My kid plays the saxophone, and I had purchased for him a really fine neck strap with padding and a brass connection hook to match his brass sax. However, it turned out that the brass hook constantly makes touch with his Yamaha saxophone, as hooks do, and was actually damaging the instrument. I advised him to go on Amazon and search for what he needed. He found this strap and noticed that it had a protective sleeve over the hook to prevent scratching your instrument. He says he absolutely loves it and that the hook no longer scratches his sax. Therefore, save your money, especially if you have a nice, expensive sax, and stay away from fancy straps with hooks that do not have a protective sleeve over them. Anybody and everyone should get this strap, in my opinion. If I had to point out a drawback, it would be that when it first arrived, two seams didn't have thread that extended all the way to the end of the material. As a result, two little corners kind of stuck up and were a little scratchy on his neck. However, after gluing them down with some fabric glue, it has since become soft. And it's likely that this was just a single incidence.

For the area that wraps around the back of the neck, it has particularly thick neoprene, a thick nylon band on the exterior, and lighter nylon webbing that descends to the hook. Additionally, the hook is strong and appears as though it won't leave go of your priceless instrument in an unfavorable moment. Please take note that there are three different hook styles and lengths available for this. I favor the positive spring-loaded closure of this black plastic swivel hook over open designs. Also, utilize plastic over metal because bare metal will eventually wear down the clip ring on your instrument. My 1928 tenor is affected by this friction, which has worn down the ring to the point where it will need to be repaired. It appears that the previous owner utilized a metal clip or hook.I purchased the usual length, and I value the enough adjustment because I occasionally need to switch instruments quickly. In one performance, I used five different instruments—not all of them saxophones that needed a neck strap. In any case, this is a great strap, and I'm delighted dependable Amazon has it for a reasonable price.

The sheepskin suede saxophone strap my son has is AMAZING! His neck no longer aches as much from the traditional saxophone strap he was using before. He appreciates that his saxophone blends in with the others in his section and that the dark blue hue doesn't stick out. The item is true to its description.

The saxophone neck strap is quite great!Because it is well cushioned, wearing it around your neck will be comfy. The section that hooks onto the saxophone closes, which makes it so it won't come off of the instrument when you are holding it on your lap, and it is simple to adjust. This strap incorporates a spring-loaded clip instead of the open hook that most straps have that easily slides off. Any kind of saxophone or other instrument that needs a strap that clips on can use it.In addition to being fashionable, I appreciate how the pad that wraps around your neck is a vibrant color. In my more than 40 years of saxophone playing, this is among the greatest straps I've ever seen. If you want a new strap or just want something that won't irritate your neck while you play, I would definitely advise getting this.I received a discount on this item in exchange for an unbiased evaluation, which is the only kind of review I will post. As a beginner, I bought a low-quality Glory tenor sax. To utilize it, I had to create a cord that extended the connection point because the neck strap that came with it was too short. Additionally, it was only a tiny bit of webbing, making it uncomfortable. It was also challenging for me to change the length.Based on those issues, I ordered this one. The XL length, broader foam portion, and improved length adjustment all appealed to me.I've been using it for about a month, and I can tell that overall, the neck strap is comfy, so that's a success. I could also delete the cord I put to the attachment point because it is long enough. It falls short in terms of adaptability. Compared to the subpar one that came with the sax, it is unquestionably simpler to adjust, but I still find it challenging to make precise adjustments. Perhaps with practice, it will become simpler, but I believe there are more effective ways out there. The endurance of the connector is another concern I have. It's made of some sort of nylon or plastic, which isn't entirely horrible but makes it feel a little little. I'm concerned that it will deteriorate over time. Perhaps I'm overreacting and everything will be alright. It is long and comfortable, therefore I would suggest it for someone who is tall. Unless I manage to find a recommendation for something long, comfortable, and adjustable, I'll probably wear this for a long time.

Due of wrist strain, I purchased this for my clarinet, and it has been fantastic! When I play, my wrist and thumb no longer hurt. The strap also feels soft and comfortable around my neck.Although the locking mechanism is effective, I prefer to leave it unlocked while playing because I walk about a lot. This may be adjusted very easily and effectively with just one finger! The length can be adjusted by simply pushing the adjustment up or down.It is not at all too short for a standard clarinet, unless you are 10 feet tall. The tab and hook that attach it to the clarinet were something I wasn't sure about, but when it arrived, the tab fit nicely over the thumb rest and the hook slips in and out effortlessly while still being secure while I'm playing.Although it doesn't appear particularly fancy, it functions incredibly well.

No grievances. Fits perfectly on my son's Jupiter bass clarinet, which has a strap-attachment loop. Make sure you are purchasing the appropriate type for your instrument because his prior bass clarinet had 2 smaller loops that were designed for a strap with 2 hooks. With ability to adjust for size, this strap perfectly accommodates his stocky body and 5'10" height. Most kids and adults, in my opinion, could wear it. The neoprene strap is quite cosy. He's only been using it for about a month, so I can't speak to how long it will last, but at this price, we'll be happy if we get six months out of it.

Although it's nicely constructed and unquestionably robust enough to handle a sax securely, I don't believe the fit is ideal for me. The length adjustment component is a little odd and the neoprene pad is a little wide, making it challenging to change the strap while wearing the saxophone over your neck. The upper straps flop and tangle when you adjust the length due to the flat design's tendency to open them. Additionally, I can't manage to arrange the padding on my neck in a way that is comfortable because to how wide it is. With its sturdy straps and plush neoprene cushioning, the strap is good overall.UPDATEI decided to test it out and see if it was any better after discovering an old neck strap in my wardrobe. My old neckstrap's pad is smaller and lighter, but after experimenting, I quickly saw the advantages of the Neotech strap. Although it could be a little more challenging to adjust, the lay flat shape prevents the plastic adjustor from sitting on or striking your body as you move your sax. Furthermore, I was unaware of how much better the weight distribution was made possible by the thick cushioning.
