Although the plastic trim around the convertible top of the old mustang I purchased was in excellent shape, it was faded and stained with white lines. Perhaps the paint on the trim came from a substance used to shield the body of the paint?I applied the plastic restorer after cleaning the plastic trim with an all-purpose cleanser and letting it air dry for a little while; it turned out beautifully. Since I was so eager to utilize this product, I neglected to snap before and after pictures. Given that I live in Florida, I appreciate the UV protection this product offers. Simply to maintain the cleanliness and new-looking appearance of my Harley's polycarbonate windshield, I made an investment in Plexus products. I had to give Car Guys Plastic Restorer a try after reading all the positive reviews it had received. Despite the fact that I have been using Mothers Back to Black for years and am delighted with it, I am always open to trying anything new. I'm so glad I did. My 1990 Chevy K2500 looks like it was just detailed, and I've used this stuff for years with no cracks yet, but I can't say what the overall effect is on vinyl. The harsh heat here in the high desert has a detrimental effect on all the vinyl, including the dash, console, and doors, where my truck has spent its whole existence. After applying a few coats of this, the vinyl actually loses its white chalky appearance and appears lustrous and spotless. Various people have different ideas on this product based on reviews, but I've owned my truck for 20 years and using it throughout that time doesn't seem to have damaged it, even though vinyl does become brittle over time, so I installed a dash mat to prevent my own from cracking. Given that the treatment must be reapplied frequently to preserve the attractive appearance when a vehicle is exposed to the sun constantly, I would say it serves more as a restorative than a protective. The car that spends its time in the garage lasts a lot longer.

The headlights on my 2005 Acura have become foggy over time. I once paid a nearby shop to clean my headlights, and while it was pricey and the headlights cleared up again after a few months, it did work. This is due to the fact that headlights are made of plastic, and the sun's rays and wear from travel cause the plastic's surface to get foggy.I recently read an article on CNET where they reviewed various headlamp cleaning chemicals and suggested Meguiar's PlastX. Along with it, I got some drill buffing pads. When it arrived, I used blue painter's tape to hide the paint surrounding the headlights before giving it a shot.WOW! The headlights went from murky to clear in a matter of minutes! After a few seconds, you should check how the headlight looks and have an old towel on standby to clean it off. After that, you can be choosy and focus on the areas you missed by giving them a brief buff once more.Really, I can't believe how simple and effective this was. The drill buffing pads are a must-have because they make the process simple. The identical kit is being sold by a number of different vendors here. It has a base that attaches to your drill, and it uses Velcro to secure one of the foam pads.Additionally, you don't need a lot of PlastX to do the task; only a thin line on the foam pad can effectively remove most of the lights. Although this is more like wax than the black hue I had anticipated, it still worked nicely. My Jeep's plastics were in awful shape, but now they almost appear to be brand new. I used this solution three weeks ago, and despite a few days of rain, it still looks wonderful. I anticipate having to reapply this product at some point because it resembles wax. Even so, it is entirely worthwhile because it takes only a short time and has a significant impact. I even use it on the plastics in my second car, which were in excellent condition, but now they appear cleaner and I anticipate that this will protect them so that they stay black for a longer period of time.

In light of this, I just apply 2 or 3 sprays of Armor All Protectant to each wheel well after brushing them clean. A Jeep Wrangler JL with a lot of black plastic trim is available. This product did an excellent job of sealing the plastic trim and restoring the factory lustre. Follow the directions carefully and wash with Dawn to get rid of any greasy buildup before drying completely and applying the product. Unseen water that was concealed in a crevice interacted with the product by changing into a white coating. The next day, I was able to lightly sand that area with a nail file and reapply the product, and everything worked out just great. Overall, I'm extremely pleased with the purchase. The first two photos show things before, while the following two show things after.

Works on glass just as well as ordinary rainX, but application technique is very important. In actuality, this is far more delicate. It won't function at all if you do it incorrectly.Clean the plastic very thoroughly with a substance that won't leave any deposits behind. Then, simply keep rubbing it in until it is uniformly distributed using a synthetic cloth (such the microfiber dust cloths, Quickie, etc.). Then use a dry area of the towel to rub until it becomes clear once more. The directions specifically state not to use paper towels; nevertheless, when I did, the rainX failed to cling at all, even though it didn't harm anything. Maybe due to the acidity of paper?It works remarkably well even when traveling slowly with a windshield, as I discovered when I tried it out on my motorbike helmet. If you ride a nude bike in the rain, you'll be completely visible.

If your black plastic is looking a little lackluster, there are a few easy ways to make it look new again. Start by giving it a good cleaning with soap and water.
