These ramps are great. Since there is nothing to collapse, they are solid, thus I am not concerned that they will collapse like the majority of other ramp designs. They are quite easy to handle and carry around because they are lightweight. There is much more space to work on items thanks to the front part's removal. They are made of foam and are basically covered in bedliner material, so the weather doesn't affect them (I left a car sitting on them outside all winter once). I can finally pull my low-ground-clearance automobiles up on them because they are lengthy and have a gentle slope. I can drive up on these and then use a floor jack to lift the car higher in the air for tasks like removing a transmission on my 1995 Caprice and 2004 Grand Marquis, where the front overhang and lower air dam make it difficult to get a standard floor jack beneath to the front crossmember. These are quite lengthy, so it is more crucial to use a tape measure to check that they are parallel before pushing up on them, but the wonderful ease more than makes up for that. Unless you drive too recklessly, the stops at the ends are sufficient to prevent you from going off.Although they are not the cheapest wheel chocks available, the Race Ramps brand wheel chocks (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003ZAGPGU) are of high quality. When utilizing ramps like this, where there isn't really an indent for the tires, it's vital to chock the wheels; however, the flat area is actually wide enough that it shouldn't be an issue if you want to live recklessly.

It will be amusing to store these because they are so long, but I felt sure it was safe to let my husband use them to go under a car after seeing a video of a semi-truck running into them.I was on the verge of purchasing a less expensive choice when I saw complaints of the plastic collapsing, which terrified me. My Rhino ramps were too tall and steep to utilize because my BMW E93 has a 2" drop all around and an M3 front bumper. For the car to be raised so I could utilize a hydraulic jack, I needed lower profile ramps. With more than half the price of some Race Ramp choices, these ramps appeared to be the best value out of all the available options. I'm thrilled to say that choosing these ramps was the right decision. Their honey comb shape makes them incredibly light and strong. I didn't even need to acquire a low profile hydraulic jack because my car was raised just high enough to clear my regular sized hydraulic jack. 5 stars!!By the way, it says right there in the description: "These ramps are great for low-profile automobiles that would otherwise be difficult to fit a hydraulic jack or service lift under." They are not intended to be used to perform maintenance; rather, they are used to help raise the automobile high enough to utilize a jack or lift. I adore this ramp I wanted a method for securely stowing my 450-pound motorcycle into the little bed of my 2001 Nissan Frontier. I had two steel ramps before this that each weighted more than this ramp. It had to fold because I wanted a ramp that would fit in my bed with my bike and support equipment. To make this ideal, I made a few adjustments. I spent $12 at Home Depot on a roll of anti-slip tape and a piece of 1/8" thick aluminum treadplate. I fastened the sheeting in place with rivets. The sheeting's function is to give me extra stability while I walk my bike up the ramp on its own.

I've been using these outside, inclement weather, heat, and cold for over a full year now. They have held remarkably well thus far. There are no concerns at all. AVOID PURCHASING THE YELLOW ONES! Your money will be lost. Every time you try to use them, they will break, slide, or roll out from under your car. I am aware because I was duped.These tire savers are used on a car that I keep outside. It stays there for a period of 6 to 8 weeks. When loading the car, my previous "yellow" hard plastic ones would slip out since they dissolved in a year. I've never used these before. I was unsure of how simple it would be to load given that the asphalt was wet, but the car drove right up. There were no moving ramps; it was simple. They appear to be solid enough, but I hope they can withstand the elements. I'll give another review after six months of use.UPDATE: I have to tell that these are working fantastic after using them outside for several months! They are still like new, the car can go up and down in any condition without them slipping, and they have prevented flat spots from forming in the tires. Value for money!

The ovals that have been carved into the surface of these ramps have not been sharpened to a razor's edge, but they can nevertheless seriously wound the unsuspecting. Until I have the opportunity to give each one a dremel, I will be wearing gloves. It is perplexing and sad that the manufacturer was unable to dress these and sell a fully finished product. Off by one star.Having saying that, I'm happy with these ramps overall. I am unable to comment on the 1500 pound weight restriction, but in my experience, they were well-made enough to support a Cub Cadet and driver weighing roughly 900 pounds with a 27" track, and they were very solid when used with the supplied straps. The ramps appeared robust and did not make me feel uneasy, but they did flex to straight when loaded. Despite what some customers have said, the straps do not lack a hook. The strap's loop end is tucked beneath the bumper of the car, and the hook end is threaded through the loop, secured to the ramp, and pulled taut.I've used these ramps for up to 900 pounds, and I can suggest them. (Video was shot in HD; not sure why the resolution is bad today.)

How large and substantial these were startled me. They appear better than the ones you see at regular AutoZone type stores and seem to be much more solid than my old ones. These are nice and wide, so my big truck tires fit on them without any trouble, and they now have enough space for me to change the oil in my truck.
