In order to replace a runcam that was damaged, I purchased the Caddx Ratel camera. The caddx Ratel is a better camera, it turns out. Please be aware that because it is a micro cam and did not arrive with a mounting bracket, you will need an adapter unless you want to install it in a quad that already has a micro cam mount. The picture quality and low light performance are excellent. We put it to the test in the evening, and it truly makes a difference. For my other quads, I might get a few more of these cams. The choice of lens is also crucial. I selected the 2.1 lens out of the available two options. The alternative, a 1.66 lens, may cause your view to appear fisheye, according to what I've been told (rounded edges in the video). I hope this helps.

Although it works flawlessly, a novice cannot replace it. For your particular GP, watch YouTube videos (assuming that's what it's for). Even then, there were some bothersome physical variations between my model and every other H3W video I found in the videos I viewed for my (apparently) specific model. As a result, my removal was significantly more difficult, and I had to do a less-than-perfect repair to a bonding strap that behaved differently than the ones in the videos. However, there are problems with the camera, not the lens.Purchase an HDMI adaptor to handle the finishing focus. The focal length or overall height (I didn't measure to compare) are two design differences between this lens and an OEM. The inner sheath of my OEM lens was 4.25mm above the surface, which the YouTube cams lacked. I was seeking for a reasonably priced telephoto security camera but was unable. I bet these lenses would suit a $20 WinBook Security camera (C1030DP7) that I purchased. I was able to take out the original wide-angle lens and swap it out with the kit's 12mm lens. As I didn't require night vision, I took the infrared LED board out of the camera. It fit without any issues, and the combo is effective. This served as a far more affordable substitute for a pre-made telephoto camera. One star was deducted since the lens covers arrived in a plastic bag with no extra protection.

Previous CMOS cameras, like the Runcam Eagle, had poor color reproduction at best and full image washout at worst. Usually, this happened when you could least afford it, as when you were racing 3 feet above a grassy field.None of the undesirable traits of those second-generation CMOS cameras exist in the Caddx Ratel. When I initially used it, I was certain that it was a CCD camera. You can avoid electricity lines and small branches thanks to the detail, rich color, and absence of washout. I'm switching to the Ratel from all of my Runcam Eagle and Eagle 2 cameras. Well done, Caddx!

The quality of these cameras for the price still astounds me! They arrived on time and are just as described. We are retired and take our RV on numerous trips. It is convenient to have this extra security at our home when we are traveling. We take one of our four cameras with us on trips so we can set it up on our iPad wi-fi while we are away from the RV during the day. We have four cameras. Again, it's impossible to place a value on peace of mind, but even if you could, you wouldn't anticipate it to be this cheap. We did pay for the cloud service (about $90 annually), but we saw it as a worthwhile cost. Hey, Netflix is cheaper! Since we've had the 4-cam system for roughly two months, there have been no problems at all. The sensitivity settings are excellent. In order to install one of these cameras outside, we also bought the rubber housing for it. Overall, we are quite happy.

The camera picture is incredibly clear and clean, which I appreciate. The overly saturated colors are not to my taste. However, I can soften them after editing. It was simple to modify and fit right into my 130mm LDARC/Kingkong Fly Egg. You can see it in my photos, however I had to create my own DIY mount for it. Although it's not the finest camera, it's far ahead of the Quad's standard 600TVL camera. Along with my LDARC GT8, GT7, ET125, and Mirarobot S85/Eachine M80 racers, I also included these.

I bought this to replace the BetaFPV 75x's stock camera. It functions nicely and is a decent upgrade from the standard camera. The connector must be removed from the end, and the three individual wires must be soldered to the 75x VTX. The colors on the 16:9 version are a little bit more subdued than they are on the 4:3 version, which I also purchased for my other 75x. It's just different, not horrible. Nice camera all around.
