I've been using this product in my 1998 Ford Explorer XLT, which has a V6 engine and an automatic transmission, for many years. It works precisely as it should with posi-traction differentials, which call for a limited slip additive. Depending on usage and mileage, differentials need maintenance every two to three years (3-5). As the oil thickens and turns black, it's time for rear end service. After the rear end cover has been removed, drain and clean the engine before replacing the cover's gasket and sealing the differential. I insert a tube of this material and add 3 quarts of the synthetic gear oil that is suggested for your automobile or truck, filling the container until lubricant begins to spill out of the fill hole. I've never experienced any issues; there haven't been any leaks, noises, or shuttering; it's always been a pleasant ride with something so basic and uncomplicated as part of routine maintenance every few years. A 1996 Nissan Altima with 140k miles was given to me. It didn't shift the quickest, and even though it could be driven, you had to be delicate with it since it wasn't responsive, didn't shift right away, occasionally went clunk, and occasionally would slip. It was in really bad shape because the previous owner hadn't maintained it properly, but it was free and it ran.It was remarkable how much it improved after I added some of this items; it was quieter, moved much better, and drove much better. I could floor it and felt some real power. After another 20k or so miles, I had the fluid replaced. Around 160k, it began to malfunction once more, so I poured more of this, which quieted everything down and made everything function perfectly. Finally, at 188k miles (still using the original transmission), it started to develop serious problems that suggested mechanical breakdown.If it is noisy or shifts poorly, this definitely made a noticeable difference, but it won't fix something that is mechanically damaged. You could want to install this, drive it for a few hundred miles, then perform a flush and filter replacement if it has a high mileage, is poorly maintained, and has more serious faults but is still mechanically sound. That was even more amazing to me, and in the end, it gave me an additional 44k miles and two additional years.

I've used extend transmission and oil treatment for more than 20 years and I love it. Every time I replace the fluid in any of my vehicles, I apply this additive. the rationale. Every time I changed the oil in my 1994 Honda Accord, I used the Prolong oil additive. When my wife returned from work in 1998, she informed me that there was a lot of oil on the ground beneath the car. She said that it was just enough for her to have noticed it before she stepped in it when I questioned how much. Why didn't you call me when I noticed the oil level was completely empty? I questioned my wife. She said that she did believe it was that severe and that she had no problems. She drove nearly 10 miles home rather than asking me to come pick her up. Well, I had anticipated a seized engine. The main seal failed, draining all the oil, the Honda dealer told me after I had it towed there. They subsequently questioned what else I utilized in my car. Why, I asked? The maintenance manager assured me that the engine had not sustained any additional damage and that if my wife had driven the vehicle as long as she did, the engine should have skewed. I informed him that the only thing I do differently with each oil change is use Prolong. He advised me to continue using it and inquired about the source of my Prolong. I paid nothing for the repair because the main seal was covered by a recall. Thank you, Prolong; I shall always use this product.

The Subaru Outback we have is a 2006 model and has a six-cylinder engine and a five-speed automated transmission. When we purchased it, it had an unusual 1-2 shift. a little chit-chat, if you will. We changed the transmission fluid and filter initially, but that did not resolve the issue. We decided to try this product after reading reviews and discussion threads online. We took out the amount of fluid that is recommended based on your capacity. The TSE was subsequently added, and we got behind the wheel. It doesn't work properly; in fact, it took some time before I suddenly recognized that the chatter had stopped one day. It probably works better that it moves slowly because if it moved quickly, it would have to be aggressive, which would harm the transmission seals. Thousands of miles have been placed on the car, and it still runs well. The remainder will be used in my 1965 Oldsmobile Starfire, which still has its original, 54-year-old Turbo 400.

