I recently purchased this new scoop and adore it! Before making a purchase, I read the reviews, and now that I know more, some of the comments confuse me.- The slots are overly broad, according to some. They are 3/8-inch, just like the slots on my plastic scoop, which I bothered to measure.- Some people claimed it is heavy. I measured it, and while it is undoubtedly heavier than a plastic scoop, it only weighs 9.8 oz, or approximately the same as a potato. Unless you clean 40 litter boxes every day at a kennel, using this scoop shouldn't be too taxing. Additionally, I find that it is gentler on my wrist because, unlike the plastic one, it does not bend or require me to twist my wrist in order to lift it from the trash.- Regarding sharp edges: They are not as sharp as a razor, but they are sharper than they could be. I won't contact the metal edges until I start using a scoop, so I don't see it as a problem for me. Additionally, I don't see how this will do any harm unless the person who complained about it cutting the edge of the litter box is hacking at the box like they are chopping wood! The maker could still wish to sharpen those edges.- Then there is the issue of scooping out the entire litter as opposed to just the clumps. Okay, if you want to be traditional and clear the area of all the trash using a shovel. You shouldn't, however, purchase a scoop with slots and then whine about the slots! Those of us with limited financial resources separate the clumps from the clumping litter and allow the remaining pieces to fall through the slots and back into the box. It's great that!I use the front corner of this scoop, which lacks a slot, to remove the tiny stray pieces that are too small to fit through the slots. It runs smoothly.This scoop seems to be sturdy. This better last me 13 years considering my $5 cheap plastic scoop only lasted 5 years. I think it will.

Although I also have a metal scoop, this one is far superior. I use alternative litter, which is also known as 16% chicken crumble and is available at most farm supply stores. It comes in the shape of tiny grains, about the size of a wheat grain. The majority of scoops contain slits or holes that are intended for Scoop Away and other commercial litters. The majority of scoops sold at pet stores are made to filter through smaller-particle litters, and in my experience, they don't perform as well with larger particles.This scoop performs flawlessly. The sifting is quicker as well as stronger because the larger particles in my litters seem to slide between the scoop's blades more easily. Yes, it costs two to three times as much as the cheap plastic scoops from Walmart, but considering how many litter boxes I use it in every day, it's well worth the extra money.If someone from iPrimio reads this review, I would suggest making a little adjustment to the wall mounting bracket, which already has self-adhesive foam tape for quick wall installation. I like utilizing screws to fasten my products to walls and other surfaces. I bored two holes in a plastic bracket for the sifter case and fastened it to the mounting surface above the litter box with two tiny stainless screws. I frequently alter items I purchase, some of them in very basic ways, like drilling two holes in this bracket. I am an engineer, so I have all the materials, equipment, and skills I require. However, since many individuals lack these things, they might decide against doing what I did for fear of destroying the bracket, performing it incorrectly, etc. I would advise making two holes in the plastic bracket, as I did, and possibly include a notation stating that the bracket can be fastened to the mounting surface (a wall, for example) using two screws or tape on the box or mounting instructions on their website.Just my opinion...

As fantastic as scooping poop and pee might be, I have been using this product for over two weeks and it is great.I recently got one from a different manufacturer; while I liked it, there were a few areas where I felt it might be improved. So I continued to look. I made the decision to buy the model that includes a teflon coating and a small hook for hanging on the wall. It includes the upgrades I was searching for. It scoops up a LOT more of the little bits that every other scoop leaves behind and has a somewhat shorter handle and less weight. Additionally, I have much greater access to the corners and tiny crevices in the litter box. It picks up the used litter and leaves the good litter behind, so I can save money. I made the mistake of purchasing a litter scoop from the dollar store, but I soon understood why scoops were being sold for considerably more money there. I looked online for a scoop that would be able to sort through the litter without breaking the handle or hurling a scoopful of filthy litter in my face when it got stuck in a mound of you know what.This scoop was the least expensive metal one I came across (there was no way I was going to risk buying a plastic scoop online). It seemed like a good idea to me. I must admit that I was eager to use it when it first came. This won't bend like the cheap dollar shop scoop because it is really strong. It works great and even easily removes the urine clumps clinging to the bottom. Even though the little poop clumps occasionally get stuck in the holes, this is preferable to sticking the rough edges of the other scoop into the poop and getting little poop nuggets stuck to the tips. I merely push them outside using the bag.I advise everyone to replace their plastic scoops with a metal one like this one instead.

