Shoei Pinlock EVO Insert for CNS-1/CW-1/CWR-1 Shield (Clear) Review:

I vowed I'd never purchase another of these pin-lock shields after the first one (which was included with the helmet) failed to stick at all, allowing dust and fog to enter the visor's crevices. I was very careful to clean it as suggested, using a microfibre cloth along with soap and water. My initial shield, however, crystallized, making it extremely difficult to see whenever the sun or approaching headlights were aiming at me. I'm revising my evaluation because I'm unsure if Shoei altered the material composition of the most recent shield I bought and have been using for a few years. As of right now, adhesion is mostly better and visibility is good. At times, air bubbles cause the seal to pop open, requiring me to reseat it. I'll admit that installing it hurts like hell in the helmet! I'm glad it doesn't make me afraid for my life while those beams of death shining upon thine eyes, with the exception of one significant nitpick.

Shoei CNS-1 Pinlock-Ready Face Shield Review:

Within less than 48 hours of installing this new visor on my GT-Air, I was involved in a serious highside crash that required hospitalization. The car drove out in front of me when I was mid-day travelling on a surface street. My original visor had numerous little dings and chips from normal use. For improved nighttime clarity, I purchased a brand-new one. My unconscious body hit the asphalt with such force that, according to witnesses (I don't recall it), the CNS-1 was severely gouged. At some time, the helmet also came off. I didn't have any head injuries, however I did sustain a small concussion from which I will fully recover. When it came to protecting my eyes and face from the road and debris, the CNS-1 shield did its job. Despite being severely damaged, the GT-Air continued to function as intended. I have personally praised local Shoei officials and would advise anyone who rides to wear a Shoei helmet.Additionally, the shield that comes with the GT-Air is the original shield. Excellent clarity and fog prevention thanks to Pinlock, but there is some light refraction at night (the fine print says to never ride at night with Pinlock). However, in my opinion, nighttime use is fine.

HJC HELMET SHIELD - HJ-09 (DARK SMOKE) Review:

Perfect replacement for riders who use sunglasses and a clear shield. This is much simpler than having to switch out eyewear since I wear glasses, so when it's sunny outside, I have to wear sunglasses while riding, then switch to my regular glasses when I get there, and then back to the sunglasses when it's time to leave. It may sound insignificant, but when riding a motorcycle, there are already a lot of different considerations to make, and I'm always looking for ways to streamline my workflow. The shield was quite simple to install and functions just as well as my sunglasses. As a side note, although I'm sure it's not advised, I rode to work at 5:30 am before sunrise with a smoked shield (forgot to switch to the clear one), and even though my eyesight wasn't crystal clear, I was still able to see everything just fine. You could ride with it in the dark in an emergency. I would have simply left it open while riding, but since my commute to work involves speeds of over 50 mph, I decided to keep it closed.

Shoei Pinlock Anit-Fog Lens CWR-1 Street Motorcycle Helmet Accessories - Clear - for RF-1200/RF-1100/GT-Air/Qwest/X-Twelve Review:

Condensation in my helmet has always been an issue, especially when I'm riding home at night. more so now that the temperature has dropped much further.I was initially confused about what this was and how it operated when a good buddy suggested that I get one of these.Basically, it's a clear plastic component with a silicone bead wrapped around it. Your visor won't fog up if you adhere the beaded side to the interior of the visor. Was a little apprehensive due of the expensive cost, but I still bought it.It was installed in 3 minutes, and I have to admit, it was well worth the time. On the first trip home that evening, the visor was clear. It is quite understated and effective. Very difficult to tell that you're wearing it at all! Definitely a recommendation!PS: The pinlock does reduce visibility, as stated in the warning on the cover. You shouldn't ride with it on at night because it 20% reduces visibility. However, I wanted to let you all know that I don't find anything wrong with this.

