second shelf on the front, and a stainless steel top. (Okay, I also really like the model with the golden finish, but the PG24 doesn't have this particular set of features yet.)Mine had some shipping damage when it got there. One of the cooking grilles was damaged after falling out of its packaging during delivery, and the side shelf was bent. Without hesitation, Camp Chef will replace both under warranty. With the exception of a sizable Philips screwdriver, everything was simple to put together. (A few Allen keys are required; they are provided.) On this grill, there are no visible sheet metal screws; instead, everything is riveted, welded, or, if it needs to be bolted on, the bolts go through swaged-in thread inserts. This equipment is of high grade. And it's sturdy; good heavy gauge metal is used throughout; unlike some goods on the market, this wasn't thrown together from discarded cookie sheets. It will take you between 30 and 60 minutes to build the grill once you have unpacked everything that was sent inside of it. To load it with pellets for the first time, burn off extra manufacturing oil, and fully cure the paint, adhere to the first-use directions in the manual. (For 50 minutes at 350 degrees.) You are then prepared to begin cooking. Make care you read the shutdown cycle portion as well.Keep in mind that you must be able to connect it in because both the control panel and pellet feed require electricity. Think ahead. Wherever you intend to plug it in, it would be wise to install an outdoor GFCI unless you simply intend to run an extension wire out a door. (I guess I shouldn't have to remind you that using this grill indoors is not a good idea.)Additionally, don't count on being able to run the pellets all the way to the sight glass's bottom. Fill up the hopper with pellets if the level is less than half the height of the sight glass. When the pellets are no longer entering the feed auger, they will still be visible in the sight glass.I anticipate I still have a lot to learn about using this grill. But so far, everything seem promising. I have to leave because I need to alter a recipe for jerked baby back ribs.UPDATE: Camp Chef replaced the grille that was harmed during unpacking in addition to the broken side shelf. After I declined the free grill cover because I had already ordered one, they sent me a free set of Camp Chef stainless steel grilling tools. which includes a very SOLID spatula, a sizable spoon, a pair of locking tongs, and a santoku of reasonable quality.Camp Chef, you provide excellent client service.I've already cooked a rack of lamb, three racks of jerked baby back ribs, and half a dozen wagyu burgers on the PG24MZG. Everything went quite smoothly, however I still need to work on my burger skill and the lamb could have used another ten degrees.

Green Mountain Grills Davy Crockett Pellet Grill – WIFI enabled Review:

Since Traeger is the most widely used manufacturer of pellet grills and the Junior Elite is fairly similar in size and price, I shall compare this appliance to it. I previously owned a Traeger Junior Elite, and the Davy Crockett is superior in almost all respects, with the exception of two:The Davy Crockett has a two-year warranty while Traeger has a three-year warranty. They are both produced in China and, as far as we can tell, have a similar build quality. The Traeger has a grill area that is 20 to 25 percent bigger than the Davy Crockett's. Both can accommodate two racks of spare ribs or three racks of babyback ribs, but I do yearn for the Traeger's extra room.Better temperature control on the Davy Crockett enables me to program temperatures that are much more precise (one degree adjustments are feasible) using their app (the control panel allows me to adjust temperatures 5 degrees at a time). By adjusting the auger speed and the fan speed, it uses a PID controller to anticipate and precisely micromanage the temperature. The Traeger only has a thermostat that is set to 25 degree increments, and it struggles to maintain the temperature within 25 degrees of the desired temperature. You may manually operate the Davy Crockett barbecue via the control panel or through an app that lets you keep an eye on and manage the grill. A cloud-based app will soon be available so you can keep an eye on the barbecue from any location with an internet connection, allowing you to run errands or watch your child play baseball while the meat cooks. Additionally, you can design a series of instructions using the app so that your food will smoke for five hours, cook for three hours, and then be kept warm until you're ready to eat.Because the hopper does not always feed the pellets into the auger accurately and the fire in the firepot can die out, this level of management and monitoring is crucial. The Davy Crockett will alert you if the temperature drops and the hopper isn't feeding wood pellets, whereas the Traeger requires regular monitoring of the grill. Another issue is that the auger's pellets can catch fire on occasion. Usually, this is not a problem because the auger spits out the wood pellets before the fire has a chance to spread back into the hopper, but occasionally the fire does (where it appears to die for lack of oxygen) and the temperature rises. If something is awry, the Davy Crockett app will alert you, whereas the Traeger will create damaged meat unless you keep a constant check on the grill (happened to me on a 12 hour smoke of brisket). Smaller units don't seem to be large enough to produce this much space, but larger units can create enough distance between the fire and the auger to prevent this. The Davy Crockett comes with everything you need to power it from your car's battery or electrical plug/cigarette lighter. Its legs can fold into a carry handle, and it comes "tailgate ready." Traeger charges an additional $80 for folding legs in addition to $70 for an inverter to connect the Traeger to your car (but to be fair, the Traeger folding legs are sturdier and generally better than the legs that come with the Davy Crockett). If it rains, the Traeger Junior Elite's hood vents let water to enter. A chimney with a cover is seen on the Davy Crockett. It's not a big concern, but the Traeger's vented hood means that it is far more sensitive to outdoor temperature than the Davy Crockett. If you want to purchase a wood pellet barbecue but are unsure if you want to invest $1,000 or more. You may then start with this one, which is now on sale from your local dealer for $350, and if you really enjoy it, spend the extra money on a larger grill (by which time you'll have gained a lot more knowledge about wood pellet grills). For myself, I have a gas grill for grilling and a gas smoker for smoking, and this one is for tailgating, little cooking, and extra capacity for both.

Smoke Hollow 3500 4-in-1 Combination 3-Burner Gas Grill with Side Burner, Charcoal Grill and Smoker/Firebox Review:

I choose to try despite the unfavorable evaluations after seeing them. easily put together. I coated the smoker connectors with Hi Temp Silicone. After multiple smokes, gas-grilled sides, and charcoal-grilled steaks, the results were excellent. Overall pleased with the buy. (I didn't anticipate a heavy-shelled "pro" model at this cost.)