There are two cats in our home. We had been making use of the standard plastic scoop that so many of us buy from PetSmart. It recently broke.Given that it being the holiday season, I made the decision to look around a bit and see what choices were available. There are several different metal scoops available. I saw that this scoop has "teeth" at the forward edge and chose this design since I was aware that litter box corners frequently resemble cement.It's incredible! As someone with physical limitations and chronic pain, bending to scoop a litter box can be too much for me. I just need 4-6 scoops to remove the entire contents of the box using this scoop. And that includes the use of two cats. The size and durability of this scoop enable super-fast scooping and prevent a lot of fallout from creating a mess, even if I have been lazy and allowed it to go two or three days without scooping.The teeth on the forward edge, I reasoned, make it easy to remove cement-like litter clumps off the ground.The hook features a handy square of 3M adhesive for wall adherence on the back of it, or you can use a screw and plastic anchor if you'd rather.According to an email I got, Scoop had a lifetime warranty. I use this to clean the repti-sand-filled cage that houses my bearded dragons.I adore how the front edge is flat and strong enough to dig all the way to the bottom of the cage to remove the debris. The openings make it simple for the clean sand to return to the cage. The holes, in my opinion, would be too small if you intended to use this for clay-type litter.

I think the scooper is fine, in contrast to other critics who claim it is flimsy. No less durable than other scoopers I've used that came with kitty litter boxes or ones I bought alone. The fact that the edge isn't straight across doesn't bother me, but then then, I use crystal kitty litter, which doesn't clump like regular litter, so maybe that's why.The container used to store the scooper when not in use appears to be of sufficient quality, and as the scooper really sits on a small shelf, all that is required to seal the container is to set it in place correctly and push the scooper's handle into the compartment that conceals it. In my photograph, the scooper is seated inside it when it is open, and the container is also shown empty, so hopefully looking at it will make more sense of my clumsy description of how it closes. I adore not having to bother about placing the scooper into a plastic bag and just setting it in there. That was my motivation for buying this set, and a plastic scooper alone would have cost the same (or less). That is unbeatable!Because crystal cat litter doesn't clump and adhere to the scooper as conventional cat litter would, I can't comment on how simple it is to clean. Nevertheless, given that it appears to be made of the same type of plastic as previous plastic scoopers, I don't think cleaning it will be any more difficult.I don't know how long the scooper

A few months ago, I believed I had discovered the ideal five-star worthy scooper. Up until it split in half, at which point it was degraded to a 2-3 star scooper. I restarted my search for a superb scooper deserving of collecting Earl's poop.Unfortunately, I saw reviews claiming that this scooper was too large. There is no way that a scooper exists that would allow me to scoop my poop without having to stoop down even closer to the poop, I reasoned to myself.I was happy to receive this larger-than-average pooper scooper when it was delivered. I glanced at Earl since he knew I was curious about whether he finished his box while I was at work. He did!This is a fantastic large scooper. I don't believe it's too big at all because my pet is 18 pounds, and I will use it a lot because the clumping litter expands two times the size of the urine. When I get home, it doesn't even bend and easily picks up the big pee bricks.Some of the smaller refugee bits fall through the scooper, which is the only very little objection I have—not it's a deal breaker for me.This is the ideal lazy man's pooper scooper, according to Earl and Erin; it cleans the entire box in a single scoop without requiring you to bend over.We've come to the end of our examination of the pooper scooper.

I made the decision to utilize my own scoop in addition to the Booda caddy/scoop holder after reading reviews that mentioned the scoop's flaws. Unfortunately, it won't fit the scoop I already have. The scoop that comes with the Booda set is 11.5 inches long, 5 inches wide (on the scoop edge), and 2.5 inches deep. I measured it for the benefit of other prospective customers. You should be fine if your scoop is that size or if you purchase one that is similar in size. I believe a longer handle may be used without any issues. (My other scoop is a Petmates Curvations Jumbo Cat Litter Scoop, in case anyone was curious.) Size: 2.5 inches deep and 5.5 inches wide. Length, which, as I mentioned, I don't think matters, is 13.3 inches.)Added later: The iPrimio XL scoop also does not fit the caddy. The scoop is longer and taller than either scoop, despite being shallower and less wide than the Curvations. The scoop section is too tall/long to fit in the Booda scoop's holder; I'm not referring to the handle. :(
