Yes, LED lights are good for RV because they are more energy efficient than incandescent bulbs and they last longer.
RV lights are 12 volts. Most RVs have a 120-volt system, but the lights are 12-volt. This is because RVs typically have a lot of 12-volt accessories, like a fridge, and it’s more efficient to have one system for all the 12-volt stuff. Plus, 12-volt systems are easier to install and maintain.
If you have an RV, you may be wondering if you can replace the light bulbs with LED bulbs. The answer is yes! You can replace RV light bulbs with LED bulbs and enjoy a number of benefits. LED bulbs are more energy efficient than traditional light bulbs, so you’ll save money on your electric bill. They also emit less heat, so your RV will be cooler in the summer. And, LED bulbs last much longer than traditional light bulbs, so you won’t have to replace them as often. If you’re ready to make
Yes, you can hook up a 12V light to 110V. You will need a transformer to convert the 110V to 12V.

I use these lights for both interior and "porch" lighting in my utility trailer, which has a solar power system. Since a few months ago, the porch light has been on continuously. When mounted on a flat surface, the light fixture's design will, I believe, keep rainwater away from the electronics. At least for me, it functions in that way. They don't provide light that is very brilliant, but they do produce enough light for inside a camper or cargo trailer while using very little electricity. The only major criticism I have of it is that mounting requires tiny screws due to the design. If the heads don't tear out first, the supplied screws, which are roughly two steps below the cheapest ever created, will simply twist off. A square-head cabinet finish screw was employed. It appears to be the one I linked in this review and it functions flawlessly.https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0017354FU?pf rd p=183f5289-9dc0-416f-942e-e8f213ef368b

Perfect match for my motorhome's running/clearance light. The original, which was on the right back corner side, was damaged. Even the base was broken (let's skip the way). It was simple to switch it out for this light. Simply pop off the cover, remove the old base with two Phillips screws, and replace it. then remove the new light's cover. In my case, the light socket was still functional, so I just removed the grommet off the new one and inserted the original. Excellent fit. Simply align the new base, tighten the screws, and attach the new cover. My one and only "complaint" is that I got the incorrect base color. The order was for white instead of the intended black. I could not find a black one in stock despite knowing this when I placed my order. No huge deal. I'm relieved to have all of my working clearance lights back.If I do, I hope I won't need any more, but if I do, I wouldn't think twice about purchasing these.

I changed my 1995 Komfort travel trailer's two tail lights. This model replaced the driver's side, and for the passenger side I bought the alternate type without plate tabs. The vintage ones were original and in poor condition.Although there are no directions, installing these was relatively simple once I figured out the wiring. Although I'm not an electrician, I came to the following conclusion:Backup light with a red wireTaillight: Green WireBlack Wire, Turn/Stop LightGround wire, whiteThe backup wiring on my trailer was blue. The stop/turn on my driver's side was red, while the one on the passenger side was black. Although I'm sure this varies depending on the car, it might be useful to someone.

The original, fairly dim outside utility light on our Class C motorhome was getting on our nerves. It didn't provide much light and appeared more like an afterthought than a lamp that effectively illuminated the area.Save the day with Kohree! The desired illumination is provided by the powerful LED external light, which covers a much larger area than the original. The outdated light may be easily replaced using the usual attachment points. Electrical hookup went off without a hitch and was incredibly simple. Although we wanted more efficient lighting overall, the addition of the amber cover is fantastic for those who prefer it, and we are keeping it sparkling white for visibility around a lot of the side of our motorhome. Both the lamp and the casing are sturdily constructed. I don't anticipate any problems with it while driving in the slipstream, and I anticipate the LEDs to last a lifetime. Excellent value for the price on Amazon! We give this a straightforward FIVE STAR rating and a strong, sincere recommendation. This six-function light strip is what I put on my 2004 Dodge Ram 1500. I haven't seen it at night yet, but in broad daylight, I can see it from hundreds of feet away (for anybody else installing on a '04 ram, the reverse wire is white with the lighter green tracer). In addition to the way it looks, I bought this since my third brake light is shorted out and I have to change the bulb every week. More valuable than the $30 I spent on it and the hour it took me to figure out how to wire the rear light is the piece of mind. If the leds start to fail, as they do in 99% of cases for these light strips, I'll upload pictures and perhaps reduce my rating to one star.

When I first installed this light, I matched the wires from the light to the wires on my RV at random because the instructions said it didn't matter which wire went where, but the light didn't function. I tried the light with a battery as suggested by some of the other reviewers and it absolutely functioned; thus, I tried the re-installation with the wires pointing in the opposite direction. The second time it worked. It's a great light, other from that. It is long-lasting, bright but not overly bright, and I sealed it by wrapping butyl tape around the borders. I put the amber cover on the light that faces the back of the automobile and the clear cover on the second light that faces the side of the RV because I liked having the choice of the amber or clear cover. Would purchase again, but deducted a rating for the unclear installation instructions that required me to remove and reinstall the lights.

I installed these on a 1996 Prowler and discovered that there was enough of a gap along the horizontal edges that I worried bugs, water, and dirt may enter too easily and that wind buffeting might cause them to fall out. To cover the gap and increase the pressure at the retention tabs, I simply added a band of thin foam weatherstrip material. That is just my personal observation of this particular trailer's year and model. Perhaps the fit might be more accurate with alternative models, especially more recent ones. Overall, I believe the price was reasonable.
You can put residential lights in RV, but you need to check with the manufacturer to see if they are compatible. Some brands of residential lights may not be safe to use in an RV.
No, you cannot use a 120V light fixture for 12V. The two voltages are not compatible and using one in place of the other could result in serious damage or injury. 120V light fixtures are designed to work with 120V electrical systems and using a 12V power source will not provide enough power to properly operate the fixture. Additionally, the wiring in a 120V light fixture is not designed to handle the lower voltage and could overheat, causing a fire hazard. It is always best to use the proper light fixture for the voltage of your electrical system.
LED lights are designed to last a long time, and they do not burn out like traditional incandescent bulbs. However, LED lights will dim over time, and they will eventually need to be replaced. Leaving LED lights on all the time will not make them last longer, but it will save energy and money.
Yes, LEDs really can last up to 50,000 hours. This is much longer than the traditional incandescent light bulb, which only lasts for around 1,000 hours. LED bulbs also use less energy than traditional bulbs, so they can save you money on your energy bill.
Installing LED lights in an RV is a simple process that can be done in a few minutes. First, you will need to purchase LED lights and an LED light kit. Next, you will need to find a suitable location for the lights. Once you have found a location, you will need to drill holes for the lights. Finally, you will need to wire the lights to the RV's electrical system.
Assuming you are asking about 12 volt LED bulbs used in household fixtures: LED bulbs last much longer than traditional incandescent bulbs. While an incandescent bulb may last around 1,000 hours, an LED bulb can last up to 25,000 hours. This means that an LED bulb can last up to 25 times longer than an incandescent bulb.
