It is the Ford Motor Company replacement, which also fits specific years of the Nissan Quest and some Mercury Villager vehicles (mine is a 1999).Both the colour and the actual pattern are different (black is used in place of mottled grey). Don't be surprised by that. The bulb is securely held in place and fits well. Importantly, the replacement wasn't a crumbly, dried-out piece of plastic. The originals are likely to break in your hand at the worst possible time, as mine did, so I would advise replacing both at once.both an improvement and a replacement.

My car and a deer just collided in an accident. Fortunately, only my car's headlights were damaged. Since there was no blood on the car and sheriffs were told of the incident, I assume the dear made it out okay. Because of the force of the contact, one of my retaining clips was broken, and another was damaged. These performed admirably for my car and had the same OEM appearance as the two white clips. The purpose of the black ones is unknown. The new headlight assembly made them a touch snug, but that might have been because it was an aftermarket part or because the housing in my car was slightly bent.Overall, these performed as intended and effectively. My only complaint is that the other two retainer clips were thrown away, therefore I wish they had supplied all four of the identical retention clips.

I intended to replace my awful halogen bulbs, but they included a black spacer that prevented me from installing an LED since the metal retainer ring presses up against it to hold the bulb in place.So this small black spacer addition is great and does what it's supposed to do. The main issue is that getting the ring to push against the driver-side headlight takes more effort.You must be careful where the ring rests on this spacer because the sides are thinner than the center. The passenger side is unaffected.Keep in mind that the usual rubber dust covers cannot be used. You must purchase an aftermarket. I chose one that is upside down so the fan can protrude and the LED can operate at operational temperatures.good purchase It didn't require any sanding at all. Though slightly smaller than OEM, the pillars or sticks won't affect installation.

My 1999 F250 Super Duty pickup recently received a set of Dorman HELP! 42415 Headlamp Bulb Retainer rings to help with the installation of a pair of 9007 LED headlight bulbs. The bulbs were packaged in a housing with an electrical pigtail protruding from the back and a small cooling fan in the back. Because it is around 2 1/2" long, the stock bulb holding ring would not fit over the cooling fan. Instead of attempting to cut the 20-year-old fragile plastic retaining rings, I chose to acquire the Dorman rings. The last thing I wanted was for the modification to fail and leave my truck unable to be used for nighttime drive.The following day, the rings I had ordered were in my possession. I appreciate Amazon Prime. The factory rings are about half as long as the Dorman rings. Installation was quick and easy, taking around ten minutes. I disconnected the electrical harness from the existing headlight after opening the hood, turned the retaining ring 1/4 turn counterclockwise, and took out the old halogen bulb. I put the fresh LED bulb in the Dorman ring until it clicked into place before putting it in the housing of the headlamp. The new ring was installed by giving it a quarter turn in the clockwise direction and connecting the electrical pigtail.The Dorman rings are constructed of durable plastic and have a really robust feel. They are marked to show that they are compatible with both 9004 and 9007 bulbs. Overall, I'm really happy with the product's quality, cost, and simplicity of installation. I've always had good luck with Dorman products, and I have no doubt that these retaining rings will be no different. Highly advised.

murky, but This really does work! This works well with the H7 lowbeams on my 2013 Hyundai Genesis Coupe. Look up Victor Gabriel on YouTube if you need a reference; he has a lesson on how to install it on the GC. "Auxbeam F-S2 Series H7 Headlight Conversion Kit 72W 8000 lumens - Pure White 6500K" LEDs were the ones I used.Thank you GZXY for a quality product!It's crucial to remember that the two tabs holding the led bulb in place might be easily destroyed. I overtightened one of the tabs keeping the bulb in place, and it broke (Resolved by superglueing it back). In case you guys didn't know, the two vertical tabs are literally what keeps it firmly in place. It merits the price. You have to be careful not to break them, which is the only reason I didn't give it five stars. If there are any, I promise to let you know, but if not, the product is still in great working order as of this writing.

Fit flawlessly on my Mercedes ML350. These were once utilized by me to hold LED lights inside, however the projector lens rendered them useless. I only withheld five stars because of a manufacturing problem. If the adaptor could attach to the bulb retainer, that would be nice. It was difficult to hold two parts together and get them properly seated and aligned. VW is primarily to fault for the headlight change's derision, though. The front bumper and grill assembly must be removed in order to properly replace the headlights. Therefore, any new challenge is amplified. like attempting to install two loose pieces while holding them together.Once inside, though, the adapters fit and perform admirably.

2008 VW Rabbit (Golf Mk V)Although it worked, locking it into place required a lot of twisting. Could use a handle or at the very least a screwdriver notch. Additionally, they didn't "click" into place the way the OEM component does, so it took some trial and error until they were installed properly.Due to the LED being a little thicker than the sheet metal collar on ordinary lights, I had to use an X-acto knife to trim the small plastic columns that the bulb sits on.The rubber guards that cover the wiring clips are easily removed. The silicone has to be applied to each.Take the headlight out and gently work on it in your lap, else you risk breaking something.Upgrading to LED bulbs was a challenging undertaking, but these components made it possible.
