Since my mother is not tech savvy and this is her first cordless phone, I bought it for her. She adores her phone, particularly the caller-blocking feature. She ADORES that trait. She found setup to be quite simple, and I was able to call her and walk her through using additional special capabilities (we live in separate states). She had no trouble seeing the caller ID display or the buttons, and she hasn't had any issues with the ringing volume. She claims I can hear and understand her clearly when we speak. She puts me on speaker so that I can say hello to her neighbor, and it's so clear that I can't even tell I'm there. There have been no problems with it for a month thus far. She enjoys having cordless independence now. If only I could persuade her to purchase a smartphone.

This phone is excellent. When I switched from a landline to a smartphone, I recently retired my 8-year-old Panasonic landline phone. The "Talking Caller ID" function, which Panasonic invented first, has long convinced me to buy their phones. With a published number, I frequently received telemarketing calls.I started missing my old home phones after only a month of using a smartphone. When the phone rang, it was a terrible nuisance to run to find it. My friend then revealed to me how his Panasonic Link2Cell phone allowed him to patch all cellular calls into his cordless home phones. I was thrilled!I finally decided on the KX-TGE463S with 3 handsets after much study. I don't utilize the built-in answering system because my phone is configured to only work with my cell. Now, those calls are routed to voicemail. The other features are outstanding and have made taking calls at home as simple and practical as it was with my landline in the past.The ability to use two cell phones with the system, talking caller ID, audible notice of incoming text messages, and download your cell phonebook to the house phones are some of its key features. There are several additional features that I don't use, such as the intercom and key fob location.In essence, I now have phones scattered throughout the house that allow me to make and receive cell phone calls just as simply as I could with a landline. I can tell if I should get up to answer a call by listening to the talking caller ID. These phones use the 1.9 GHz frequencies, which means they don't interfere with your house wifi and have good sound quality. Additionally, they have software for improving the sound quality (useful on cell calls).My blind mother has had Panasonic phones with the talking caller ID feature for a long time. Because I loved mine so much, I purchased her one as well. She uses both a smartphone and a landline. All of her calls (mobile and landline) will now come through the same house phones while she is at home and will clearly identify the caller.I urge anyone with a smartphone to get them. I can stop worrying about missing calls or texts by charging my smartphone when I get home near the Panasonic base. Normally, I stick with Panasonic, but I was open to checking out other websites and reviews. In the end...Amazon had the greatest pricing, of course, they had the finest customer service, This model phone had the best reviews for what I was searching for. I STILL choose not to purchase them. We are quite delighted with the Panasonic KX-TGF353N DECT 3-Handset home phone system. Much better audio quality than our prior cordless phones. Complete phone book integration between the corded base and the cordless phones is wonderful, plus if you need it, each cordless handset can have their own independent speed dials for various members of the family. Programming is no worse than anything else you do these days - just read the directions and follow the menus. Sometimes the cordless menus are slightly different from the corded base and one menu set could be easier to traverse than the other. If you just want to use the phones without programming anything, they will work great. The quality of the answering machine is good and we have gotten no complaints so far from our regular callers. This phone system offers some interesting customizable features and a reasonable documentation to guide you through the procedure. The hue of the phones is a pleasant contrast from black which most other models seem to be. The cordless handsets appear solid but I would not like to check how well they survive a drop on concrete. The screens are easy to read - date and time are set by the phone company and are correct. Speaker-phone option is duplex and works extremely great. Belt clips on the cordless handsets are optional in case you don't need them but I think they give just a bit extra to grip onto while you talk. As always, there will be flaws that reviewers note and I thought it was weird that Panasonic gave the rechargeable batteries for the cordless handsets but did not supply the same rechargeable batteries for the power outage backup mechanism on the corded phone. Nonetheless, that being a tiny annoyance to have to arrange for yourself, this is a terrific phone system and I highly recommend it to you.

