Greetings, everyone. PLEASE READ. —- This review includes my original assessment, which is below, as well as an update following the Dolby Atmos firmware upgrade (MUST READ). Additionally, I continue to be in utter awe of the system and my setup. —-I chose the Nakamichi 9.2 over the Samsung HWK950 Atmos, Sony HTST5000 Atmos, and a number of Vizios a year ago, and I haven't looked back since. A few months ago, Nakamichi said that all of its 2018 Shockwafe DTSX soundbars will receive a free firmware update that would enable the addition of Dolby Atmos, Vision, and SSE technology (9.2, 7.2 and 7.1 models)This is what I have to say now that I have used the updated Atmos firmware on my 9.2 for a few weeks. If I had to rate it, the new firmware improves the system's performance by around two times above what was already the greatest soundbar setup by a wide margin. The improvement is quite excellent and significant, elevating the 9.2 system to a whole new level of audio performance. It sounds like you are inside the movie scene when Atmos is played via the entire speaker system, which includes a soundbar, four surround speakers, and two 10" subwoofers. No other soundbar system I've heard can match the Nakamichi era in terms of the Atmos experience (especially not the fake sound bars that don't even actually include real speakers to place around the room). When I watched Unbroken, the initial bombing scenario was incredibly violent, with gunfire, missiles, and explosions coming from above, below, and all sides. All I have to say is wow! While movie sounds were already all around you throughout the movie, they have been enhanced significantly in recent years. Additionally, the performance of bluetooth audio was significantly enhanced with the updated firmware.to respond to some possible inquiries. With the help of the new SSE technology in the latest firmware, each speaker in your immediate vicinity may now provide height effects. Therefore, you will truly hear height effects from all of the speakers in this system, resulting in more natural and realistic-sounding Atmos surround sound than the tiny, dedicated upfiring speakers seen in other systems. Due to their trapezoidal design and ability to be laid on their side, surround speakers can now be arranged differently and converted to upfiring speakers by using the latest firmware.The finest of both worlds will be provided when it comes to upmixing common popular stuff. The Dolby Surround upmixing engine will now be used to upmix PCM and Dolby audio into 9.2 channels, while DTS content will be upmixed using DTS NeuralX. In order for you to fully benefit from the system's 9.2.4 configuration, each type of material will be upmixed utilizing its most appropriate upmixer.I'm particularly excited about this new firmware since it solidifies Nakamichi as the best soundbar for sound and performance in 2019. According to my experience with the Sony 5000, the surround sound speakers do not use simulation; they are actual surround sound speakers. The surround sound speakers can be completely hidden or left out in the open because they have a lovely, fashionable appearance. It wonderfully complements my TV stand that the soundbar isn't just another rectangle, and it has a tiny bit of silver accent on each end and on the nameplate to further set it off, in case someone was curious about why it isn't the basic rectangular shape of every other sound bar. If you're wondering about the 7.2 and the 9.2, I'd say it really just depends on the type of person you are and the environment you live in in terms of how much bass you enjoy. How much bass you want to achieve will determine whether you need two 8" or two 10" subwoofers. The extra surround sound speakers are good, and the soundbars are the same for both units, but in my opinion, these features are unimportant compared to the subwoofers and bass you desire. Not to add, all other sound bars only have one subwoofer; with this system, you get two, and believe me, the base is much better balanced because there is a sub on both sides of the room rather than just one. I recently acquired Terminator 2 in 4K, which is my final point. And I wanted to add that as my girlfriend and I were sitting on the couch, we believed we heard a dog barking outside my house (it was in the movie in the background of a scene barking). Not to add the motorcycle that was passing and that you could hear from left to right, which seemed to be in perfect alignment with the explosions above, beside, and behind. Then we watched Blade Runner 4K, and while it rained and sounded like it was raining inside my house, the character eventually walked inside a building where the rain was still falling outside, leading me to believe that it was raining on my roof outside my house!Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions regarding anything. Amazing speakers, these. I used the earlier, smaller 75 watt 5.1 Logitech speakers for about ten years for music, movies, gaming, and other uses. They were incredibly valuable. Sadly, one of the satellites failed, necessitating an upgrade to their bigger sibling. The model is fantastic. When watching anything, especially HD movies, it booms in my living room. It barely needs to reach over 50% to have awesome-sounding movies, video games, or music. I have absolutely no issues about this. Although my old speakers were adequate, I can now wow my friends when they visit for a movie. They have a little bit more power than the default on-board 5.1 because I also use an old-school Creative Xtreme Sound Blaster X-Fi card. If you happen to be watching movies with Media Player Classic, make sure you go to the options menu and select the normalize button. My amplifier is set to a 350% gain with volume applied. These speakers are arguably the finest value you can get if you want to get the most for your money and use a PC as the hub of your entertainment, whether it's connected to a projector or large screen. If you plan to attach the speakers, make sure you do your research first because speaker location is crucial. The bass box is positioned under the desk and moved out from the wall by about six inches, and these items are arranged at ear level throughout an 18' by 20' space. Bass rerouting is active. There is enough of amplification and bass for watching movies in this room, which has open walls on both sides and 20-foot ceilings.

