As an U14 attack, my son needs shooting practice. Having a backstop enables you to chase down balls less and get more shots. There is no denying that this results in greater expertise.Previously, I had created my own backstop using batting cage netting and PVC. After much deliberation, I decided against trying to replicate this design since I was unable to acquire high-quality netting in the required sizes. Oh, then there's also the cost. Ouch. As if lacrosse weren't already an expensive sport.All of this is to say that I was quite judgmental of myself as I was unpacking. The structure is of excellent quality. Even though I had a little issue with the directions, I managed to install it in under 30 minutes.Although I've only had it installed for four months, I already know that the netting will last for many seasons. Although the netting is not particularly thick, the frame's construction is really creative. I think the frame will reduce the number of holes that generally appear in a taught goal net since it helps the net absorb a significant amount of the ball's impact. Particularly on the side wings, this is true. They are not grounded by anything. I had assumed that the ball would be able to pass, but instead it sort of wraps around the net before giving way and dropping the ball directly at the base of the goal.My youngster made a fantastic addition. Behind the goal, he stitched a rope along the netting's edge. This accelerates ball recovery by creating a pocket that collects all the balls that were sent above the top bar.Conclusion: Despite the fact that I believe this backstop to be overpriced (I mean, it cost more than both the cage and the net together! ), I don't regret purchasing it because it was the greatest option I could find and because it really increases the number of shots each hour.We have experienced the backstop collapsing a few times, like others, but it hasn't been a huge issue. If things worsen, I'm confident we can secure with lashings.

The target, which has had good training, gets battered. The only issue is that a few of the nylon loop connectors have fractured as a result of repeated shots. The connectors will need to be changed, even though the target wasn't torn. I have concerns regarding the other connectors because we have just had the setup for a month.

BUY THIS GOAL if you want a high-quality backyard goal that won't break the money.Since we've had it for a week, the only issue I can think of is that we need to tighten the net string because the net has broken.In contrast to other steel goals, this thing is durable, solid, yet lightweight. And if you needed to store it for the winter or anything else, you could quickly disassemble it. Several new parents in our lacrosse community have heard about this from us. One of the top 10 goals of the season, according to ratings, was this one. It's the ideal size for practice in the backyard at 6x6.I've noticed a few unfavorable remarks and reviews, and all I can advise is to disregard them. The majority of them are dissatisfied with threading the net. That's all it is: tiresome. I spent around 20 minutes putting everything up (netted and everything) with my 12-year-old.If the ground is not precisely level or you live in a windy city, I also advise placing a sandbag, paver stone, or other heavy object on the back corner to prevent it from tipping forward.

My son, a lacrosse player in high school, maintains a goal in the backyard. He uses it frequently; he probably shoots on it nine months out of the year. After he kept it for nearly two years, the net had holes and it appeared worn out. I gave him a normal replacement net at the time, which he had to string into the goal; it took him some time and a lot of swearing.That net was looking worn-out and tattered two years later. He refused every time I insisted he buy a new one since he didn't want to deal with the hassle of a replacement. After that, I spotted this bungee net and bought it (I purchased the "lacrosse" size, which fits a typical lacrosse goal). Wow, what genius! I wish I had come up with it!He put this new net on in literally one minute after taking off the worn-out one. It could not be simpler, looks fantastic, and withstands the 18-year-old attackman's shots with ease. First off, this is created specifically for the Champion frame; hence, I assume it wouldn't perform as well on other brands of bounce backs. Although there are no instructions for replacement, what must be done is rather obvious. But the work essentially requires two people. After putting several on, the stress on the springs gets VERY difficult, and we eventually found ourselves having one person pull the spring as another gently tapped the spring into the frame with a hammer. There were no directions, so perhaps there was another option. nonetheless, works fantastic. It was good to keep the existing frame rather than spending two times as much on a brand-new set.

I adore this item. We leased a Bownet Halo from our local club for a few weeks, which allowed my son to practice shooting without worrying about missing the cage and striking the fence or neighbor's windows. I purchased the old EZGoal on Amazon for about $45 in the hopes that it would perform admirably because a Halo costs about $250.I was surprised to find that the EZGoal is superior to the Halo for our purposes because it is simple and quick to adjust the wings to provide effective backstop coverage from a range of angles (for example, to practice wrap shots when dodging from X - see attached picture).a few assembly pointers that I found to be effective: (2) thread a long bungee cord (or 2, as I did) through the top squares of the top net, which keeps the top net tight, and (3) drill the holes in your current cage and attach the EZGoal with the included bolts, which makes everything much more stable and enables quick and easy adjustment of the wings (keeping it tight is hard to do with only the included rope).The one thing I wish we had done sooner is to purchase one of these.
