This small television is quite nice. The Prism 9" that I had for roughly 10 years has been replaced with this. I mistakenly believed I was buying the 9" model, but it turned out to be the 7" model, which is still a fine size for me. After securing the antenna and conducting the channel searches, setup was simple. The picture on my Prism model was somewhat better, but this one's picture is still good, and the model is lightweight. The absence of manufacturer contact information for problem-solving, etc., is the only thing that worries me. Just have that in mind; I'm not sure whether it's intentional, but it's a little unusual. The user guide contains a section titled "Software Update," but it doesn't specify where you may find the update. There was nothing about the Milanix brand online when I searched. But overall, things are going well. I'm hoping it will last at least as long as my Prism.

Since I recently cut my cable, I needed a new desktop TV receiver for my home office because all of my local channels are now received using an antenna. I can now see why the Pyle had the top reviews. Excellent, bright, sharp, and with colors that are true to life, the image is. The control layout on the front panel is user-friendly. I would have preferred the power, antenna, etc. jacks to be on the back rather than the side for my use, but I can see why they picked the side given that this was designed to be hung on a vehicle seat.The tilting stand has a lovely design but is a little light. It's put under a little bit of stress due to the AC power, headphone output (to a modest stereo system), and a strong coax antenna connection. If the wobbliness becomes bothersome, I do have the option of fixing the base on a piece of wood because the base has some screw holes.The layout of the remote control is nicer than most I've seen for this type of TV, which usually just have a grid of buttons.Even though I live in a region where reception might be problematic, I was still able to capture all the key channels with a basic Winegard FlatWave powered antenna (near the antenna farm but in the shadow of a ridge). It attracted nearly as many people as my upstairs Sony Bravia (with the same kind of antenna).A large box of cables, adapters, and connectors is included with the TV. I initially found the peculiar receptacle for the extra antenna to be a little alarming. However, I was pleasantly surprised when I found an adapter at the bottom of the box of goods. Once I understood there was a power button on the front and an on/off switch on the side panel, the setup was simple. I can't comment on battery life until we have our first power outage of the winter since this typically runs on AC power.So overall, I'm quite pleased with my decision and would suggest it.

purchased it for Irma. Fortunately, the power came back on after a few hours, so I only had to use it briefly. After reading a few of the other reviews, I felt compelled to post. It is not simply ready to use right out of the box; just like with any other digital antenna, you must scan for channels. I viewed the Jets game (because why not? News on other channels came in clearly while I was on it and just needed to fidget with it a few times to get it steady. I'll just presume it had to do with the broadcast because the audio for the game was terrible but excellent on other stations. They should have mentioned that there is a plastic screen protector that you must remove, however you rarely notice the tab because it is so small. The master power button should be flipped to the side when not in use. If not, the battery would be wasted, as I had to learn the hard way. I believe the build quality is excellent for the price, and I will use it in the future. To change some of these other evaluations, they just need to give instructions (I didn't notice any regarding the concerns mentioned above).

TV came in working condition. After affixing an HD external antenna, I was able to receive nearly all of the channels that were within a 25 to 35 mile radius. One peculiarity: after installing the antenna, I picked up the TV and heard what sounded like a screw rattling inside of it. I removed the back cover and found a loose split ring with a diameter of about 3/8 inch. My best opinion is that the noise originated from one of the antenna cables, most likely the little extension cable I used to connect the HD antenna, given I never observed the noise until I connected that particular antenna. If this happens to you, don't remove the back, turn the TV upside down, and shake it to clear the hole where the antenna joins; if I had known the hole was accessible from the inside of the case, I would have done that.

I've had a reliable 5" Magnavox CRT TV since the late 1980s and wanted to replace it with a larger LCD screen that uses less power for my "storm center."This TV seems like a strong contender. Magnavox consumes 15W in addition to an additional 8W for the RCA digital converter box. The Tyler TV's built-in converter lists 10MW, which I assume means the sound is really loud. I get 0.6 amps at typical volume, or just over 7W.The supplied antennas are excellent for scratching or swatting at wasps in NW Harris County (region of Houston), but not much else. I connected a special cable plug from an actual antenna in the attic rafters to the living room. Still unable to receive strong signals from local Channels 11 and 13, but am able to receive several others, including 2, 20, 26 and 39 for weather monitoring. For our kitchen's undercabinet mounting, we wanted a compact TV. This was the only white TV in the proper size that we could find that suited our demands. When we first got it, we were a little hesitant, but thus far, it has worked great. It IS incredibly weak; the mounting bracket we are using is roughly twice as heavy as the TV, thus we have to be cautious to hold onto the mount when turning or rising the TV out of fear that it would break in half. However, the image is clear and has been dependable for more than four months.The initial setup was simple, however HD channels had to be individually zoomed when it was being supplied via the coaxial from our Comcast box (one of the small ones; it wasn't a DVR or X1 box). This was almost a deal-breaker. But the issue went away when we switched to an HDMI cable. The input configuration on the back of the TV is a little tight, so we had to purchase a flexible HDMI cable with a small socket to fit into the TV. It took some time for us to discover the remote code for the Comcast remote (X2), but we ultimately did: it was 10178. The sound is the only significant issue, and it is not fantastic. As the volume is increased, hardly any difference is noticeable. Don't anticipate much more; it's fine for viewing the news while eating breakfast or preparing dinner. Thoughtful about the purchase, but difficult to dispute with the pricing.

Instead of hauling a bulky monitor about with me when I visit clients (IT support), I bought this. All the additional functions are a fantastic bonus. When connected as a monitor, it emulates 1920x1080, which is good. If you need to use a micro SD card with more storage than 32GB, format it as fat32 rather than exFat. Does exactly what it says it will. I give this a solid five stars given the amount I paid, and I sincerely hope it holds up.

I don't understand why it wouldn't function with the newest streamers, such Roku, Chromecast 1, the Amazon Fire Stick, and others.⃠It is a fantastic TV that offers high definition content and will transmit the signal that is supplied to it via the antenna, so you should do some research on the channels that are accessible in your area.If you wish to utilize the "high power antenna" to receive OTA channels, it is worthless and not included in the box. You need to purchase a new antenna. I bought the powered/amplified "1byone" antenna because it received positive ratings. You will receive few, if any, channels without an amplifier if you use any antenna.Setup is quite simple.