According to everything I've read or heard about the Pilot, the transmission is the weak link in a sturdy car. It is simple to overlook the tranny; we routinely check our engine oil, air filter, and other maintenance items, but we often overlook the Pilot's most crucial component! The trouble is, when you "replace" the fluid on the transmission, you're only changing only around 3.2 quarts out of the 8 or so quarts the unit contains, contrary to Honda's recommendation of a 30,000 mile service interval.In my situation, I went to "replace" the fluid after purchasing the car and was disappointed to see that it had turned out pretty dark. I've now done this three times to get the fluid to look more or less clean. The fluid should appear nice and clean one more time this summer, in my opinion. To keep an eye on it visually and make sure it looks okay, I'll probably drain and fill it once a year going forward.The good news is that it's a quick process that only takes 45 minutes tops, most of which is spent letting fluid drain. Before the cleaner fluid, the transmission shifted smoothly, but now it shifts like butter.There is absolutely no excuse not to begin replacing the transmission fluid in your Honda right away because it is simple, inexpensive, and vital to the longevity of your vehicle because these gearboxes are very expensive to replace. Swap it out. It might need to be cleaned a few times.Whatever you do, avoid having the item flushed because this is a surefire method to end your tyranny. Use only Honda ATF, of course.

My 2003 BMW 540iA Steptronic transmission had very harsh downshifts and jerky, delayed upshifts (ZF 5HP-24A). After much investigation, I came to the conclusion that FME had made the right choice in choosing this as a cheap alternative to the problematic "Lifetime" fluid (104k ) problem. I only did a single drain (without a filter or pan) and then refilled, starting with LiquiMoly and finishing with Redline. Both my upshifts and downshifts are now buttery smooth. In order to get a smooth refresh of about 90%, I'll run another 2k or so before making the final 2x modification. Friendly reminder: If you need to fill the transmission, remember to do it with the engine running and the transmission in park. When I had the track on my 1996 Polaris Xlt touring sled replaced, the shop that did it commented on the condition of the gears in the chain case and how the reverse gear looked like new despite the snowmobile having 7500 miles on it. I had previously used this product in the blister pack on my snowmobiles' chain cases. I started doing this in 2010, and my Sled has since traveled around 9000 miles. I help maintain my vehicles by using Xado products, Amsoil interceptor, and chain case lube. When my wife informed me that the 2.5 liter V6 engine in our 1995 Dodge Stratus ES was creating a rattling noise, I used Xado for the first time back in 2007. Nothing was on the oil dip stick when I tested the oil. I soon discovered that the OEM oil pressure sender had sprung a leak after adding oil. I changed the oil with synthetic Amsoil after going to Napa and observed that the oil light would flicker while the engine was idling once it warmed up. I visited a mechanic, who advised me that it is possible that running the engine without oil caused me to spin a connecting rod or main bearing. He replied that the fact that I use Amsoil probably kept the engine from locking up when I told him that I do. He recommended Lucas, which does help to some extent in avoiding the oil light from blinking continuously while the engine is running. I found Xado online and decided to try it; after the second tube out of the three blisters, the oil light flicker was permanently gone. After that, we continued to drive the car for another two years before selling it, and the check oil light continued to be off. I have a 2003 Hyundai Elantra with over 400,000 miles on the original, never-been-rebuilt engine and transmission. I'm not sure if it's entirely the Amsoil or if it's a combination of both Amsoil synthetic and Xado, but the car still runs well and the transmission shifts very well. I also use Amsoil ATF, which I recently did a drain and fill on. Even after replacing the DCT gear grease in my Fiesta as preventive maintenance, I installed it. Since replacing the fluid and inserting the 120 gear Xado gear revitalize, I've noticed a fuel economy improvement of roughly 1 mpg. The 2012 Ford Fiesta SE gets good gas mileage, so I decided it would be cheap insurance. I'll see whether it helps to extend the life of the car, even with Ford's subpar DCT 6 speed automatic manual transmission. I acquired the car used in 2014 and was happy with the $10,000 price and 40 mpg fuel economy. I considered purchasing a Prius, but the cost of a comparable used Prius for a model year and 24,000 miles was over 7000 dollars higher than the Fiesta. Working out really good so far.

When I first complained about this product, the leak in my golf cart's rear axle was getting worse because I had installed it there. When I contacted the manufacturer, they were unable to explain why it would make things worse. It leaked all over my drive while the granddaughter was driving it around and wasn't paying attention that it was spilling all over, so I wasn't very thrilled about that. So I ordered them to stop operating it. I let them drive it again after letting it lay for a week or two. It did not leak again, I promise. I continued inspecting it in hopes of spotting droplets, but there were none. Maybe I should have taken it out in the yard and driven it more at first. However, I got in touch with the manufacturer and told them the complete situation because I believe that if I'm going to complain about something, I should also be willing to give them credit when something works out well.