This is a very beautiful unit. I spent hours online researching it before placing my order comparing it to the Promedia 2.1 or the Swan M10, M50. In addition, I previously possessed a Logitech Z623. Here is what I've learned.-This 2.1 speaker has a very attractive design and is well constructed. My initial thoughts are quite favorable.Hooking it up is simple. just one electrical outlet is needed for the sub.-I love bass, and this unit doesn't let me down. Do not be deceived by the PM 2.1 or Z623 output 200W. This unit certainly have a powerful punch. It's not quite as challenging as the z623 I got, but it's still adequate.-To my untrained ear, the sound quality is excellent ( I am not a pro or a picky person on sound usually). Due to the sub's excessive strength, the z623 usually only allows you to hear the low frequencies. But in this item, the two 10-watt speakers generate incredibly clear music, and the subwoofer works well at its highest volume. I can hear Lady Gaga singing while also appreciating the powerful bass.VERDICT: If you adore the design as I do and want to convince your wife that this is a decoration, an improvement to the house instead of a speaker for your personal movie/gaming hobby, then this is the speaker for you. Stop searching and buy it. As a lover of bass, I can attest that the sound quality and bass quality are nicely balanced and that this DOES THE JOB. Although good devices, the Z623 and PM 2.1 are not as high-quality as this one. Take a look at the layout; are you sure you want to leave this behind?

My major objective was to get rid of our old system's unattractive appearance and excessive amount of wiring. On that front, the mission was successful. The center speaker, which was housed on a shelf on the entertainment center, is now replaced by the sound bar, which also takes the place of the two front speakers and their supports. The two rear surround speakers are connected wirelessly to the sub, which can be concealed under the couch, by cables. Our Onkyo 7.1 system from a decade ago had greater "room filling" sound, but I think the Nakamichi's simplicity and cleaner look make up for it. It's a terrific value for the money because it costs half as much as a comparable Samsung soundbar, even though I can't comment on any differences in sound quality.

I had to wait to open the box and pair them with my LG SK9Y after I received them on May 24th, 2018. Check out the SK9Y website to read my review of the sound bar. Anyway, all I can say is that the setup procedure went without a hitch. My SK9Y was quickly opened. It's ideal for me because I just have an Xbox One X. All I had to do was plug in the receiver once I had the speaker stands set up and the cable attached. I had absolutely nothing to do. The rear speakers and subwoofer were picked up by the SK9Y.Try to put your wireless equipment away from any internet modems or wireless routers to prevent equipment failure.During the weekend, I watched a variety of films and television programs. Some Netfix movies support Dolby Atmos, and honestly, the audio quality was excellent. Some songs play more smoothly than others. Due to Atmos, Dark sounds fantastic on Netflix, while Wind River plays just as well as a 5.1 setup. I have a Blu-ray copy of Game of Thrones, which plays in dolby atmos and has lovely audio. The Matrix in 4K and Mad Max: Fury Road serve as my references for sound. Mad Max, you heard every shot fired and all the fantastic soundtrack, then crash. It was wonderful to hear all the gunfire, the deep bass, and the clarity of the voices in The Matrix. I really appreciate the fact that you can use these with any of LG's 2018 sound bar models.With regard to sound, LG has really improved. I mostly use it for video games and movies. I truly can't describe the music's sound to you because I listen to it through earphones. Overall, this would be a terrific addition to any TV setup and would go great with my LG B7A. exceeded my expectations for me and what I desired from it.

