MOTORCYCLE KICKSTAND 2 Pack PLATE BIKER'S KICK STAND PAD ORANGE Review:

This straightforward piece of hard-molded plastic functions just fine. When I got off the bike, I tied a loose knot in one end of a thin shock cord (string will do) and threaded it through the hole in the pad. I can't just sit on my bike, straighten it off the stand, reach down to pick up the pad from the ground before I drive away since I have a big Harley touring cycle. This serves as a reminder to me to keep the pad in my car at all times (I lost one this way). This appears to function extremely nicely. The pads contain grooves that give them the appearance of being able to "grab" the pavement, but they are actually made of very hard, smooth plastic. They may sink in a little if the pavement were particularly warm, but thus far, I've found them to be a little slick.

Greenfield Kickstand Review:

Over the past few years, I've purchased five of these kickstands for all the bikes in my family, and I'm ready to purchase two more. For all bikes, this kickstand is a MUST! The ones that come on bikes these days are a joke, therefore I don't see why bike makers aren't employing this design any longer. My wife's Specialized comfort bike, which I gave her for her birthday, was the recipient of my first one. (A kickstand would be expected on a bike costing $450, but I digress.) The kick stand performed admirably and appeared to be a factory-installed component! With that accomplishment under my belt, I set about fixing the two-position joke kickstand that is now standard on all Walmart/Target bikes. These factory-installed disasters are impossible for small feet to move without kicking it 7-8 times, and after approximately a year, they naturally get loose and fall off the bike. What a transformation this $10 improvement brings! On my Specialized road bike that I've had for ten years, I recently mounted one. For everyone who might be contemplating:— "Oh no, I just added 80 grams to my bike, which means I can no longer ride very quickly; or —"This kickstand will reduce the aerodynamics of my bike, increase drag, and cause me to travel at a speed of 0.00003 mph; or —"If anyone sees me using a kickstand on my incredibly expensive showy-offy bike, other bikers will make fun of me no matter how cool my Spandex is!"Install this kickstand, bike harder, and toughen up!It amazes me that it took me this long to do it myself, but I adore it and wish I had started doing it right away. I'll be riding my mountain bike with the next one I order. I'm attaching a kickstand to an MOUNTAIN BIKE, you heard me right! Finally, the sizing (and probably now the most useful part of my review). Another benefit of these kickstands is that they are made of aluminum, making it relatively simple to cut them to size with a hacksaw (a metal file is also helpful for softening the cut edges and deburring, but it is not required). Even the kickstand has cut lines to aid in cutting at the proper angle. I have the following installed as of now:Kickstand: Men's Specialized 23 >305 mm "road bike (XL). Clearly, this kickstand was too large. It took me five times and around 1.75 inches of trimming before I got it to the appropriate size.Men's Fuji 19 >305 mm kickstand "Mountain bike (M). absolutely fits.Women's Specialized (M) comfort bike with >285 mm kickstand. Had to remove around 2 ". Now is the ideal time.Women's Diamondback (M) comfort bike with >285 mm kickstand. absolutely fits. The frame is higher off the ground but is the same size as the one above.>285 mm kickstand: 14.5 years old "bike, mountain. perfectly fitsIn conclusion, if your bike's base is smaller than 10.75 inches where the bottom kickstand plate will be installed, ", then the 285 mm ought to function properly. I would choose the 305 mm if it were higher.Another thing to keep in mind is that some bicycles have cables for the rear derailleur or brakes located close by, which might occasionally interfere with the kickstand (see my second uploaded photo). Although it hasn't been a problem yet, when there is interference, the rubbing may eventually cause the cable to break. Last but not least, some reviewers noted that theirs included rubber boots, but none of mine did (nor do I want them).

Greenfield Kickstand Foot, Black Review:

much improved stability. I never gave it much attention, but having only a small round base for the kickstand isn't a very smart design. The addition of the wide rubber base was such an improvement that I'm shocked they don't come with kickstands. I own two motorcycles, one of which is an electric hybrid, and the added weight rendered my existing kickstand quite problematic. However, after adding the rubber base to it, my existing kickstand now stabilizes my bike just fine. I'm not sure how long they survive before the kickstand's metal rod wears a hole in the rubber base, but if that happens, I'll take care of it then. It's possible to lessen wear by putting anything at the bottom.

Badass Moto Gear Motorcycle Kickstand Pad - Black - American Made in USA. Rugged, Durable w Color Choices - Kick Stand Coaster/Support Plate Helps Park Your Bike on Hot Pavement, Grass, Soft Ground Review:

He is the type of person who breaks up a beer can or searches for a rock or log to steady his kickstand. Swears but doesn't want "that expensive trash" when he can't find anything to stop the bike from toppling over. Right, then. I believe I have finally found the perfect kickstand pad for him—small, it's portable, unpretentious, has a suitable name, and is far superior to a rock, stick, or can. Excellent value, prompt shipment, and follow-up emails from the sellers make for a satisfying purchase. I won't know for sure if the BadAss gift will be beneficial until his birthday in a month, but I could not be happier with my purchase in any other way.

