If you're off-road a lot, bash plates are definitely worth it. They protect your engine and other vulnerable parts of your vehicle from rocks, stumps, and other obstacles. They can also help prevent damage from water crossings.
Yes, you can take your skid plate off. There are four bolts that hold it on, two in the front and two in the back. You will need a ratchet and a socket to remove them. Once the bolts are removed, the skid plate will come off.
You can zip tie your skid plate, but it's not the best idea. The zip ties will eventually break and your skid plate will fall off. It's better to use bolts or screws to attach your skid plate.
If you frequently take your Jeep off-roading, then a skid plate is a wise investment. Skid plates protect your Jeep's underbody from rocks, stumps, and other debris that can cause serious damage. They also help to prevent your Jeep from getting hung up on obstacles.

Because it did not specify that it fits the JJKFB032 bumper I have on my 2019 JLU Rubicon, I reluctantly made the purchase. It mounts to the frame smoothly and fit the JLU flawlessly. The underside's breadth and angle were both exact matches for the JJKFB032 bumper's angle.Compared to the previous sheet metal on the Rubicon, it is nearly three times thicker.

My 2014 Toyota Tacoma TRD Sport has only recently had this product fitted. Make sure you have the right tools before you begin to remove the front bolts from the installed undercarriage plate. Since mine were so tight, I had to remove and round the bolts. To solve this, I had to utilize some power tools. Other than that hiccup, installation took ten minutes. I love how it looks on my black Tacoma. The matte silver accent is nice, and the truck is better protected as a result. This plate is ideal for my everyday driving vehicle because it is not made for extreme off-roading. This product arrived on schedule (2 days) in a 14-pound certified Toyota box. If you're looking for a quick DIY to give your truck a completely new look, I would unquestionably advise purchasing.

The Warrior diamond plate gas tank cover was something I had previously bought to go with other diamond plate accessories I had installed on my Wrangler. But as I was getting ready to put the cover on, I noticed that the original skid plate had rusted. Because I have a 15 gallon tank, I had bought the 15 gallon diamond plate cover. The 15 gallon skid plate was out of stock when I started shopping for a replacement. When I contacted Warrior for assistance because I had already bought a 15 gallon diamond plate cover from them, they replied in writing that I could use the 90710-20 gallon skid plate and that the Warrior 15 gallon diamond plate cover would still fit over it. I went ahead and bought the aforementioned skid plate even though I wasn't sure. Well, the Warrior engineers were entirely correct. My 1995 Jeep Wrangler's diamond plate cover that I had first bought from Warrior easily fit over the brand-new Warrior skid plate! The rust is gone, and it looks fantastic! Well done, Warrior!

Backbone from Body Armor 4x4 is an essential accessory to have for your Jeep

Very nice and well-made piece of equipment. It serves as both protection for the hitch/bumper on steep departures as well as a step to reach the top box or basket on the roof. In order for it to fit more snugly against the bumper on my '18 4Runner, I agree with Casey's opinion that it should insert farther into the receiver. The spare tire would otherwise interfere and prevent it from getting into the closest position, so I had to slightly lower it and swing it forward to even get it into the tightest setting. This would unquestionably be a 5/5 with a shorter stinger and an additional hole for the hitch pin.

Excellent protection, although a little challenging to install due to the outer holes being too small to fit any socket into (you also can't use a conventional wrench, by design). The rear one I had purchased also had the same issue. To fit the screws into the diff cover, I had to slightly enlarge the exterior holes using a Dremmel. Moreover, the damaged "U" bolt I received in the box (threads smashed a little). I got in touch with the seller to ask whether it might be replaced, but a month later, I still haven't heard anything. As of right now, I am still unable to install the U bolt in any way. The skid is on, though, and it still feels reasonably sturdy and tough, but I will be a little worried because it is not mounted properly. I suppose we will see.4 ratings are being deducted for the necessary grinding and the seller's current lack of response.I included images showing how it is maintained. Although they come in black and have a fantastic polish, I did paint my red. The color won't matter if they function properly because it will be scraped off anyway:)

Very pleased with the purchase. I'M DISAPPOINTED WITH FED EX AND WHOEVER PACKAGED THIS ITEM. According to the markings on the box's outside, it is 1 of 2 packages. Given that both parts were in ONE box, this was a mistake. Even though everything arrived as expected, I am not especially pleased with the confusion the labeling generated.
If your car has a plastic piece under it, you may be wondering if you need it. The answer is that it depends on the car and the purpose of the plastic piece. In some cases, the plastic piece serves as a skid plate, which helps protect the underside of the car from damage. In other cases, the plastic piece may be there for cosmetic reasons. If you're not sure why your car has a plastic piece under it, you can ask your mechanic or dealer.
Skid plates are designed to protect the undercarriage of a vehicle from damage caused by rocks, logs, and other debris that may be encountered while driving off-road. While skid plates can offer some protection from salt and other corrosive materials, they are not designed to be a complete barrier. Salt can cause corrosion and rusting of the metal components of a skid plate, which can eventually lead to failure. For this reason, it is important to inspect skid plates regularly for signs of wear and to repair or replace them as necessary.
No, you do not have to remove the skid plate to change the oil.
Skid plates are designed to protect the underside of a vehicle from damage caused by rocks, logs, and other obstacles. However, they can also be damaged by these same obstacles. The most common type of damage is a dent or hole in the plate. This can be caused by a rock or log hitting the plate, or by the plate scraping against a hard surface.
Skid plates are an essential piece of equipment for any off-roading vehicle. They provide protection to the underbody of the vehicle from rocks and other debris that can be kicked up while driving. Skid plates can be made from a variety of materials, but steel is the most common. The cost of installing a skid plate will vary depending on the material and the size of the vehicle. For a small vehicle, a steel skid plate can cost as little as $50. For a larger vehicle, the cost can be closer to $200.
If you need to replace your plastic skid plate, it will cost you anywhere from $30 to $200. The price will depend on the make and model of your car, as well as the quality of the replacement skid plate. If you have a high-end car, you can expect to pay closer to $200. However, if you have a more budget-friendly car, you can probably find a replacement skid plate for around $30.
