Body side molding can be removed, but it is not recommended. The molding is there to protect your car's paint from being chipped or scratched. If you do remove it, you'll need to be careful not to damage the paint.

There are no instructions, so lubricate the tool bolt with assembly lubricant before inserting the tool slightly under the top coil on either end and compressing it to its maximum size to set the spring so you can see where it will be placed. Then, back off the nut while keeping an eye on the spring to ensure that it is opening in the correct TWO places. If done correctly, it should be simple. If you try anything wrong, you won't be happy and might even be upset. If you're still unsure, view the online compression tool video, which omits the information above.You are wasting your time and money if the door limit pin is damaged as a result of slamming the door open, or worse yet, if the hinge attach metal is damaged. These parts cost around $35 each at the dealership. Over time, the plastic ring around the striker bolt that the catch connects to ages and/or becomes brittle; when it fails, the door latch rattles. When you multiply this by 4, you quickly realize that the price at the dealership is astronomical. Since Dorman has been making high-quality components for a long time, you can trust that these will be just as good. By the way, the last time I visited a GM parts department, every package and bag of components had "Made In China" printed on it. I assume that dealerships' factory GM parts are no longer as affordable as they once were. My autos are vintage and were originally constructed with components from the United States. There is no reason to confuse Chinese with imported parts just because GM imported them. Finding third-party parts created in the United States will make me happy too.

After doing some research, I decided that these should take care of my issue—which they did—because I was sick of repeatedly concussing myself when the barn doors on my wife's 1998 suburban retracted and shut on their own, slamming me in the head. I'm not sure how they will fare in the big picture, but I'll be sure to report if they fall short. I'm delighted to say that after numerous camping trips and loading and unloading activities, they have been in place for a few months, and I am no longer concerned that recurrent head trauma would result in CTE in the future. If I do, GM, prepare for my arrival! Jk, or am I kidding? ;)Put some oil on installing these as a favor to yourself. Make sure they are going back together properly by putting them back together one side at a time so you can check them from side to side. I made a mistake during installation and kept wondering why the strap was moving around; it turned out that I hadn't inserted the little hinge spring at the proper angle.

Unquestionably one of the coolest modifications you can make to any vehicle.Fed up I had the unattractive scratches that the previous owner of my vehicle's long nails had left on the doors. I see why there are flaws in the tiny space behind the grips. Now, some people might plaster this product on top of every scratch, and it will be effective in hiding them. But I'm too fastidious for my own good, so I eliminated them using techniques for auto detailing (feel free to ask in the comments if an explanation is needed).The majority of vehicles, with the exception of JEEPs, can be fitted with CUPEEZ scratch shields thanks to their nearly universal fit. Cleaning the area, heating the pads using a blow dryer or heat gun, and pressing them into position made the installation process so simple that even a monkey could do it. I'm done now.And my 2008 Toyota RAV4 really does look ATTRACTIVE with these. Because these kinds of changes are uncommon, I frequently get comments and questions. I haven't even seen another driver with door handle scratch guards.The only things I despise are listed below:1) The cost. These things cost roughly $7.50 each, which is a lot to spend for something that probably only cost $0.50 to create. Unfortunately, I believe this business has no rivals, so business owners, pay attention!2) After three weeks, one of the corners is beginning to tear upward. But I should be able to repair it.Before, the metal of the door would frequently make contact with your fingers as you opened it.Now, as you grip the handle, a rubbery material that resembles carbon fiber is absorbing any wear. as long as your car is covered in CUPEEZ.

The item fits perfectly. Do a dry fit, examine the interior, and remove any extra tabs if necessary. Although the red is a little darker than firecracker, it provides a fantastic contrast to show that you have upgraded the original hinges with an additional component. My vintage automobile already had door edge trim when it was manufactured. When other people rode in my car and threw the doors open or when someone parked too near to me in a parking lot, I liked that it provided me a little security. This item works flawlessly in my 2016 Mazda CX-5 Grand Touring, which I just recently purchased. The trim is attractive; it is shiny and black, and coupled with the extensive quantity of trim already present on my car, this blends in well with the overall design. It was simple to install, fit over the doors with ease, and doesn't appear to be coming off any time soon thanks to the interior glue. The trim is still firmly in place even after last night's installation and this morning's city and highway travel. These were purchased to replace a broken one on my 19' Airstream Flying Cloud travel trailer. The broken one was on the Accordion door that divides the kitchen area from the bedroom/bathroom section. The pleated portion of the door has a lengthy plastic piece that slides off. After taking it off, you must clip the rivet, being careful not to damage the main plastic component. I then carefully placed the rivet back onto the pleated portion of the door and into the track using a small nut and bolt as a replacement. It performed flawlessly:)

These surpass the Hinge Pin Kits I bought at my neighbourhood auto parts store by a wide margin. I purchased two kits, and after two weeks, both of the top bushings broke. These were discovered online; we read the reviews and gambled. I'm pleased I did. I installed them, and a year and a half later, the bushings are still holding firm. I'm not sure if, as one reviewer claimed, the bushings are composed of copper. They are, nevertheless, far more flexible than other bushings in my experience. As a result, they have a little give to fill the hole rather than shattering if the bushing's fitting hole is slightly "rounded out." surpassed all of my expectations
