There is no definitive answer when it comes to which is better – an automatic pool cover or a fence. It really depends on the individual pool and the surrounding area. An automatic pool cover can offer some advantages in terms of safety, but it is important to make sure that the cover is properly installed and maintained. A fence can also be a effective safety measure, but it is important to make sure that the fence is tall enough and in good repair.
There is no definitive answer to this question as it depends on personal preference. Some people may find that black pool covers absorb heat better, making the pool water warmer, while others may prefer the aesthetic of a blue pool cover. Ultimately, it is up to the individual to decide which type of pool cover is best for them.
Most pool safety covers on the market are made of durable mesh material that can support the weight of several adults. They are also designed to fit snugly over the pool so that there are no gaps for a child to slip through. While pool safety covers are not foolproof, they can be a helpful layer of protection against drowning. They are also relatively affordable, so they are worth considering if you have young children and want to give yourself some peace of mind while they are swimming.
A dog can fall through a pool cover if it is not properly secured. It is important to make sure that the pool cover is properly anchored to the deck or ground around the pool.

This cover just barely fit our pool, which has a 24 foot circumference. I was hoping the overhang would be longer based on the reviews, and in one reviewer's photo it did appear that way. However, that reviewer had an Intel pool, whereas mine is a Hayward with a very broad top rail, so next year I'll buy the cover for a 28 foot pool in its place. Because cleaning and storing a pool cover takes a lot of effort, experience has taught me to get a new one every year, regardless of how expensive they are. Additionally, I advise using "Saran wrap," water bags, and pool clamps to prevent the cover from blowing off. I'll add a star if this cover survives until May of the following year. Due to the inadequate overhang and the tightening ratchet breaking when we tried to carefully remove the cable and replace it, I only awarded it three stars. created very cheaply. Thankfully, I had an extra ratchet.added a star in the edits! This cover never lifted even in very strong winds! Even with the pool bags, clips, and plastic wrap-around, the less expensive cover I purchased last year (from the same company) was always lifting and flapping in the breeze. The water was therefore filthy when I removed the cover in the spring. Lesson learned: for windy places, getting a stronger gauge cover is the best option!

I have only used this for a few months in my hot tub, which is covered by a pool cover, but so far it has held up well in strong winds, rain, and temperatures of 112 degrees in North Texas. It's significantly bigger than I anticipated, but that's fantastic! I fully inflated it, and it has just slightly deflated since then—not enough for me to need to blow it back up just yet. I tried placing it squarely in the centre of my hot tub, but it occasionally still slides slightly to the side. I'm confident it was a simple typo on my side. Great product all around; I'd buy it again!

Over time, we've had more expensive covers that cost double or more but only lasted two years before failing. Every year, I put on a brand-new one of these. For one season, it works perfectly. We rip this off, fold it, and toss it in the trash when we're ready to open. I could spend three or four times as much money and obtain a cover that will last three or four years, but it isn't worth the small amount of plastic I'll save or the time I'll save. Simply put, this is a huge sprawlmart tarp that will suit your pool. It's just not worth wrangling with old covers only to have them look like crap and fail early on for approximately $50 a year, which is about 66 cents a day if you look at the entire season.Based on performance and value, this receives a 4 star rating for 1 season.I'd be surprised if it could still be identified as a pool cover after 8 seasons.lol.

I purchased this a few weeks ago. I wasn't sure if this would work or not because reviews appear to be divided on whether it works for them or not. This has made me VERY happy. The past couple of weeks have seen some fairly good windy days, and every single clip has remained in place. I gave myself around 3 clips each part by separating each one by 6 to 12 inches (2 on the shorter curves). It has been doing well even though I only ordered 20 and just placed them on the edge that is subject to the strongest wind. They are all still there despite the fact that today was extremely windy, rainy, and hailous.

In a nutshell, they do work. They aren't as big as I anticipated based on the seller's photographs. They are therefore not extremely weighty. The caps largely function. Although they are difficult to seal, they often hold water well. If they were simple to close, tolerances would be too loose, not because I struggled so much and didn't completely seal them. The male and female seals had to be crammed together using a dull phillips head screwdriver. When the male side was in and flatly aligned with the female side on a couple, it wasn't enough, and I had to stomp them in.Being in a windy area, I should have ordered twice as many. The breeze is still causing my cover to move because these aren't all that heavy even when filled to about 70%. They can't be completely filled because otherwise they would burst when the water freezes and expands. So remember that.. Instead of purchasing more of these, I've started adding large rocks. The frustration I experienced using these and maintaining the cover adjustment has persuaded me to do the morally right thing and simply go out and purchase a good "anchored" safety cover for the upcoming season. There is actually nothing wrong or harmful about these. Most of the time, they follow through on their promises.

Quality no-leak valves

Made of full 18-gauge material
33% heavier than other water tubes
Easy to fill

To secure the end of my 18 x 33-foot pool where it meets the deck, I bought the five of these. The caps were a little challenging to close, but they seem to hold well. I was able to fill them all as directed. No leaks were found, and it appears like they kept the cover securely in place during the most recent couple of downpours. We won't know for sure until spring.Update: They are still there and just as full of water as when I placed them down, six months and numerous snowstorms later. Additionally, the cover is kept in place beneath them. Since they are no longer frozen, I'm delaying opening the lid while the rest of the food thaws.

The size suits my needs for a 24' round pool and is convenient. I use four of them to hold up a leaf net, and they work nicely when they are spaced apart. To maintain proper alignment, I did build a PVC frame, and I had to add grommets to one corner of each pillow so that it could be attached to the frame. The two grommets on each pillow are located in the opposite corners. For the purpose I am using them, four grommets (one on each corner) would be excellent rather than only two on the same side. appears quite sturdy and maintains inflation.
If you live in an area with freezing winters, it's not a good idea to leave your pool uncovered all winter. The water in your pool can freeze, which can damage the pool and make it unsafe to use.
A pool safety cover is a great alternative to a fence around your pool. It will provide a barrier to keep children and animals out of the pool area, and it can also be used to help keep the pool clean.
No, you cannot run the pump with the pool cover on. The pool cover will block the intake of the pump and the water will not be able to circulate.
Sure! A pool safety cover is designed to support the weight of an adult, so you can definitely walk on one. Just be careful not to slip – the surface can be slippery when wet.
Most pool safety covers are designed to allow water to pass through them while still providing a barrier to keep people and animals out of the pool. While the amount of water that can pass through a pool safety cover will vary depending on the design, most can accommodate up to several inches of rain per hour without allowing water to flood the pool.
A safety pool cover can last anywhere from 5 to 10 years. The average pool cover will last about 7 years with proper care and maintenance.
