UPDATE: March 2018 has arrived. My trailer has had eternabond on it for almost two years, and all the sections where I applied it are still in great shape. No leaks or breaches. Because of how useful this information is, I have up the rating from 4 to 5.A 1999 Northwood Nash travel trailer belongs to me. I'm not aware of any leaks, but I can see that the roof has some troublesome areas, particularly the front and back seams and the areas surrounding the front and back corners.I looked several other approaches to handle this. The majority of experts would likely advise taking the seam apart, etc., and resealing it. I can't currently be realistic about it. There are no leaks at the moment, but I want to fix some problematic old caulk work that are close to failing around the gutter and the front and back seams.I started by examining numerous images of what other individuals had created using Eternabond tape. That was useful. The Eternabond company also produced a YouTube video that explained how to use it. That was also beneficial because it inspired me to utilize the utility knife. I should also use my fingertips rather than the roller. In the Eternabond video, the person applies pressure with his fingers rather than a roller, and he cuts the tape with a tool knife. Although there isn't a lot of useful information available about utilizing it, there are plenty of images and some good YouTube videos. None, in my opinion, adequately handle the lancing issue.Another crucial feature of the utility knife is its ease of use for easily lancing any air bubbles or "tents" that may form after applying the Eternabond. It is easier to locate these air pockets that can be lanced so that the microsealant can be applied completely when you apply pressure with your fingers smoothly. The information on the Eternabond website about popping air bubbles with a pin and how to "tent" was also very helpful to me. As it demonstrates, the only thing that matters is to lance it, smooth it over, and apply another layer if necessary or to make it look prettier where it bubbles or tents.I'm going to skip forward to the photographs because I'm totally new to this and might be doing something incorrectly.My first observation was the problem region by the back rear where the caulking was deteriorating and appeared to be a place where water could collect. I gave this area priority as a result. I didn't want to hide up the gutter or the rubber strip that runs alongside it because they are in excellent condition.I made the place ready and primed it. I opted to prime it the old-fashioned way until I could buy some Eternaprime brand primer, so I thoroughly scrubbed the area with dish soap until it was as clean as it could be using dish soap. I next lightly outlined the area where I would be placing the tape and roughed up the surface with some sandpaper. I promptly wiped some acetone over the area after applying it. This works very well for priming old caulk. It is beneficial to reveal a "sticky" layer of the old caulk that does appear when you scrape or prime portions of it. Be aware that your trailer's paint will also be removed by the acetone. The strips I was planning to use were then pre-measured, pre-cut, and I planned exactly where I would position them. I took my time and only ever used strips that were 8 inches long. More than that, in my opinion, makes it challenging to manage and concentrate on exerting pressure on every each detail.When I applied the eternabond tape, I essentially placed it above where I wanted it (with the back peeled off) and directed it by putting it as flatly as I could while letting it sort of fall into position by gravity. Once it was flat, I proceeded to press on the sealant while pushing out all the tents and air bubbles from the center out. Having a clean, sharp tool knife on hand to lance tents and air bubbles was incredibly helpful. You must exercise extreme caution when using that utility knife since, as you are well aware, doing so could cause damage to your rubber roof. However, I chose one since it was the most effective.*UPDATE: I purchased Eternaprime primer, and it was by far the best product to use to prepare the surface for the tape.This is not a how-to manual because I'm not sure if I'm using it correctly, but it seems to work very well after applying some logic and viewing several tutorial videos. I just added more tape where it was necessary, as instructed on Eternabond's website, in the parts where I had to lance tents or air bubbles.I used:scissors to cut the tape with that are lovely and sharp (clean scissors as necessary with acetone if they get gunked)Useful knife (clean with acetone if it gets gunked)Acetone as previously mentioneddish soap as previously mentionedmy fingertips to apply pressure on the surface to ensure adhesion (not the roller)Since the gutter and the black rubber are both in good shape and have no breaches, I purposefully chose not to cover them with tape in this instance.The other three corners of the trailer and the front and back seams will be completed by me, however I'll wait for the Eternaprime to finish the full seam. To test whether it would be a workable solution to deal with the failing caulk around this location, I decided to start with this corner.

