Yes, you can MIG weld without gas, but the quality of the weld will be poor. The weld will be very porous and will not have the same strength as a weld that was done with gas.
Yes, you can use solid wire without gas. However, it is not as effective as using gas.
Weld wire does not expire, but it may become brittle and break if it is not stored properly.
No matter what you are welding, the quality of your welding wire matters. Cheap welding wire is often made of lower quality metals that will not weld as well and can cause problems with your welds. It is always better to spend a little extra on high quality welding wire to ensure that your welds are strong and look great.

Item was ideal for adding another (nearly) 40 feet to my 50-foot welder line. It is similarly sized to a garden hose in diameter and is heavily jacketed, as stated by another reviewer. The male and female ends appear to be quite sturdy and high-quality. My welder and outlet connected to both ends securely but smoothly. Without exerting too much effort, I was able to remove the connectors from the welder and wall outlet; jiggling the connectors back and forth seemed to work. With my Fluke 75 multimeter, I found that the extension cord's end-to-end resistance was incredibly low on all of the conductors, and I obtained the same results as if I had just shorted the probes together. It would have been good to have illuminated ends on both sides (it only lights up at the female end). I also would have loved a brighter light because it can be difficult to tell if the lit end is lit up in direct sunlight. The extension chord was roughly 0.5 feet less than the claimed 40 feet, according to my measurements.Yes, sir, I like the summary.

For far over 20 years, I've been welding and fabricating. possess an associate's degree in science in welding. I've worked in a variety of disciplines, including government contractors (Raytheon), NASA projects, WSMR projects, mom-and-pop shops, custom fab shops, farm and ranch welding, oil fields, high-end aircraft maintenance and fabrication, and more (Navy). I have experience. I made the plunge and switched to a white collar career years ago (BSME), so now I solely weld for fun. This is pretty darn good wire, in my expert opinion. It is excellent for any DIY or farming activity. I purchased this in order to erect a pipe fence around my property. With posts placed every eight feet, one spool was sufficient for 200 feet of top rail. I am using a Millermatic 211 welder with a 230V MVP plug. In all positions, including uphill, downhill, and overhead, the wire behaved quite effectively. Here are some pointers for new welders or those who claim to have problems or poor flux core bead appearance.1. Verify that your polarity is accurate. Direct Current Electrode Negative (DCEN) is required for flux core, which is the polarity that is commonly used for solid wire MIG welding. Do not hold the wire manufacturer responsible if you don't alter your polarity. The process is quite simple. Just go through the manual that comes with your device.Prepare your base metals, step 2. If you used a torch to cut your components, take the time to use a chipping hammer and grinder to remove ALL of the slag. Trust me, the appearance of your weld will much benefit from doing this.3.) Your weld will be stronger and more attractive from a cosmetic and strength standpoint the better the "fit" between your two components. Don't worry excessively about the butt joint gap. Since you are a beginner, there shouldn't be much, if any, of a gap. You inquire, "What if my metal is thick? Bevel the edges rather than using a gap if the metal is thick. Reason? Because you lack the necessary competence and responsibility to make PJP or CJP structural welds, the question of whether there should be a gap is irrelevant to novice welders. Your chances of getting a weld bead that looks excellent are increased by a bevel joint because it allows for adequate penetration and offers more surface area to "retain" the bead. Additionally, it will be more durable than a tight butt joint that lacks a gap and a bevel.4. Spend some time cleaning and grinding the metal near the part you are welding. From the joint's edge and along its entire length, softly grind a strip about 1/2" wide down to clean metal. Yes, when it comes to "dirty" base metal, fluxcore is a little more forgiving than solid MIG wire, but don't be careless. Spend some time. Simple cleanup can make a big difference. You'll become a better welder if you take your time and adhere to steps 1-4.With this wire, you can make nice welds even if I've lost some flexibility in my welding hand as a result of a broken wrist from many years ago. even on pipe from an old oil field. I've included some images of what you may anticipate using this wire.

Had been using INETUB till I discovered this online for almost the same price. Thinking it would be beneficial to try it out because I had a Forney welder, I decided to do so. I discovered that it was just as excellent as or even better than the INETUB BA71TGS.030 that I had been using. Would advise against using it with any welder, especially if you have a Forney.P.S. To avoid wire sticking to or clogging the tip, I also suggest using 0.035 tips if you use 0.030 flux core MIG wire. Contact Suggestions is recommended for common tips. I've now purchased several spools of this wire and am extremely happy with it. I've used numerous brands throughout the years, and I've only seen them get worse when companies started taking short cuts.Because the wire is evenly wound on the spool, it feeds without jerking. No feed issues because of variations in wire diameter. Don't purchase any of the less expensive brands because of this issue! When I originally purchased this Inefil wire, I was apprehensive about the pricing since I thought it would be a subpar product that wouldn't feed properly. They disproved my claims.I use this with plain CO2 on a Miller Passport. It starts off nicely, penetrates well, wets well, and leaves a spotless weld. The last spool of Inefil wire I purchased and am currently using on my machine seems to weld even better than the prior ones. After 50 years of welding, I can notice small improvements in my welding. I once heard that Inefil alters their wire whenever they can make it better, and I think they have done just that.As much as I'd like to say this wire is bad in order to discourage my competitors from purchasing it, I simply can't. A positive review belongs on a good product. In order to avoid running out and having to settle for what is offered nearby, I make sure to always have an additional one on hand.