HJC Pinlock Lens Clear 19-110 Review:

It works perfectly. Additionally, attaching it to my helmet was a major pain in the ass. After seeing numerous video methods where people just slap things on without any adjustments, it took me nearly an hour to get it on there. My helmet's pins required a ton of adjusting, and it was quite difficult (HJC CL-17). When the pliers slipped off the pin, I even managed to make a tiny scratch on my visor. Since push pins are available for helmets, I won't deduct a rating for this, but please bear in mind that contrary to what all the reviews claim, this may not be a simple 5-minute task. Due to how challenging it was to attach this lens to my visor, I abhorred it to the hilt. But it works great once I've got it on there with a solid seal. No more visor fogging, no matter the weather or how I breathe. After cycling to work on a chilly morning and having my visor immediately fog up, I got one of these. Since I've had it for a few months, there hasn't been any fogging. I sincerely hope I never have to wear one of these again, so if my visor ever gets too scratched or cracked, I will be extremely sad.

Scorpion Faceshield Bag (Black) Review:

For my Scorpion R710 helmet, I have a transparent face shield and a black smoke face shield. I appreciate having the shield in my top box that isn't on my helmet right now. I'll wear the black smoke helmet during the day, but I'll need to switch to the transparent one if I'm out after dark. Since I detest seeing through scratched lenses, I have no reason not to get the face shield bag. I would repurchase. Delivery was prompt, by the way.

Bell MX-9 Adventure Shield, Dark Smoke Review:

The Dark Iridium Silver shield I purchased is excellent. Even in the intense heat, I don't need to use my sunglasses. Since I reside in Hawaii, this was unquestionably helpful and a wise purchase. Makes the helmet look rather black, just so you know.I just wore my regular glasses because I had a crazy cross polarization and was wearing it with sunglasses. There is no further distortion.simple to install

Bell Mens Star/Vortex/RS-1 and Revolver Helmet Faceshield, One Size, Dark Smoke Review:

Outstanding Bell Helmet Shield! The Dark Tint performs admirably. Based on the photo, I thought it could be very dark, but it's not at all.It is best to ride on sunny days with this dark tinted helmet shield. Even when the sky is cloudy, you can still see clearly. The Bell Light Tint and Transitions Helmet Shields are both items I own. Although they are all excellent, if you only want one, this one offers the best value for the money. With this protection, you probably wouldn't want to ride at night. Bell's quick release design makes it quick and simple to swap out, allowing you to reinstall your stock clear shield for nighttime riding.Would I buy this product once more knowing what I know now? Definitely! Would I suggest this product to a friend? Yes, I hope your results are favorable.David

Biltwell Solid Bubble Shield (Clear, One Size) Review:

An absolute must. They make excellent bubble shields. My XL 3/4 Daytona helmet is the right size for me.My wife's helmet was the intended recipient, but after she saw it, I don't think she was too taken with the way it looked. She chose not to. I then put it to the test the next morning on my 45-minute commute to work, which includes both city and interstate driving. My wife wants my ride back after I told her how pleasant it was. I thus purchased a second because I won't be returning the first.I have a few times snapped it on and off. If you want to take it on and off frequently, I wouldn't suggest this because it requires some pressure to snap on and off. If the snaps continue to do that, they will probably shatter repeatedly. Not because the product is inexpensive, but because it's likely. I'm going to keep it on my 3/4 DOT.1. Prevents my helmet from pushing up on my head while I'm driving.2. Keeps road grime, rocks, and insects out of my face.3.Is not prone to flopping.4.It doesn't blur my vision.5. Keeps my face from being cold.Cons: 1. Condensation at the level of the mouth and/or nose will occur on cold days.2. Before putting your helmet on, you must learn how to put your sunglasses on. Once your helmet or shield is on your head, it will be incredibly challenging or impossible to put your sunglasses on or off. Sunglasses are still necessary even though I have the transparent shield. I am unable to comment on the coloured shields. Two thumbs up overall, in conclusion. They are also sold by Harley Davidson, but expect to pay the HD pricing.

HJC Helmets HJ-09 Unisex-Adult Anti-Scratch Replacement Face Shield (Clear, One Size) Review:

WOW! When I was staring through my old visor, I feared I was becoming blind! Additionally, I'm sure that dropping my helmet and seeing it bounce across the bike shop's parking lot didn't help. I didn't think the scratches were really bothering my vision, but this new visor is awesome! Very clear, and it fits just like the original. My helmet is a HJC IS-16.
