I installed these where they were needed on the dash of my 1988 Samurai, and man, I smashed two of the three bulbs when attempting to pry them out from their tiny holders. Regarding these bulbs, they mounted incredibly quickly and painlessly required only one switch to be flipped, which was fantastic.They are definitely a huge boost in terms of brightness! I would advise against placing them in the dash blinker area since (when you install an LED relay to replace the OEM one) these suckers are BRIGHT in the green indications, so I'll have to add a little window shade or something to decrease the amount of light that passes through the green lens.It took some time to remove the AC control bulb, but once the LED was installed, it was incredibly clear and simple to see both during the day and at night.Despite having the same temperature rating, they are a little brighter than the 194 bulbs I purchased from another vendor, thus my speedometer has a brighter spot, but that's okay too.

Had some other similar LEDs in there, but these are figuratively three times brighter. On my 2006 Range Rover Sport, I used these to replace all of the interior lights and the puddle lights, and there is a noticeable improvement. These are incredible.I've utilized a third alternative LED for inside lighting, and I'm finally satisfied. I tried smaller ones, but they just didn't produce as much light as I needed. I tried another one that looked very similar to them but was more of a blueish pure white because I had extras. These have a color temperature of 5000 kelvins, which is pure white light similar to daylight.The older, comparable lights were actually brighter and produced more light inside the cabin than the other two combined. The puddle lights illuminate the ground at night so you can actually see what's all around you.If the bulb turns on and out, simply turn it around so the pins are on the opposite sides, and you're ready to go. They are bulbs with directed current.

Due to the package, these LEDs made a terrific first impression. They come in a sturdy cardboard box with a detachable cover. It resembles a tiny shoe box in some ways but is made of thicker cardboard. The box definitely kept the LEDs safe, and it also serves as a secure storage location for the stock bulbs I changed.I'm using these LEDs in a 2014 Dodge Charger as reverse lights. It's true that they are brighter than the stock halogens, but they aren't blindingly so, which is a nice thing. A reverse light, that is. How many lumens should you actually cast toward the back of your car? These LEDs' white color temperature provides my 2014 Charger a more contemporary and updated appearance, and it blends well with the Charger's original factory-installed LEDs on the back end. My license plate light was also replaced to a white LED, and they now match in color.Overall, I wasn't overly impressed with these LEDs' brightness, but I soon realized that wasn't the main reason I had purchased them. I purchased them to give my car a more contemporary, refurbished appearance, and they accomplish precisely that—at least while I'm in reverse. Haha. I hope they last a very long time. They were definitely worth the $12 to $14 I spent on them.

I purchased these 3157 red replacement LEDs after being unimpressed by the Philips LEDs. They are quite bright and work nicely with my 2017 F150's stock reflectors, which were made for incandescent bulbs. They unmistakably illuminate the entire reflector. Compared to incandescent bulbs, they are considerably brighter. I was unable to capture them in adequate video or images that do them credit.Although they do cause hyperflash on the dash indicator (a problem with vehicle programming, not the LEDs), the turn signals continue to flash normally.Since they are not polarity-sensitive, a bridge rectifier must be present in the circuit. Additionally, the wide voltage range indicates that the circuit has a voltage limit. Not a big deal, but more parts will break down sooner rather than later. I'm hoping they will last more than a year. We shall see.

My backup lights were a direct replacement, and it went without a hitch. I changed the front blinkers and headlights since I couldn't see very well out the rear when backing up, and I was quite happy with the results. The stock bulbs in my 1995 Ford Mustang are dated, so I can see much better with the LEDs. These were the perfect upgrade for my illumination. When I noticed that the heat sinks needed to be soldered in and were getting hot and melting everything, I almost didn't. However, I did find a replacement led relay for under my dash, and now I can run all of the LEDs without any problems. The hipper the blink, the better everything works. I would heartily advise you to purchase again.

So far, all three of the installed lamps are functional. They do have good heatsinking, which should result in a lengthy lifespan.Although the hue doesn't particularly appeal to me, I personally like a "yellowish" light over the brilliant white light that seems to be so popular with toddlers these days. To be fair, the item description does mention that this is one of those bright white bulbs.Comparable to the incandescent bulbs it is replacing in terms of brightness (hard to tell without a light intensity meter and due to the color temperature difference).They fitted snuggly into place since the bulbs were the same size as the ones they were replacing. I never had polarity problems; either I just got lucky, or maybe these are made to be polarity-insensitive.

I've determined that projector housings work better for LED lights than reflecting housings. After having excellent results with my low beam LED lights used in projector housing, I bought these H16 fog light bulbs. My fog lights are enclosed in reflective housing, and the LED headlights really brought out the yellowish tint in the halogen fog lights. These undoubtedly equal the headlights' white brightness, but they don't appear to cast as much of a light down the road as the halogens they replaced. Halogen lights often produce an oblong light pattern, whereas LEDs appear to produce a horizontal pattern. Consequently, they don't appear to be as effective in contrast. Fog will be the only genuine test, and it should appear this winter. However, at least in the classic sense, I am not yet impressed with these as fog lights.UPDATE: My worries that the fog lights wouldn't function as intended when we had fog in the Pacific Northwest for nearly a week. As fog lights, these are NOT appropriate! An ellipse light should be sent along the road advance by fog lights. These categorically don't. In fog, the large horizontal pattern they cast is worthless. They complement the LED headlights nicely when they are on, however in fog they are useless.