On both my automobile and my wife's car, I used CMX, and the results were strange. see image When I sprayed CMX on the automobile and then wiped it to a haze but didn't entirely remove it, I ended up with little white beads. About two minutes later, I started wiping CMX until the haze was gone. Strangely, though, the product started to strangely create white small beads after letting it dry (but not totally wiping off) (possibly residual). What a hassle when these beads fell into all the window nooks, etc. It's comparable to when you have terrible wax that kicks up dust. To remove the bead from the cracks, I had to use a can of pressurized air. I reasoned that hazing would improve CMX's ability to adhere to the paint. After cleaning the beads, I retested and applied CMX before wiping them totally dry. Not a bead.I'm awaiting the rain to observe how it beads and how Bead Maker fare against it. Bead Maker is smoother so far, and I believe it gives my automobiles a glossier appearance than CMX. However, CMX ought to hold up better than Bead Maker if the YouTube videos are accurate.CMX has no fragrance, as well. It applies milky and is quickly removed. There are no problems with cleaning microfiber towels later.3/1/19 - Second UpdateUsing CMX, water beading is remarkable. Wife drove home after leaving her car in an outside parking lot in the rain all day; it appeared to be almost dry! Car appears to have just been washed. Even after applying and shaking CMX, little white beads continue to appear. After spraying it off and immediately wiping it off, I believe it to be residue. I believe that CMX evaporates on a towel and produces tiny white bead particles that fall onto the automobile, similar to how compound or polish leaves behind residual dust. Excellent stuff for quick touch-ups and sealants after weekly car washes. The results are flawless when I combine this product with others. I use this to touch up on weekly washes after having my car clayed, sealed with Arelon, and recently given a ceramic coating. The automobile simply stays incredibly clean and shiny thanks to this stuff! Additionally, water bead off of it, and certain road grime appears to be repelled by it. As someone who has lived in New Jersey for the past few weeks, I have to tell that this trend continues! Driving through a snowstorm for more than two hours, across salt- and slush-covered roads, and the car was still beading water profusely. Only the bottom portion of my side doors was beginning to look a bit dirty, so the next day I brought it to a self-serve pressure wash to rinse the salt off the car. Without doing a complete wash or dry, just rinse and go, the car looked just as clean. Here is a picture of the car after it has been washed. As you can see, there is still snow on the ground, but the car looks gorgeous!Revision: August 2018 Now that summer has arrived and I've been using this product continuously since I bought the car in January 2018, I have to admit that it is still by far my favorite. When the weather is nice, I wash my car by hand once a week or, if it gets nasty, twice a month every other week. I wash the car quickly, depending on how dirty it is, and I've been using Meguiar's wax as you dry. This solution helps me touch up after the car has dried, keeping it appearing clean for a very long time and preventing contamination from building up in the paint. The automobile has only been clayed twice. Once immediately following the arduous winter to remove all the road grime and salt so I could prepare it for spring. However, because to the excessive pollen this year, I completed a full detail in June and have only done a fast wash and touch-up since then. You won't be let down, I promise; it's a little expensive, but well worth it! I used it on all of my cars!



Chemical Guys WAC_808_16 Hybrid V7 Optical Select High Gloss Spray Sealant and Quick Detailer (16 oz) Review:


AMAZING shine This is NOT a rapid detailer, though. Along with other rapid detailers, I also have CG P40.Advantages: This produces the best shine and is simple to use (it does require some minor buffing). It is much brighter than p40. Every week, I wash my car and immediately apply a detailer. In general, my wife stays silent. She used this and then declared: "What the hell were you using on the car? To view it, I'll need sunglasses." It works!Cons: Despite being promoted as a "quick detailer," this is the worst one I've ever used, which is the only reason I awarded it 4 stars. This chemical simply spreads around even a few days' worth of dust on your car, leaving steaks everywhere. I've used other other quick detailers that can get rid of several days' worth of dust and leave a sparkling clean surface. As a rapid detailer, this material is woefully inadequate.Overall: I use this to offer a wonderful shine and a bit extra protection after my weekly wash. This is not something I use now and I never will as a quick detailer in between washes.

