My son and I need six rods when catfishing, so I ordered these for that purpose. We don't use these on two of my reels since they are baitcasters with built-in clicker-style bite alerts, but they work great on our spinning rods. They are so perceptive that they may pick up nibbles from little fish that are devouring the bait. The alarm will go off and the led will light up when a fish really catches the bait. This will continue until the fish lets go or you turn the alarm off. In the daytime and at night, the light may be seen from a distance of at least twenty yards. They are easily audible from more than 75 yards away. I'll be purchasing more. More warnings are more economical to purchase than batteries...

I adore these items! 20 years of night fishing experience. I'm constantly looking for anything to illuminate the tip of the rod so I can tell when I've been hit. I used to tape 8-inch glowsticks to rods for ten years, but NOT ANYMORE! These have very sturdy spring loaded clips that are incredibly simple and quick to put on and take off. I can cast a 6 to 10 ounce weight and a big bait without taking them off. The AG3/LR41 batteries that come with them often last 48 hours. Six journeys are required if you estimate 8 hours per night. But since replacement batteries are reasonably priced here, there is no issue. I can't speak highly enough of them. The only fault I can find with these is that you have to remove a spacer between the battery and the contact in order to turn them on after screwing them together. When not in use, slide your finger back between the contacts to stop them from turning on. But aside from that, they are flawless.

A better alert than a bell was required to let me know when I had a fish on. Despite the fact that our dock is far from the home, I can still hear the alert and see the light turn on at night. Because I couldn't see the poles bend with the bite at night, I missed far too many huge cats when they stayed on the line for an excessive amount of time. These provided the solution. They are easy to use and have fantastic results thus far.

I bought these bells so that my ice fishing rods would sound an alarm if I disappeared. Even in the bitterly cold conditions, the clips held the bell to the rod securely. The bells are distinct and loud enough to be heard with the doors closed in my ice fishing house. These worked better than previous designs I'd tested that didn't stand up as well to the punishment that winter dishes out on fishing gear. Considering that they would definitely break or fail, I purchased the set of 20 in order to have lots of extras on hand. To my astonishment, even after a demanding season of fishing on the hardwater, I still had 20 functional bells. Additionally, the pricing is excellent, especially when compared to neighborhood shops that charge $6 for a 2-pack of subpar goods.

fantastic stuff However, I would have preferred a volume control knob. It's quite noisy when fishing in confined spaces close to other people. I do enjoy the loud level, so I have no trouble hearing it while I'm far from my stationary pole. When fishing in confined, quiet, and discreet regions, I only wish I could modify it.