Make sure the power adapters are connected to working electrical outlets that are not controlled by a wall switch. Ensure the telephone cord is securely installed at the base and the wall jack. Why I bought: To be completely honest, I never thought I'd need to buy another hardline phone set. However, a landline was a part of my most recent "package deal" with my cable company (and actually less expensive than not getting a phone line). So, I believed "... what the hell? I'll buy a phone because I have a phone line." I didn't need a top-of-the-line, highly functional phone; I just needed a cordless phone that was affordable and efficient.Shipment: I recently had a negative experience with Amazon's shipping, and a purchase that was supposed to arrive in two days took two weeks. Sincerely, I believe that this order came to my house around 18 hours after I placed it. The fact that it arrived so quickly is arguably the most thrilling aspect of this order because I have no idea how it did.You get what you pay for in far of quality, which is great by me! The components may seem a little "light" and less sturdy than something you would likely pay more for, however this could just be because I haven't owned a cordless phone in a long. The buttons are a tad slow, and you don't receive instant feedback like on a smartphone. It's not a major deal, but I did notice it.Very simple and clear directions for setup. No problems.Features: After plugging it in, nothing more happened. My service provider gives me the option to set up voicemail, but I haven't done it and probably won't.Will I purchase again? Yes. Good value, simple setup, and it works. What else is there to ask for?

Before evaluating, I wanted to put them to use for a bit. I would rate them 4.5 stars if I could. Almost everything about them I adore. I've recently owned a number of cordless phones, and this is by far my favorite (I promptly gave one set because I hated it so much). I'm therefore surprised by some of the unfavorable evaluations.Before I get into the phone in particular, I'd like to briefly make this crucial general comment about reviews in general. You should first be aware of what you're purchasing. For instance, it is your fault and not the fault of the phone if you believed you could use the companion/extra telephone without having the main phone as well. Second, read the item's online manual to learn about all its characteristics. Third, you should get familiar with using both those features and the product as a whole. Fourth, before reviewing the item, you should use it at least a few times. Fifth, after completing all of this, provide a frank and critical assessment with some specifics. There are so many evaluations of this phone written by people who are illiterate in the subject. If they followed all I just said, this wouldn't happen. I'm sick of it because, like many of you, I utilize reviews to help me decide what to buy. I wouldn't have bought this phone set if I had given them something of worth.The appearance of the phone is good. I appreciate the LCD screen's size, the size of the characters it displays, and what it displays. I don't have vision issues at 42 years old, but I simply enjoy things easily seen, which I can do with this phone. The handset number you're using is displayed at the top of the screen. A battery graphic off to the left of the screen displays the charge level. The time and date, as well as any other relevant photographs, are displayed at the bottom. For instance, one screen displays a picture of a bell with a line through it, indicating that I have silenced the ringer on that particular handset. Another illustration: If you pay for a voicemail service and you have voicemail left for you, you will see an envelope on the screen. Although the background is more of a light gray white, the screen is backlit. I would prefer a bright white that is yet legible.I appreciate how the buttons are bigger but not so massive that they suggest you must have poor vision. I must begin this evaluation by stating that Panasonic is the industry leader in cordless phones. I am not employed by or connected to Panasonic in any way. This opinion is held by someone who has used a variety of cordless phones over the past few decades.I've had a Panasonic TG-5566 5.8 Dect phone with several handsets for the past two years. A nice color screen, flashing antenna, and a powerful cordless phone system were all included in this package.The 5.8 phone just wouldn't cover my expansive property, so I decided to upgrade. The lack of range prevented me from talking outside while walking the dog. On my deck, which was at the opposite end of the house from the base unit, I was unable to even talk.I had my eye on the TG7875S for a while but held off on upgrading. First of all, there was no color screen where I could add a photo (my old phone was able to accomplish that). It also lacked an antenna that flashed a light to signal new voice messages. Thirdly, I got the impression that this would be somewhat of a downgrade to all the "bells and whistles" that Panasonic had added to their prior phones from reading the Amazon reviews from genuine owners.I'm so glad I took a chance and purchased the KX-TG7875S.I've used it for a week and I must say that I like it better than my old phone system.To start, it's a good idea to Google the handbook before you even purchase the phone to get an idea of all the things you can do with it. Having said that, I was a little apprehensive about all the menu codes indicated in the instructions that provided quick access to essential features. I have no idea how I'd memorize all these codes. However, you may rest easy knowing that everything is available via the phone's handset navigation screen. You can quickly and easily access any phone feature from the navigation screen if you fiddle around with it a little.The