As of July 19, 2017, the firmware update is now accessible on the Yamaha support website. My own recently got updated, and I'm really impressed. DTS Virtual:X improves the bar's existing 3D sound by adding additional effects and giving the impression that sound is emanating from all directions, including overhead (yes, this is actually true)! Goodness, the sound is so accurate and crisp that I'm even getting chills. My mind is probably continuously fooled into thinking the music is real when it isn't. The blue light that glows from the "surround" indicator on the panel indicates when the DTS Virtual:X effect is engaged.Original assessment as of July 1st, 2017:———————————-Key characteristics of YAS-207:1) Due to the lack of DTS Virtual:X, its surround sound can only currently be heard from horizontal directions. You will be able to hear DTS Virtual:X enveloping surround sound emanating from overhead at different heights after a firmware update, which Yamaha claims will be ready in August of this year.2) A wireless subwoofer is included for dynamic sound.3) 4K HDR video is transmitted. [*UPDATE*]Everything is still wonderful—in fact, it's even better. I decided to stop waiting and reconfigure the wires to test HDMI ARC after adding a PS4 to the mix yesterday (previously used optical input). NOW, after almost 8 months, I no longer rely on the sound bar LEDs for a volume indicator, and the sound quality is even better (Dolby D /DTS utilized with TV, bitstream DTS with PS4). Take use of HDMI ARC on your TV with this sound bar. Since then, I've gotten rid of the sound bar's and two other devices' tiny, stroke-inducing OEM remotes and have switched to programming everything with a Harmony Ultimate remote. A unanimous thumbs up!————————————————————-[*FYI*]I paid for this product out of my own hard-earned money, and I haven't received any freebies or rewards for writing this review (sorry, it reads like a novel).Since I bought the MagniFi mini six months ago, I'd have to say I've gotten a lot of unexpected, welcome value for my money. At first, I was dubious, assuming that a single small bar and sub couldn't possible provide me with a convincing theatrical sound experience... WRONG!!! The sound is coolest because it "feels" like it's coming from all around the room, even though the bar is just in front of me, underneath my TV.The primary bar speaker is well constructed and as weighty as a brick. The down-firing sub is very well made, relatively light, and fits almost anyplace. However, determining your ideal audio settings involves a significant learning curve. Before you hit the sweet spot, you'll have to fiddle with the audio out settings on your TV for a bit. Additionally, it took some getting accustomed to not seeing a visual sign on the TV and understanding what the colored lights on the speaker front were saying me. Finding the best option for at least three of the four devices I have connected to the speaker took roughly a month after the TV's audio out settings first became problematic.I can say that when I have turned it up (using just the optical input) for a PlayStation game or streaming movies with my TV audio out setting to Dolby /DTS, there is a TON of power behind that set-up, even though I honestly don't think I've been able to use this speaker to its full potential. I have no doubts that it has like really crank it up to an ignorant level. I stream material via TV applications (Pandora, Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, E! Now, etc.) 99% of the time. Amazingly well-balanced audio hardly ever needs to be adjusted via the remote. Moonlight, for example, was somewhat of a nightmare, but I watched it the night after receiving the speaker and hadn't yet made sense of things. I also upgraded the inferior stock wire with a high-end optical cable, and the sound quality improved even more. The quality of Bluetooth streaming is just as fantastic. I've tried streaming from my Mac, a few old Android phones, and my iPhone. Pairing was simple and each one performed as well. I haven't yet tested the sound quality from the TV over ARC to the speaker since my U-verse cable box occupies the single ARC HDMI connector on the TV. But I'm quite sure it's great. When I do get to test that, I'll report back and provide an update if anything noteworthy transpires. One thing that annoys me about inputs is when people change the station or the video they're streaming. There is a sound delay that doesn't stop until you manually press the volume button for a few seconds. It's a little frustrating, and I frequently wonder if using ARC HDMI will fix it. I'll update this review if it stops working, LOL!My second purchase from Acoustic Audio is this one. The initial purchase of the AA5150 was made nearly three years earlier to the day. The old system was still functional, but I wanted an upgrade, and I went with this one because it was less expensive. First off, the speakers are amazing and look pretty good in black and silver. More crucial, though, is how great it sounds! When playing, I have not heard any interference, static, or other undesirable sounds. I connected my cheap record player to it, and I was astounded by how crystal-clear it sounded!Even though I'm not an audiophile, this system works pretty well in my tiny bedroom. The last model I owned was criticized for failing to remember your volume preferences. The system would reset itself each time you turned it off. I was shocked to find that that's not the case here! The volume levels are still as you left them! The lack of holes in the rear of the satellite speakers to hang them from walls surprised me, though (but 3M Command Strips work perfectly for that).In terms of surround sound, unless you have an audio decoder, it won't be discrete. The HD Audio Rush gadget is the one I use. It still works wonders after three years of ownership! By doing that, the 5.1 surround sound on my TV, Amazon Fire stick, and PS4 is produced correctly.I have no complaints right now regarding this system! It greatly exceeded my expectations! The surround sound and crystal-clear audio make watching movies, TV shows, and playing video games more enjoyable!