Greenfield Kickstand 285 or 305 mm in Two Colors Review:

This stand is reliable. No problems, however I did want to add a few things to help you be ready for the installation. On a bike with 24 inch wheels, the Ghost Kato, I had to use a hacksaw to remove nearly an inch of material. Because it's aluminum, cutting it isn't difficult, but if you need to alter it, you'll need a hack saw. Prior to cutting, check that the stand's bottom angle is maintained so that it is nearly flat on the ground and not a spike. To tighten this, you'll next need a big hex key. I definitely needed the hex key and not just pliers to get around the grooved bolt because it goes in a recessed position on this bike. My mechanics kit contained a hex key this size that my regular tool set lacked. Just a heads-up, it's not a big deal.Once I cut it to the proper length and tightened it with the provided washer, it was quite solid and secure. I'm pleased with this purchase and would make a second purchase or suggest it to others.

KiWAV Motorcycle kickstand pad support black x1 piece soft ground outdoor parking Review:

This was my buy for a 1997 Suzuki GSXR. I bought another one for a Kawasaki Ninja since it worked so nicely. The kickstand of my 2007 Kawasaki Ninja ZX14 works perfectly.I have used it all summer long in Pennsylvania's highs of 90 degrees Fahrenheit. Although not as hot as Death Valley, California, Las Vegas, Nevada, or Houston, Texas, it was nonetheless hot.I used it for 8 to 10 hours outside in the sweltering summer heat, and the pad held up and performed admirably.⁃ The kickstand causes the weak tarmac or paving in (mainly) private parking areas to give way, causing holes and stains on the tarmac and making your motorcycle unstable. This issue is fixed by this kickstand pad.⁃ It is solid, adheres to the ground, and resists deformation in hot weather.- I keep it in the packaging's plastic bag.

Kuryakyn 7110 Chrome Plated OEM Motorcycle Kickstand Spring: 1985-2006 Harley-Davidson Late Model Big Twins, Pack of 1 Review:

Spring is quite useful. For you guys who are whining that it was cheap and bent. If this was the proper spring for your bike, you simply lacked the installation knowledge. It does not require stretching with plyers or vise grips. The Kickstand is taken out of the pivot joint. One screw, there. Use the kickstand as a lever to replace it after attaching the spring. Easy to accomplish.

Ventura Adjustable Center Mount Kid's Kickstand Review:

Strong kickstand that fits our child's 20-inch bike. The kickstand mount's spring action is so strong that it causes the kickstand to revolve completely clockwise when the stand is kicked into the down position. As a result, when riding, the kickstand leg will eventually contact the pedal or the rider's foot. No matter how firmly the bracket bolt is tightened, the mount will still revolve. My recommendation is to cut two 1 inch lengths of a thick automotive rubber hose—possibly 5/8 inch thick—then cut them both lengthwise. Put the split side of each split hose on the bottom of each frame tube. On top of it, attach the kickstand assembly. The hose will provide the frame tubes a stronger grip and stop the kickstand from rotating. Yes, all of this was caused by the lack of a kickstand-mount box welded to the bike's frame.

Ventura Double Leg Kickstand for 26"-29" Review:

I was able to purchase this sturdy two-leg bicycle stand for a terrific price from Amazon's "open box" warehouse specials. I loaded it onto my hefty Currie mountain bike with electric assist. Prior to that, it had a single-leg kickstand, which made it impossible to work on the bike. It also required a lot more storage space because it moved the bike list to the side. Before purchasing this, I read a lot of other reviews. The stand being too close to the ground for many riders while it is "up" for riding and still points down at an inclination was the major complaint. I'm a DIYer and was prepared to do this because another reviewer claimed he cut the stops that determine where the stand folds to. I came to the conclusion that the stand would ride too low, especially for a mountain bike where I might end up head-over-keister if I caught on a rock or root. So, I attached a small cutting wheel to my Dremel and made slots 1/8 of an inch from the end in the bent metal stops. After that, I broke these tabs off with a pair of strong vice-grip pliers. All the customizing I needed to do was that.I was able to take off the kickstand and mount the two-legger in precisely the same location, being cautious to make sure the legs did not contact the back wheel before tightening everything down. There it was. On my mountain bike, I now have a sturdy two-legged stand, and I've been thankful for it numerous times, not the least of which was when I needed to stop on the trail and adjust the new brake pads I'd put in.You might need to make a few tweaks to this universal stand in order for it to fit your bike. If you don't know how to use tools, you might need a friend who does, or you could take it to a bike shop for final assembly.performed perfectly for me. Recommended!

JRL Kick Stand Fit Dirt Pit Bike 70cc 90cc 110cc 125cc 138cc 140cc 150cc 200cc Parts Review:

While that spring is tough, the kickstand was complete and easily mounted to the bike.Works alright, although I can understand why the original might have been removed. Due of the stand's extreme straightness up and down, the bike could roll forward and cause it to collapse. Additionally, it strikes the swing arm when folded. I'm just publishing this here so people are aware of what to expect even if it doesn't seem to be the product's fault.