Dect 6.0's range is its strongest feature. With this phone, I have far greater coverage throughout my property than I did with the older one. I'm still unable to receive a signal at the property's far end, though. My purchase of the TGA405B range extender solved that issue. What an amazing little thing that is. I can now walk to the perimeter of my land without losing service because it nearly increased the signal. In a moment, I'll go into more detail regarding this gadget.Regarding speakerphone and handset volume, I read complaints. All of these problems weren't mine. Both have controls to increase the volume, and both function well. The base unit has an integrated answering machine, but I disabled it because I use voice mail instead. If you're a subscriber like me, you'll undoubtedly be disappointed to see that there are no flashing lights to let you know a new voice message is waiting for you; nonetheless, the handset and base both prominently show the notification that a new voice mail message is waiting.It works considerably better than what I was using before and Link2Cell does a fantastic job. I bought an xLINK gadget to link cell phones while I had the older Panasonic phone, which plugged into the phone line. Like the new Link2Cell, it was bluetooth-based, but its range was incredibly short. I was astounded by how much better this phone's bluetooth coverage is for range. It was simple to connect to my iPhone 6 Plus. At the other end of a sizable house, on the top floor, is where the base station is situated. However, my iPhone instantly connects to the base station as I walk through the main entrance. It's amazing because the device I was using before would only connect if I was in the adjacent room. Thanks for this device's Bluetooth range, by the way.So, yes, once your cell phone is connected, your Panasonic phone system will also ring when that phone rings. Even the cell phone's caller ID is transmitted to the Panasonic screen. Although it obviously depends on how strong your cell phone connection is, call quality is extremely high. The quality of my cell phone calls varies because my house has dead zones.What I particularly enjoy is when I receive a notification on my Panasonic phone along with a text message sent to my iPhone. The Panasonic phone ringing and a voice saying "Text Message" are both incredibly cool.In essence, the Panasonic TG7875S enables you to leave your cell phone in its charger while you are at home and completely forget about it. The base and handsets will receive your cell phone calls. You will be informed if you receive a text message.Even though I only required 4 handsets instead of 5, I still stored a spare in case one ever broke. Individual names, such as "Ron Office" or "Living Room," can be added to the handsets. You can call from a handset from one end of the home to another using intercom technology. I also think that someone can pick up a handset and join someone on another handset in a single call, however I haven't tested this.This phone now has two excellent add-ons from Panasonic, which I believe are definitely worth taking into account. The TGA405B range extender, which I've already highlighted in this article, is the first. Your cordless phone system's signal strength will essentially virtually double. Therefore, this is a must-have accessory if you have a big yard and want to be able to walk and converse in it. Just under $30 is the price. The TGA20B Key Detector is the next item. If you lose your keys, you can use your Panasonic phone to find them by attaching it to your keychain. Although the device is cute and compact, I wish the "chirp" it makes were louder. Fortunately, the Panasonic handset changes its signal strength as you get closer to (or farther away from) the keys. Therefore, even if you initially are unable to hear the device's "chirp," the Panasonic phone should be able to direct you there.I believe I have covered all the bases. I just want to reiterate how amazing this phone system is. It becomes an AMAZING phone system when the range extender and keychain finder are added. I'm so glad I decided to purchase this phone system despite the unfavorable reviews.

It is obvious that this isn't the phone for someone looking for a lot of features. Not even numerous hand sets or a speakerphone are present. The undistorted, crystal-clear, natural voice quality and the steady, dependable connection, which never drops or disconnects while you are within range of the base, are what this phone does offer. Although this might not seem unusual, I've had issues with several other phone brands that were far more expensive than this one. Even in the same room, I've seen digital audio chopping and handset connection loss with a number of different DECT cordless phone brands. Since cordless phones are merely duplexed two way radios in a handset, I fully anticipate these issues to arise at the edges of their range.Range appears to be in the middle of the pack. Most large residences with two levels will allow for clear, uninterrupted communication, and most two-acre yards will be covered. You could even be able to use it at your neighbor's home if you're near by. This probably won't go to the back forty if you live on a ranch with 100 acres. Naturally, like with any wireless device, the range will be impacted by how close the base is to nearby objects or windows.When you frequently miss calls or can't understand the caller because their voice shatters even when you're close to the base, all the bells and whistles, including speakerphone and several phones, won't make you pleased. I would want to have a phone with all the features and outstanding reliability, but I can't seem to locate a phone with both of those things. It's true what they say: keep things straightforward for more dependability. This is a great phone if you can do without the extra features.
