This is the ideal fit for a 2013 Honda Fit sport. The filter in my fit was situated on the gearbox just beneath the battery box, therefore you only need to remove the battery and the positive connecting post, but not the tray, contrary to several videos I saw that instructed me to do so because it was below the battery box and tray.You also need to remove the air intake assembly, which just requires a few bolts, a sensor connector, and a steel air tube. Once the main clamp around the throttle body is loosened, you can pull the assembly out by angling the right side to the rear and pulling forward.The filter can then be readily viewed and changed. It is secured in place by two pinch-type clamps, a metal bracket holder, and a 10mm bolt.Tip 1. Remove the front clamp that is closest to you before removing the filter clamp since doing so makes it simple to draw the hose out. You'll have easier access to the rear hose to remove once that hose has been disconnected, so loosen the clamp. Before fastening the last hose, I placed the filter onto the back hose and filled it with a few ounces of brand-new Honda tranny fluid.I thought that since it's a passive filter, the pressure shouldn't be too high. However, make sure that the hose clamps are tight and that the hose is put all the way in.Just to be sure, keep an eye out for leaks for a few days after.I didn't detect any shifting differences, but that's actually excellent because it means the transmission wasn't being affected before it was replaced. It is the principle behind preventative maintenance.However, if you are a shade tree mechanic and want to save a few hundred dollars at the dealer, it is worth the cost.

Perfect filter fit. also a gasket. I removed the pan from my FJ Cruiser transmission, cleaned the inside, replaced the new filter, installed the gasket, buttoned the pan back up, and then I drained the tranny. One end fits over the funnel end of an automatic transmission. I leave the hood open and fasten the funnel to the hood clasp. Three liters of Toyota WS tractor fluid were added. I start the FJ at idle after pulling the cooler's f3d end. As it empties the torque converter's old fluid into a container through the open Tobe that leads to the cooler, I add a quart. While I add fluid, I let it run and pump. I turn it off, connect the line, restart it, and add more fluid when the fluid being pumped out appears new, clean, and fresh. I turn it off and stop adding fluid when it begins to leak out of the fill hole. until it stops, letting the liquid flow into a container. I switch out the fill plug and examine each level. It would be much better to flush all the trash into the torque converter and transmission.

suited my needs wonderfully. Except for the transmission fluid, everything needed to change the transmission fluid and filter was included. Beware! The connecting tube of the filter is encircled by a rubber O ring. The O ring will be present even if you can't see it on your old filter or in the container that holds the new filter. Make sure to use the new O ring that you may find. You don't want two O rings up there, so make sure the old O ring comes out when you remove the old filter. Don't be the idiot that fails to properly torque the bolts when replacing the transmission pan, as well. You run the danger of losing the bolts, stripping the aluminum engine block's threads, or not tightening the bolts tightly enough. Torque the bolts to 67 inches per second, or roughly 5.5 foot pounds, for a Toyota Rav4. Although it's not complicated, you should do it correctly if you want to avoid issues.

had the transmission fluid changed by a nearby store. The fact that they left the filter alone astonished me. The shop was technically correct in not replacing the filter because Subaru does not have a recommended replacement period for it, but because I did have 140,000 miles on my car, I chose to replace the filter.This filter can be changed more easily than the oil filter. After removing the filter, I weighed it and compared it to the new filter because removing this filter did remove some fluid. I added 6 ounces of AT fluid to make up for the fact that the old, "wet" filter weighed around 6 ounces more than the new, "dry" filter. I'm not sure if it was essential, but then again, Subaru claims that changing the filter was not required. This is not a replacement for routine AT fluid changes.

I replaced the 2006 Honda Civic by myself. How annoying and frustrating it was. To access it, the complete intake box and intake manifold had to be removed. The hoses leading to the filter were then securely fused on after that. The task was not enjoyable.Filter performs its function as an exact OEM replacement. I can already sense that the shifts feel smoother after a few miles of driving. With 184k miles on it, I was still using the factory filter, so that's probably why. With new fluid to go along with this, I won't have to worry about my transmission breaking down anytime soon.Although getting there is difficult, if you have the correct equipment, it should only take a half-hour or so.A 10 mm ratchet, a large extension (I may have needed two), needle-nose vice grips, and a pry tool were the instruments I used to remove the lines because they were glued on.I advise removing the intake hose and removing the single 10 mm bolt holding the throttle cable in place.For reference, I've included a photo of the old factory filter with the new filter installed in its new location.

This suited my 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited 4.7 Lt Power Tech HO well. It is for a deep pan and has an automatic 5-45RFE transmission, quadra-drive, and 4x4. Make sure you have one or more large containers, since mine drained 9 qts. Once the pan has been drained (mine has no drain plug:) do this gently, at the greatest clear angle for draining. also underneath cardboard With one hand supporting the pan, loosen screws on the side you want the water to drain to the most. When the water starts to slow down, loosen the screws even further. Let drain, wipe clean, then remove filters (the more you can drain before having to remove pan, the better). Make that the primary oil filter seal in the oil pump is removed. Install the primary filter AFTER installing the new seal, making sure it goes in straight (seat with a socket that fits and a rubber mallet), and then remove the old seal by using a flat screwdriver or hook to snag the inside lip across and pop/pull it out. If you don't want leaks, don't install the seal and the primary filter simultaneously. The cooler filter should be 125 inch pounds tight, and the primary filter should be 40 inch pounds. Remember to thoroughly clean the pan, replace the magnet, attach the other screws, ensuring sure the gasket is where it needs to be, and tighten them in a star-shaped pattern to 105 inch pounds. Set the gasket on the pan and make sure the holes are lined up with them. (around 10 foot pounds)
