Yes, you can wear a motorcycle helmet while driving a car. There are no laws against it, and it can actually be a good idea in some situations. For example, if you're driving in a state that requires motorcycle riders to wear helmets, wearing one while driving a car will help you avoid getting pulled over. Additionally, if you're driving in an area with a lot of motorcycle traffic, wearing a helmet will make you more visible to other drivers and could help prevent an accident.
There is no definitive answer to this question since it varies from state to state. In some states, you are required to wear a full-face helmet when operating a side by side. However, in other states, you may be able to get away with wearing a half helmet. It is always best to check with your local laws before operating a side by side to ensure you are in compliance.
DOT helmets are designed to protect your head in the event of a crash, but over time the materials and construction of the helmet can degrade. Most manufacturers recommend replacing your helmet every 3-5 years, but check your owner’s manual for specific recommendations. Additionally, if you crash while wearing a DOT helmet, it should be replaced even if it doesn’t appear to be damaged.
Most motorcycle helmets sold in the United States must meet Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) 218. This standard requires manufacturers to place a DOT sticker on the back of helmets that meet the standard. So, if you see a DOT sticker on a helmet, it means that the helmet meets the minimum safety requirements of the FMVSS 218 standard. But just because a helmet has a DOT sticker, doesn't mean that it's the safest helmet on the market. There are other safety standards for motorcycle helmets, such as the Snell Memorial Foundation's M

I must admit that when I purchased it, I wasn't seeking for it; instead, I was purchasing helmet shields. Because I was purchasing shields, Amazon presented it to me as something I would want to purchase. I'm delighted they did because I was looking for something new. The product quality is excellent, and even the straightforward instructions and packaging gave people reason to be confident. I'll feel like I got my money's worth even if I only wear it once. The bad news is that only one of my three helmets could fit it. I have the largest shell size available for each of the three models I own—the Shoei GT-Air, Scorpion AT950, and Icon Airmada. The only helmet it fit was the Icon, but even so, it was a really decent fit. The other two helmets are more touring/ADV with internal drop shields, therefore they are longer. On the Shoei, I could almost start it, but there was no chance with the Scorpion. That's fortunate because I always wear the Icon when I'm planning fun short rides. With the cover on, I am able to lift the shield to the first detent, which is advantageous for ventilation when necessary. The XL Airmada is stretching the cover to its maximum length as the bottom practically wraps around the corners of the helmet. Smaller sizes should fit without any issues, and sportier helmets work better with the cover than long touring and ADV models. The instructions state that a dark shield is better for the cover, however I only have mirrored silver and gold for the Icon, which I believe still gives the cover a really nice look. Tomorrow, I'm going to give it a try, and then I'll update the review to reflect how it rides and any feedback I receive.

The quality of this helmet really caught me off guard, but in a good manner! I anticipated low quality at this pricing point and unavoidable traumatic brain injury in the event that I actually wore it in an accident. I bought this as a backup in case an unforeseen riding companion joins us and borrows a quad or bike. I truly want to use this helmet in place of my current one. The shell and associated pieces are robust, the foam padding is detachable, and it has the "feel" of a decent helmet. VERY comfy, and the fit is excellent. You won't be dissatisfied because a helmet like this should cost at least $80. Before they realize it and raise the price, buy it cheap!

Our 13-year-old son was experiencing migraines as a result of the overhead stadium lights during nighttime practices, so we bought him the tinted light grey anti glare visor. Visors are prohibited in our league, but they are allowed during practice; however, they must be taken off for games. "Easy to install" has the lowest rating. The visor required frequent removal and installation (rain and games). Even though he made it look simple, my husband struggled to line up the pieces so they could attach to the helmet. Being mechanically challenged, I found it extremely difficult to attach the visor. The visor is extremely robust. not a scratch. When it was worn, it reduced glare and prevented migraines. The middle school's provided helmet fit in it. The value of the visor depends on its intended use. Although this visor is by far the most affordable, spending $35 on a piece of plastic is still difficult. We needed a headache remedy, so it was worthwhile for us.

a great value. Stunning helmet, as well. Every time I go boarding, I receive quite a few compliments on it, mostly because to the bamboo. The ear compartments fit perfectly. Add some speakers, then turn it up.The earmuffs don't fit quite as snugly as other helmets, which was the only true drawback. I've worn helmets that fit so snugly I didn't require a beanie. But I still required one for this one. It's not ideal, then. But it's all fine because the previous time I visited Mammoth, the mountain was closed due to a snowstorm, and the majority of visitors left. Weaklings. Throughout the big pow, I was cozy and bopping to music.By no means is it a low-profile shell. So you might want to think twice if you have a somewhat large head. The huge that I wear really shows. I also don enormous hats. But here's the thing: I genuinely don't care, and nobody around me even mentioned the size. Check out the two images I added. You can see how huge the shell size is in the group photo. The other, though, is flawless. I also look sick as hell. All of it is optics, bro.You should absolutely purchase a Bern if you are obsessed with tiny shells. However, you would pay nearly twice as much and appear identical to everyone else on the hill.