ADVICE: Be careful with these; if you muck around, you risk harming yourself. These are harsh wire brushes, not soft ones, and they were designed specifically to polish tempered metal, not thin metal or other materials. One will stab you if you grab it incorrectly. So take care.My faux-antique kitchen cabinet knobs looked brand new when I used these to polish them; they are now so brilliant and bright it's crazy. They removed debris that had been baked onto the surfaces for YEARS when I used them to clean the interior of my oven and the top of my stove. I used these brass brushes to remove years—probably ten—worth of filth that had been "permanently" burned onto items. Additionally, they removed years' worth of rust, grime, and scuffs from the garage door hardware, the security chain on the front door, and door hinges, giving everything a brand-new appearance. These bad boys are a great investment if you have metal items that need to be restored or beautified.

The Lincoln 125HD is my device. I enjoy making little works of art out of scrap metal as a pastime. This typically entails cutting down 1/8" angle iron on the cheap in order to create a larger flat piece, which requires a significant amount of welding and grinding. Although I'd say that most.030-size wire, including that from Harbor Freight, Lincoln, and a few other brands, is of roughly the same grade, this has amazed me. I was ecstatic this afternoon thanks to the clean tip, good ground, clean steel, and machine settings. I've already used a significant portion of this roll and recently placed an order for another one, if that tells anything.

First of all, I ordered this wire from this vendor because I am a Prime member. My wire arrived the next Friday after placing my order on a Friday (The same day I got my welder in the mail). Being a Prime Member, this took longer than I anticipated, but it worked out that I received it the same day as the welder.Regarding the wire, I am overjoyed. I have no problems with it because it does its job. I'm at a loss for words, lol. It could be beneficial or bad. It's decent, and I couldn't find a better deal anywhere. However, it appears that they increased the price as soon as I purchased the final two that they had available. In either case, the current pricing is still very favorable. Buy it. If you're a prime member, just don't anticipate getting it right away.

(Edit: Seller showed great concern for the consistency of the goods, awarding 2 stars for both the product and the excellent assistance!) I detest giving poor ratings, however I just have a little experience brazing aluminum. I needed to prepare for a minor job out of town, so I bought this product and Forney Easy Flow. I started with this product since I thought it would function better and it had a smaller diameter. Using a stainless brush and cleaning the area with map gas, the region was cleaned both before and during the welding process. It would not dissolve! actually began to melt the base metal. Immediately weld after switching to the forney and dragging it across the welding surface. Until it was held up to the flame directly, this product would not melt. In fact, it was utilized to fill a wider gap. It has a melting point that is undoubtedly higher—almost as high as aluminum.
Welding wire is a type of wire used in welding. It is made of a variety of metals, including stainless steel, aluminum, and copper. Welding wire is used to create an electrical arc between the two pieces of metal being joined. The arc melts the metal, which allows the two pieces to be joined together. Welding wire is available in a variety of thicknesses, which determines the strength of the weld.
.035 wire is a great option for welding thicker metal. It can weld metal that is up to 3/8 inch thick. This wire is also great for welding in difficult positions.
No, all welding wire is not the same. The type of wire you use depends on the type of welding you are doing. For example, if you are welding aluminum, you would use a different wire than if you were welding steel.
Yes, there is definitely a difference in welding wire. The two main types of welding wire are solid wire and flux-cored wire. Solid wire is made of metal, and flux-cored wire has a core of flux. The type of welding wire you use depends on the type of welding you are doing.
MIG welding, also known as gas metal arc welding, is a welding process that uses an electric arc to heat the metal and an inert gas to shield it from contamination. There are three types of MIG welding: short circuit, globular, and spray. Short circuit MIG welding is the most common type. It is used for welding thin metals, such as sheet metal. The arc is short and the metal melts quickly. Globular MIG welding is used for thicker metals, such as pipes. The arc is longer and the metal melts more
MIG stands for Metal Inert Gas. It is a type of welding that uses an inert gas to protect the weld area from contamination.