I have been driving my brand-new, black automobile in the harsh Florida weather for a few weeks now—rain, then scorching heat, plus salt air. It regularly appeared unclean, so I knew the finish needed to be protected. I washed and dried the car, then used compound/polish to cover minor swirl marks and bird dropping damage. Finally, I used Jet Seal and CG's Black Light (all by hand). I quickly became aware of the paint's rich, smooth gloss and texture. Overnight, the car sat to heal.I navigated construction zones, fog, and mist as I made my way to work this morning. My car wasn't only dry; it was also pristine when I stepped out, which made me speechless. Amazing! Only mine was dry and clean when I compared it to the other cars in the parking lot. The automobiles near mine had wetness on them after a few hours and additional foggy weather. nevertheless, not my automobile! Like many others, I value financial savings greatly. Instead of going to a shop where they will probably advise me to purchase a new windshield, I'd rather spend about $6 trying something. Anyhow, we purchased a small cash automobile for a friend that was generally in decent condition, but on the day of the purchase, we discovered the windshield had a leak from the rain. Permatex was suggested as the best alternative for sealing after research.This isn't your normal silicone, folks. It's pretty runny, but for this application that's not a bad thing. You require something that can fit into tight spaces. I was a little cautious when I applied for the first time. It was ineffective. The second time, I made the stupid mistake of going crazy and making sure I had enough to fill everything. To further force it into the opening, I reapplied the rubber gasket on top of it when it was still not fully cured. waited for the product to cure for a further 24 hours. Then use a high-pressure hose to spray it, and presto! No further leaks.This would be my suggestion for smaller leaks. A complete reseal of the windshield or replacement may be required for significant issues, in my opinion. Not that you couldn't use it, but make sure to get a few tubes. Additionally, if it doesn't work the first time, give it another shot by filling again. Since this silicone flows, it might pass through some bigger openings and initially fail to completely seal them.



Mirror Shine - Super Gloss Wax & Sealant Hybrid Spray by Torque Detail - Superior Shine & Professional Detailer Protection - Quickly Applies in Minutes, Each Coat Last Months - 16oz Bottle Review:


I bought this product in an effort to discover a less labor-intensive alternative to regular wax for my cars. I've been using Zymol wax since it applies far more easily than any other wax I've previously used. Because of this, you have to use it a bit more regularly than you would with other waxes, but I've always thought this was a fair trade-off. I conducted a significant lot of research and discovered a number of spray-on products with respectable reviews, but this one always received the highest marks for application simplicity and overall shine. Although it is a bit more expensive than some of the alternatives, I chose to give it a shot because of all the positive reviews. The simplicity of application is by far superior to any wax I've used, I first noted. On a Nissan Murano with a lot of body line surfaces, start to finish took less than 30 minutes. What I found most amazing was that after only spraying the solution on, rubbing it on with a towel, and then quickly rubbing with a clean towel, it appeared as though I had been polishing it with the buffer for hours. Definitely really impressive results. After that, I did take the orbital buffer out and give the entire vehicle a quick once-over, which took another 15 minutes. The car currently has the appearance of having just left the assembly line. (See attached photo) I don't know how long it will last until another treatment is needed, but considering how simple it is to apply, even if it just lasts a few months, it still seems like a far better option than traditional waxing.

303 SiO2 Based Touchless Sealant for Paint, Glass, Wheels (30394CSR), 32oz Review:


Update: 303 is harder than I anticipated. I used industrial degreaser that I had diluted to 50% to wash the hood, roof, and trunk. When the protection was first removed, the water sheeted, so I cleaned the area with an IP solution (isopropyl alcohol water mix). The rain started before I could install the sport stripes, and within minutes, my roof was wet and once more beading water, indicating that it was not yet ready for racing stripes. The 303 polymer protectant is more resilient than anticipated and well worth the cost. As of today, April 9, 2019, the degreaser and IP solution were applied, followed by rain. still beads, though not as well as before.I shocked myself and posted excellent reviews about the results I got from using Meguiar's hybrid ceramic wax. More than just surprising me, 303 astounded me. I wash my Mustang once a week at 5:30 in the morning to remove dust and water stains caused by the daily rain. I work near an airport, and every time a plane flies low over me, the remnants of the jet blast cover my car within a day. Meguiar's did a fantastic job, however I was only spared from having to see my car unclean for a few more days. Meguiar's was surpassed by 303 in that way, and it also requires less application effort. It was washed on Monday and now appears cleaner than MHCW. If Amazon posts the video with my post, which they haven't done with any of my prior evaluations, it will be of today while it poured.
