On an SV650 and a DL650, I mounded tires with this product. When I spoon on tires, it places the tire bead directly in the center of the rim for ease of installation.The item does fit snugly against the rim lip and latches on until you unlock it.It will sit there contently as a third hand holing the bead in the center of the rim if you simply soap it up like the rest of the tire.

Although it isn't as robust as a vintage commercial grade manual tire changer, it is fully useable with a little caution. I got it to replace one that was very similar to it that I had for a number of years before the main tube finally rusted through. I fastened it with bolts to an abandoned semi-truck brake drum by the garage, where it remains exposed to the elements. Being able to change tires on rims and repair my own tires is really convenient. I believe this one will outlive me. It's crucial to properly bolt them down. These are perfect for the home shop, but there are a few tips to utilizing a manual changer like this, and some tires can be a pain. After breaking the bead on the old tire and before reinstalling the patched or new tire on the rim, add a little dish soap as lubricant. I am happy I did. I'd give it five stars, but when utilizing these changers, one should be mindful that bending parts can occur if too much force is applied.

We fix a lot of flats because we have six semis that generally travel on dirt roads. I had previously estimated comparable equipment to cost over $400, so when I discovered this set for a little over $100, I had to order.The three prong comes first. Step on the tool to break the bead and push it between the tire and wheel. The outside is off when you pry it up. The next step first requires some finesse. The top lip must be inserted within the tire (once you try it, you'll understand what I mean). You'll feel it happen when it does. The tire is removed with one more pry up. after you have the knack for it, takes around 15 seconds.The second component is the pry tool. It actually performs better with the lip than my preferred spoon. had a good length for leverage and an excellent angle.Overall, I regret not purchasing these sooner. Considering how inexpensive they were, I was concerned that they wouldn't be very good. More than two or three tires needing repair or replacement will be compensated. Additionally, your time is much reduced. I believed that, with a few spoons, I could change a tire in three to five minutes. Now, if everything goes according to plan, I can probably finish it in 1.Use of lube is absolutely beneficial. We use murphy's or soapy water.

To remove a tire off a riding lawnmower so I could add an inner tube, I utilized these tools. They were VERY sturdy, and even under intense strain, they did not bend or shatter, as I discovered. With the exception of automotive tires, which they are not designed for, they might be used to remove the majority of tubeless tires from their rims. Excellent valve tool and extra valve seats are included in case you need them.The plastic rim shields that came with the set were criticized by one of the reviewers. I tossed those items out right away because I never used them. The best solution, in my experience, is to cover the tire bead and rim edges with silicon spray before mounting the wheels. I also sprayed the tube I was placing in my situation well. When you first inflate the tire, it helps the tube unfurl inside the tire without creating binding or potential damage.I'm quite happy with my buy all around.

For many years, I mounted tyres and utilised this lube bottle on various tyre machines. This is what led me to choose to buy this lubricant bottle because it was the norm on many of the machines I had previously used and it consistently functioned well with a lubricant brush. It doesn't flex like a cheap water bottle, thus the wall thickness appears to be acceptable. Similar to the one my grand father used more than 50 years ago, it is created today.
