The factory bolts were perfectly replaced by these bolts. There was no need to get out the Loctite because the tread lock material was already on the bolts. The bolts on the 3.4-liter Buick engine are torque and angular rotation bolts, and they should only be used once. These were ideal for torqueing the base half of the intake manifold, which is necessary for it to yield. Since you actually can't twist the end bolts because of how the manifold is designed, you could probably get away with using only half of these bolts. This applies to the top bolts as well. The original equipment bolts matched perfectly in terms of fit and length.

Amazingly, you cannot even order these from your neighborhood Autoparts store; at least, not where I live. Good thing Amazon had them. When my son dropped one of the original ones down into the engine compartment (not into the engine itself), we used them on the upper intake manifold of his 2001 Ford Taurus with the DOHC V6 when we were unable to locate it. Numerous websites, including Amazon, specifically mention these should be used in the Windstar and do not suit the Taurus (see picture). Even though they appear slightly different, they fit wonderfully. The rubber component is green rather than black like the OEM, and the bolt is white metal rather than brass, but they both functioned!Hope this was of some use. If so, please select "Helpful" from the list below.

I bought these to use with my 1998 Chevrolet C1500's replacement intake manifold gaskets. When removing the manifold, it is advised to replace the bolts. The new bolts are designed to seal to prevent coolant leaks from the bolts that go into the coolant reservoirs and come with the thredlock. Because I also utilised the felpro gasket kit, I bought these bolts. I haven't actually discovered any gaskets that are manufactured better than those from the reputed company Felpro. Because the bolts are manufactured in China, I only awarded them four rather than five stars.

My Subaru Impreza Outback Sport from 2003. At the point where the catalytic converter's outlet flange connects to the resonator assembly, I utilized this as well as a new gasket.Due to the old gasket's severe deterioration, there was a significant and bothersome exhaust leak (sound, vibration, smell). I used these as the spring bolts and a Walker gasket to replace the old ones. Because the rusty bolts/nuts were rounded, it was difficult to remove them, but vice grips and a lot of penetrating oil made it possible. The old gasket broke apart in my hands. These bolts and the replacement gasket fit together well. I coated the threads with anti-seize. My only complaint is that the seal isn't flawless. The car now runs smoothly, free of the noise and vibration, but when I put my ear up against the flange at idle, I detected a small leak by hearing a very faint hissing sound.I'm not sure whether this is typical, but some exhaust hardware compound and washers on the bolt will likely help seal it. I feel like adding a washer under the nut could slightly tighten up the seal since when I tightened the nut on, it bottomed out on the threads. Since the resonator and catalytic converter components are roughly half an inch apart without the bolts, they are pulled together by these bolts.I do realize that the pipe joint should be flexible at this point, which is why there are spring bolts, but I also think it could be advantageous to add a washer or two to further enclose the flanges.Overall, if not exactly, it fits near to precisely.

Thankfully, the box included 4 regular bolts and 5 stud bolts, since the fifth stud bolt is necessary. The product illustration on Amazon shows 4 extra long stud bolts (the studs used to install heat shield) and 5 smaller standard bolts.
