Since I started using synthetic winch cables in 2006, they have never let me down. Nothing special about this wire. I used this cable in place of the steel cable that was included with my ATV's winch. Since the synthetic cables do not cause splinters, I no longer need to worry about whether I have leather gloves on hand to handle the steel cable. They seem to offer the same strength with better flexibility, in my opinion. I simply cut the ends off, seal the end, and create a new loop as the ends become frayed with time and use.

I only purchased this as a backup for my 1/4" rope cable because it didn't quite go through the roller hole on my ATV winch. Although it appears to be nicely crafted, I hope I never have to use it. I'm merely leaving a review in case anyone else thinks about doing the same thing for winch roller holes that simply won't fit the Chinese "1/4" diameter cable rope and has to modify the rope's end to fasten it.
