I adore this cable since it is so reasonably priced for a cable this length, as well as being extremely well constructed and weatherproof. It may also be used for pretty much anything else you want to secure. Along with Bike Lock, Cable Combination Lock, Outdoor Gate Lock, Self Coiling, 3.25 ft X 1/2 inch Bicycle Lock with Mounting Bracket, Used to Secure Gate, Travel and Sports Equipment, I used this to secure the gate. To attach a pricey hose wheel cart to the side of my house by Neteez (it was for all intents and purposes in the front yard with nothing to keep it from being wheeled away by unscrupulous people). The 30 foot steel cable is now securely attached to my hose cart after I wrapped one end of it around a pole on the side of my house and locked the other end with the lock. I used to secure my iMac to the frame and leg of my desk. The vinyl case's high quality prevents it from scratching my iMac. Although it is thicker than I anticipated, I had no problems using it. I wish businesses who offer security wires would include pennies, dimes, or quarters so we could evaluate their thickness. Then, I could have chosen 5mm cable. People need to understand that something is being done to impede thieves. No cable can completely prevent theft. Cables are easily cuttable. Thieves are only put off by thicker ones. The vinyl is first sliced and peeled, after which the braids are picked apart and cut one at a time. The longer it takes for them, the thicker the cable. I only purchased this cable to deter potential thieves. I just don't enjoy being a target, so I leave my iMac out in the open to be taken if someone tries to break in. Let's face it, any security mechanism can be circumvented with the right tools, enough time, and enough effort. However, this connection appears to be a cheap approach to make things somewhat challenging for the typical burglar. It comes in substantially longer lengths and is heavier and thicker than the majority of comparable cables. I'm utilizing the 15 foot length to secure a few bikes on my deck using a 1/2" stainless U bolt, a Master padlock, and those three items. Bolt cutters probably wouldn't be able to cut through this cable very quickly. The task would presumably be accomplished using an angle grinder, but it would likely be sufficient to cut through my lock as well. The next level up from this would be something more expensive, like a Kryptonite lock and chain.

I have an Abus Granit Plus 640 heavy-duty U-lock that I use to attach my bike's frame and rear wheel to a bike rack. I also have a seat with a quick release. I run one loop of this KryptoFlex 525 cable through the bottom of the seat's stay, then I run the other loop through the first loop, and finally I run the through loop all the way to the U-lock. I don't have to carry the cord around because it can fit through my helmet. The quick release front wheel is fastened to the U-lock using a second short, stronger cable. This KryptoFlex 525 could certainly be cut through in a few minutes by someone with a decent pair of wire cutters who knew what they were doing, but where can I acquire a secondhand helmet and seat? This deters little thefts, not the work of a professional thief; be aware of what you're buying. With the second short cable suspended between the seat stays and the rear bike rack while I'm riding, the KryptoFlex 525, which is compact and lightweight, eliminates the need to carry the U-lock with brackets on the down tube. In a nutshell, it fulfills my needs well.

To lock up our Segway Ninebot ES4 kick scooters, we bought Sanwo 2 feet x 1/2 inch locks. The ES4 may be quickly fastened to a street sign, lightpost, or bike rack. Sometimes a single lock can be used to secure both ES4s. If you intend to secure an ES4, make sure to buy the lock with a 2 foot (or less) length so that it cannot be taken over the handle bars or the wheels, even when it is not fastened to a post (or other object). Occasionally, we have discovered that a single lock can lock two scooters. If greater length is required, two locks can be combined. Now I hear some of you suggesting that an iPhone app can lock the ES4 kick scooter. The software is buggy, and even if it worked well, the scooter is light enough and compact enough to be transported anywhere, and changing the controller is simple enough. We purchased the black lock to match the color of our ES4s in order to avoid drawing unwanted attention with a bright color. The plastic coating prevents any damage to the scooter and makes it simple to loop the lock over the handlebars. My 13-year-old kid asked for a lock after having to pursue a vagrant who had stolen his scooter from in front of the grocery shop. He has used a number of combination locks in the past, all of which had to be thrown away when he forgot the codes. Since my son is more adept with keys, I only choose this one because of the keyed lock. He still misplaces them, but he eventually finds them that day, which is funny. Additionally, a tubular lock must be picked with a pricey set of specialized tools.Consider the threat level and adjust your spending. This lock costs very little money and will be perfect for your child's bike at the elementary or middle school bike rack. Most likely, you wouldn't give your child a $2,000 mountain bike to ride to school. Excellent bracket and length.I need a lock that is both large enough to complete the task and small enough to not obstruct anything. And I want a bracket that holds the lock firmly and securely while still allowing for simple attachment and disconnection.Numerous bicycle locks are either too short or too lengthy. Being excessively long is irritating since the lock will be bulky and heavy, which means it will break the bracket, wobble, or be difficult to reattach. He is the perfect length to mount the bike to a pole or rack and/or secure the front tire to the frame.The bracket is quite strong and well-made. The bracket's release button operates well. Additionally, the lock's strip that connects to the bracket is both a good size and robust.Bonus points if the combination spins well and doesn't allow a thief to test other numbers to figure out the combination by playing with them.After 18 months of ownership, I'm ending this review and returning to buy two more for my wife's bike and a new/second bike for myself. Highly suggested.
