Yes, you can clean your vehicle's exhaust gas temperature sensor, but it's important to know how and when to do so. If your sensor is caked with soot or debris, it can cause your vehicle to run less efficiently and produce more emissions. A clogged sensor can also lead to engine damage. Cleaning your sensor is a relatively simple process, but it's important to follow the manufacturer's instructions. You'll need to remove the sensor from the exhaust system and clean it with a wire brush or other tool. Once it's clean, you can reinstall it and reset
You can clean O2 sensors, but it's not always necessary. If your O2 sensor is covered in grime or oil, it may not be able to accurately measure the oxygen levels in your exhaust. A professional mechanic can clean your O2 sensor and test it to see if it's working properly.
If your EGR pressure sensor is bad, you may notice one or more of the following symptoms: -The engine may run rough or stall -The engine may produce black smoke -The engine may have reduced power -The engine may produce a check engine light
If your EGT sensor is bad, you'll likely see one or more of the following symptoms: -The check engine light will come on -The engine will run lean -The engine will run rich -The engine will misfire -The engine will have decreased power

I-Joy was a really good seller to purchase from after Amazon shipped my first item incorrectly. Installation of the EBP sensor was quick and simple. After being installed, the part fit properly, gave my vehicle and turbo more power, and stopped my compressor from surging at 22 lbs of boost. Since I replaced the EBP sensor with this component, the check engine light was reset, and the code has not tripped since.

lmao. This works like a charm. Please excuse my French. But it does function. One of them was too long for my needs, but I was able to slant the cut and reweld it so that it is now the right angle, and waala! My GMC Sierra 1500 is a 2000 model. Only the two sensors before the cat converter need to have these installed out of the four that it has. Therefore, you will need them if you intend to cut yours out like I have.

My 1997 F150 4.6, which had been throwing the code P0402, had this installed.Within ten minutes of it arriving, we had it installed and were driving. For a few minutes, disconnect the battery to reset the CEL. For around 20 minutes of driving, CEL didn't appear. Just wait and see if it holds out now.If/when it fails, I will update this review. Even if you don't read anything, it still functions.

Engine choked out while moving down the road at a high rpm and made a turbo leak sound. After discovering the tube to be corroded and blocked, this sensor and tube were changed. The rpm problem has been resolved, and there is no sign of a turbo leak.

My car's aftermarket bullet cats occasionally produced low efficiency codes. (O2 downstream/rear sensors. These were installed, and testing with my GM Tech2 revealed that they were assisting the O2 sensors in obtaining more accurate data. I've just had a few opportunities to drive, but I'll update if anything changes. Other from that, a 90-degree angle during installation was helpful, although things were still a little tight. Jam nuts on the units helped me position them.
If your vehicle is equipped with an oxygen sensor, also known as an O2 sensor, it is important to keep it in good working condition. These sensors monitor the exhaust gases coming from the engine to determine the air-fuel mixture. A rich mixture will result in a higher voltage, while a lean mixture will result in a lower voltage. If the sensor is not working properly, it can cause the engine to run lean or rich, which can lead to decreased fuel economy and increased emissions. In some cases, it may be necessary to reset the O2 sensor. To
There are four exhaust gas temperature sensors.
An exhaust sensor is a device that measures the composition of exhaust gases. The most common type of exhaust sensor is the oxygen sensor. Oxygen sensors are used in petrol and diesel engines to help control the air-fuel mixture. The sensor produces a voltage that is proportional to the amount of oxygen in the exhaust gas.
An exhaust temperature sensor is a very important sensor in any vehicle. It is responsible for monitoring the temperature of the exhaust gases coming out of the engine. If the exhaust gases are too hot, it can cause damage to the engine.
Exhaust gas temperature (EGT) is one of the most important parameters to monitor when tuning an engine. It is a measure of the temperature of the gases exiting the engine, and as such is an indirect measure of the combustion temperature within the cylinders. The ideal combustion temperature is around 2,500°F (1,371°C), but this will vary depending on the fuel being used and the engine design. EGT will be affected by a number of factors, such as air/fuel ratio, ignition timing, boost pressure, and engine load. Getting the EGT
P0544 is a diagnostic trouble code (DTC) for "Exhaust Gas Temperature Sensor Circuit High Bank 1 Sensor 1". This can happen for multiple reasons and a mechanic needs to diagnose the specific cause for this code to be triggered in your vehicle.