This helmet features several positive attributes as well as some negative ones. I purchased this helmet to serve as a cheap alternative for commuting. The helmet looks fantastic, to start. basic but with style. It has a lot to offer in terms of commuting.Pros:You have an incredibly broad and tall field of view thanks to the visor. There is no need to see through the porthole in this situation. Considering there are three forward vents, ventilation is actually fairly good. Low speeds of 15 to 30 mph offer a respectable airflow to reduce fogging and offer comfort. The chin bar is roomy, nearly to the point of feeling too so. If you use a communications system like a sena, this gives you plenty of room for a mic boom. The price of the item includes a dark shield, which is actually dark enough to be helpful during the day. However, in low light, it is too dark, therefore you need carry the transparent shield.Visor locks positively snap into place in each position. The chin strap quick release is simple to operate when wearing gloves, however the strap itself needs to be cut because it contains far too much additional material.Cons: The vents don't lock into place with a snap. They don't move quickly, but they also don't provide you any comfort. The top vents are small and feature oddly shaped adjusters that require some getting accustomed to when wearing gloves. The chin vent has two locations and is simple to manipulate with gloves.More padding could be added inside.Although the overall level of quality doesn't feel low, it doesn't exactly exude confidence either. Due to small issues that are easily fixable, it unfortunately feels just like a cheap helmet. When switching visors, the visor lock system feels subpar. So, it's not flawless. Neither would I anticipate it to be. In a market where pricey helmets predominate, I believe it has the potential to be a decent value alternative based on first impressions. If anything alters, whether for the better or worse, I'll update while I wear it.Update: There is a little blue tint to the dark visor. Though not disastrous, I don't think it's ideal. The helmet was not quite snug enough after a month of use. ILM responded to my request and agreed to send me a free medium-sized liner. Excellent client service, I must say.

RETRACTABLE VISOR - Helmet is equipped with a retractable, tinted sun visor so that you don’t have to carry sunglasses with you. The visor can be retracted into the helmet when not needed. When retracted, the visor is almost invisible in the overall helmet design.
CLASSIC HALF HELMET DESIGN - The helmet has a classic half-helmet design reminiscent of early riding helmets. Coming in matte black or glossy black, this helmet will look sleek with any bike.
ADJUSTABLE CHIN STRAP - The helmet has an adjustable quick release chin strap equipped with sliders around the ear-loops in order to accommodate for any head size or shape. The straps are easily adjustable and, when adjusted correctly, provide maximum protection with maximum comfort.
LIGHT WEIGHT AND SMALL FOOTPRINT - The helmet is incredibly light weight, weighing in at around 2.03 lbs. The helmet’s small design means that it can easily be slipped into a backpack, under a bike seat or carried under your arm without any effort.
DOT FMVSS.218 CERTIFIED - The helmet meets all requirements for DOT FMVSS.218 certification and every batch of helmets undergoes random quality checks in order to make sure the highest quality product is the one your receive.

3.5 stars in total. The fast release chin strap is a good touch, and the padding on the helmet appears to be well-built and comfy. The built-in sliding sunshade is also great; when I tested it out, it was suitably placed in front of my eyes (I suspect that the complaints of the shade being too high were the result of the user either not pulling it down all the way or they had the helmet tilted back on their head). The size issue is the only issue. It appears that the hard outer shell is the same size and varied padding thicknesses are simply added inside to accommodate different head sizes. Unfortunately, I have a small head (helmet size S) and can confirm what some other reviewers referred to as "mushroom head." It just looks ridiculous and feels top-heavy on a little head. The gap between the shell and my skull was nearly 2 full inches all around (not open space; it was filled with padding), but tip your head back and it's kind of like an umbrella catching wind. I'm sure it's still as safe as any other DOT-certified half-helmet, but the excessively sized bucket not only looks silly, but will catch air like you wouldn't believe. This helmet shouldn't cause you the same stylistic problem as I did if you have a larger head.

It's a really useful and reasonably priced helmet, and I find it to be fairly comfortable (some people disagree). The buckle is completely bizarre (see photos; don't mind the mannequin in the back), but for $25, you're coming out on top for having DOT certification. I purchased it as an extra for my Honda Shadow when I have a passenger. Caution! If you're trying to impress a date, don't make them wear it because it's very hideous. This is your best option if you require a helmet and the struggle is serious.Additionally, the slowest and cheapest shipping they offered was incredibly quick and actually arrived in four days. A helmet will save you money and your life, but it won't get you any dates.

Prevents fogging by deflecting air intake
Replacement chin curtain for the IS-Max Helmets

The two red plastic "pre-attached" female mounts in the face guard exactly suit my HJC IS-MAX II. The wind noise will decrease as a result, but use caution. Your helmet will become warmer. Additionally, if you are driving at night or in the cold, your breath or moisture may cause your windshield to fog up. I definitely recommend an anti-fog pinlock shield, which I own. You may always purchase the less expensive "breath box," but it is large and might occasionally hurt your nose. If you already have that installed, it directs the wind DOWN and into the neck skirt.
Most side by sides come with a roll cage and seat belts, which means that they offer more protection than an ATV. However, you should still wear a helmet when you're driving a side by side. A helmet can protect you from head injuries if you roll over or have a collision.
A white helmet will not necessarily keep you cooler, but it will reflect sunlight and heat away from your head. If you are looking for a helmet that will keep you cool, look for one that is ventilated and has a sweat-wicking liner.
There are a few ways that you can tell if your motorcycle helmet is DOT approved. One way is to look for the DOT logo on the back of the helmet. Another way is to look for a sticker on the inside of the helmet that says that the helmet meets DOT standards.
Most people would say that a bike helmet is not adequate protection for riding an ATV, and they would be right. Bike helmets are designed to protect against head injuries in case of a fall from a bicycle, but they are not designed to protect against the much higher speeds and impacts that can occur when riding an ATV. For this reason, it is important to wear a helmet specifically designed for ATV riding when operating this type of vehicle.
Motorcycle helmets and ATV helmets are not the same. Motorcycle helmets are designed to protect the rider's head in a fall or collision. They are made of a hard outer shell and a soft inner liner. ATV helmets are designed to protect the rider's head, neck and face in a fall or collision. They have a visor to protect the rider's eyes from debris.
There is a difference between a motorcycle helmet and a dirt bike helmet. A motorcycle helmet is made to protect the rider's head in a crash, while a dirt bike helmet is made to protect the rider's head from impact while riding.
